Ukraine Still Hitting Russian Energy Sites, Kremlin Says, As Naval Ceasefire Not Yet Implemented

It has been less than 24 hours since an expanded Ukrainian 'partial ceasefire' was announced to include not just a 30-day halt in attacking energy infrastructure, but a pause in attacks in the Black Sea, and already there are accusations that the deal has been broken once again.

Russia has said the naval ceasefire would only come into force after Washington lifts sanctions against its food and fertilizer trade. The energy and Black Sea ceasefires were announced Tuesday, having been agreed to in separate meetings between both waring countries and the US in Saudi-hosted talks.

The Russian Defense Ministry has said that overnight there were several new attacks targeting Russia's energy infrastructure, including UAVs sent against the Glebovskoye underground gas storage facility in Crimea.

The ministry also cited the loss of power for some 4,000 people in Kursk region after a Ukrainian drone struck an energy facility.

These ongoing attacks are happening, the ministry said Wednesday, "despite a public statement by Zelensky about accepting the Russian-American agreements reached in Riyadh on March 24 to stop attacks on civilian energy facilities."

"By continuing to deliver damage to Russia’s civilian energy infrastructure, the Kiev regime is, in fact, doing everything to disrupt the Russian-American agreements on implementing step-by-step measures to resolve the Ukrainian conflict," the statement read.

US intelligence warns of Russian media ‘threat’

Moscow’s “influence activities” are expected to intensify and become more sophisticated, a new report has claimed

The allegation was made in the 2025 Annual Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community, which was made available to the public on Tuesday. The document is said to reflect “the collective insights” of the country’s spy agencies.

The authors claimed that Moscow “uses influence activities to counter threats, including by stoking political discord in the West, sowing doubt in democratic processes and US global leadership, degrading Western support for Ukraine, and amplifying preferred Russian narratives.”

Russia employs so-called ‘troll farms’, which spread information through fake accounts, and “state media outlet RT in its efforts to covertly shape public opinion in the US, amplify and stoke domestic divisions, and discreetly engage Americans, while hiding Russia’s hand,” the report alleged.

The document reiterated accusations of Russian meddling in US elections – which Moscow has consistently denied – claiming that Russia “probably believes [such] information operations efforts… are advantageous, regardless of whether they affect election outcomes, because reinforcing doubt in the integrity of the US electoral system achieves one of its core objectives.”

“Moscow’s malign influence activities will continue for the foreseeable future and will almost certainly increase in sophistication and volume,” the paper suggested.

The threat assessment was released amid efforts by Russia and the administration of US President Donald Trump to find a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict and normalize relations between Moscow and Washington.

On Monday, Russian and US experts held 12-hour talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, agreeing to revive the defunct Black Sea Grain Initiative, which envisioned the safe passage of Ukrainian agricultural products in exchange for the West lifting sanctions on Russian grain and fertilizer exports.

Last September, the outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden announced a new raft of curbs targeting several Russian media outlets, accusing them of attempting to “undermine democracy” and interfere in US elections. Then-Secretary of State Antony Blinken alleged that RT was “functioning as a de facto arm of [Russian] intelligence.”

Moscow has condemned the restrictions, saying that Washington had “declared war on freedom of speech.”

Intel Report: China Poses Biggest Military, Cyber Threat to U.S.

China poses the biggest military and cyber threat to the U.S. as well as wider global security while it makes “steady” progress towards having the ability to invade Taiwan, a U.S. intelligence report warned Tuesday.

Beijing has the ability to hit the United States with conventional weapons; compromise U.S. infrastructure through cyber attacks; and target its assets in space, the Annual Threat Assessment by the intelligence community said, adding the Communist dictatorship also seeks to displace the United States as the top AI power by 2030.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has issued a stark warning to Vladimir Putin, promising a 'devastating' response should Russia launch any attack on Poland or another member state.

'If anyone were to miscalculate and think they can get away with an attack on Poland or on any other ally, they will be met with the full force of this fierce alliance. Our reaction will be devastating,' the bloc's chief declared in Warsaw today.

A Third Of All DC District Judges Were Not Born In United States

Of all the judges in the U.S. all five foreign-born judges of the D.C. court managed to get their fingerprints on controversial Trump cases.

The United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the source of many of the cases interfering with President Donald Trump’s authority, has 15 judges, (Counting Chief Judge James Boasberg) and five of them were born outside the United States.

While country of origin doesn’t come up in most jobs, it is worth asking if judges with ties to foreign nations and cultures are the right ones to make decisions affecting the U.S. military or immigration.

The concept of foreign-born judges is a newer phenomenon in this district. In addition to the 15 main judges, the D.C. District has 10 older, senior judges who still occasionally hear cases in the district. This group, nominated as far back as Ronald Reagan the 1980s, were all born in the U.S.

But starting in 2014, former President Barack Obama appointed Judge Tanya Sue Chutkan, born in Kingston, Jamaica. She was in the U.S. by 1979, attending George Washington University. Before sitting on federal court, she had no experience as a judge. Chutkan is overseeing the legal challenge to DOGE’s work to slash excess government spending.

Obama also appointed Judge Amit P. Mehta to the D.C. court. Mehta also had no previous experience as a judge. Mehta was born in Patan, Gujarat, India. He and his parents came to the U.S. when he was a baby, age one. He was raised in Maryland. Mehta will oversee four January 6 civil cases that aim to blame Trump for injuries and squeeze money, court time, and political embarrassment out of him.

The other three foreign born judges were nominated by former President Joe Biden.

Judge Ana Cecilia Reyes was nominated in 2021, also with no prior experience as a judge. She was born in Montevideo, Uruguay and moved to Spain, and while still a child, moved to Louisville, Kentucky, where she grew up. She is the first openly LGBT Latina to be appointed to this court. Reyes presided over an objection to Trump’s executive order declaring “gender dysphoria” as “inconsistent” with the “high standards for troop readiness,” as The Federalist’s Shawn Fleetwood reported. Reyes blocked Trump’s order with a preliminary injunction.

The first Muslim and Arab American in the D.C. district court, Judge Amir Hatem Mahdy Ali was born and raised in Canada to Egyptian parents. According to his Questionnaire for Judicial Nominees, Ali was not required to register for the U.S. Selective Service. That is because he was not a citizen until 2019. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada with a software engineering degree in 2008 and then attended Harvard Law School in the U.S., graduating with a law degree in 2011. He worked as a volunteer on Biden’s 2020 transition team and for a phone bank in support of Biden’s presidential campaign. He worked for some nonprofits but never served as a judge until Biden appointed him in 2024. Amir has written extensively and negatively about Trump’s so-called “Travel ban,” a 2017 Executive Order which restricted travel to the U.S. from seven predominantly Muslim countries for 90 days.

It's a Big Club, and We're Not Invited

Well, the bloom is off the Trumpenstein rose. It was a giddy start to his second term, where it seemed like perhaps he was finally going to fulfill some of his many promises. With people like RFK, Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard, and Kash Patel in his cabinet, and the initial DOGE disclosures, it was hard not to feel at least some bit of optimism.

But the warm and fuzzy rush of hope has subsided. We still hear snatches here and there about some new DOGE disclosure, some outrageous waste of taxpayer money. And the other side, the hopelessly deranged “Woke” Left, predictably claims that all of the DOGE reports are fake, and have been “debunked.” By somebody. Anybody. There can’t possibly be waste, fraud and abuse in our sacred government agencies! Who could even imagine such a thing? But the disclosures seem to be on pause. When are they auditing the Pentagon? The CIA? The FBI? The IRS? The HHS? The Federal Reserve? And with the all the outrageous USAID revelations, what prosecutions are planned? Who will be held responsible? Will there, as always, be no one in power who is held accountable for great crimes against the people?

The epitome of what I call the Trumpenstein Project came during, and after, Trump’s recent speech before Congress, which for unknown reasons wasn’t called the State of the Union address. As usual, Trump said many good things, and many dumb things. He came out strongly for freedom of speech and against censorship, which is something few presidents have done. But then a few days later, he took to his Truth Social platform, and threatened to prosecute and deport college students who engage in “illegal” protests, whatever that is. Well, actually we know exactly what he meant. He meant no protesting against Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians. That is the Holocaust The Dare Not Speak its Name. Free speech except when it comes to Zionism, kind of an extension of the worldwide holocaust “denial” laws. Perhaps naysayers will be sent to FEMA camps, in lieu of Siberia.

We’ve just seen the release of some 80,000 (or 63,000- pick your source) files related to the JFK assassination, with the promise of more to come. I’ve searched through some of it, and there are a few very interesting things. Like the fifteen page memo from JFK’s close aide Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., warning of the CIA becoming a power unto itself, and also documenting Kennedy’s gave concerns about the Agency. Then there was the item that discloses James Jesus (yes, that was really his middle name) Angleton recruited twenty year old Marine Lee Harvey Oswald into the CIA. Angleton monitored the future patsy for years, and had a huge file on him sitting on his desk the week before the assassination. There are countless references to Israel in these files, including the strong Israeli connections Angleton had. And we learn that the CIA was asking that all references to Israel be redacted. So there’s that.

One of the revelations that he discussed was the fact that James Angleton, the CIA counterintelligence chief, had relied on Israelis as part of his intelligence-gathering operations, which included monitoring Oswald prior to the assassination.

As you may be aware, JFK in the summer of 1963 was deeply concerned with Israel acquiring nuclear weapons. He had sent a series of letters to Ben Gurion, Israel’s founding prime minister, demanding that Israel allow inspectors. Ben Gurion resigned just when he was pressed on the issue by JFK. [JFK actually wrote the US’s “commitment to and support of Israel could be seriously jeopardized.”]

A mouthful of chewing gum might also be a mouthful of microplastics, according to the results of a small pilot study. The research, presented at the spring meeting of the American Chemical Society, suggests that a single piece of chewing gum could introduce as many as 3,000 microplastic particles into the saliva, positioning them for potential ingestion.

“Our goal is not to alarm anybody,” said Sanjay Mohanty, a study author and an engineering professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, according to a press release. “But we know we are exposed to plastics in everyday life, and that’s what we wanted to examine.”

To fill this gap, Mohanty and Lisa Lowe, an engineering student also at the University of California, Los Angeles, set out to study the ingestion of microplastics from natural and synthetic gums. While natural gums are made from plant-based polymers, such as tree sap, synthetic gums are made of petroleum-based polymers and are essentially sticks of synthetic plastic.

“Our initial hypothesis was that the synthetic gums would have a lot more microplastics because the base is a type of plastic,” Lowe said, according to the release. “Surprisingly, both synthetic and natural gums had similar amounts of microplastics released when we chewed them.”

Ultimately, Mohanty and Lowe’s tests isolated an average of around 100 microplastic particles and a maximum of around 600 microplastic particles per gram of gum. That correlates to a maximum of around 3,000 microplastics in a larger piece of gum, all of which could be ingested through the saliva

Betar: the Far-Right Hate Group Helping Trump Deport Israel’s Critics

Afar-right, pro-Israel group with a history of support for terror and genocide is working closely with the Trump administration, preparing dossiers on thousands of pro-Palestine figures it wants deported from the United States. Betar U.S. is known to have had several meetings with senior government officials and has claimed credit for the arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil, a leader of the nationwide anti-genocide student demonstrations that began at Columbia University last year.

Ross Glick, the group’s executive director until last month, noted that he met with a diverse set of influential lawmakers, including Democratic senator John Fetterman and aides to the Republican senators Ted Cruz and James Lankford, and that all supported Betar U.S.’ campaign to rid the country of thousands of “terror supporters.”

Shortly after Glick’s trip to Washington, D.C., Trump signed an executive order titled “Additional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism” that promises “the removal of resident aliens who violate our laws,” to “quell pro-Hamas vandalism and intimidation,” and to “investigate and punish anti-Jewish racism in leftist, anti-American colleges and universities.”

Trump himself announced that Khalil’s arrest, which made worldwide headlines, was “the first of many to come.” “We know there are more students at Columbia and other Universities across the country who have engaged in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activity, and the Trump administration will not tolerate it,” he wrote on Truth Social. The 45th and 47th president has also stated that he plans to deport “Communists” and “Marxists” from the United States, even those who are citizens. As such, this marks an escalation in government-backed suppression of dissent not seen since the McCarthyist era of the 1940s and 1950s.

Carrying Out Terror, Supporting Genocide

Betar U.S. describes itself as a “loud, proud, aggressive and unapologetically Zionist” movement “dedicated to defending Israel’s legitimacy and strengthening the Jewish connection to the land of Israel.” This includes “taking action where others won’t” – a rather ominous phrase, considering the aggressive activities of the Jewish organizations it derides as “passive” and weak.

Last week, the group appeared to openly attempt to organize an assassination attempt on Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories. “Join us to give Francesca a [pager emoji] in London on Tuesday,” it posted online, an apparent reference to the September pager attack on Lebanon carried out by the Israeli military. The incident killed dozens of people and injured thousands more civilians, and was widely condemned – even by former CIA Director Leon Panetta – as an act of international terrorism.

Last month, Betar U.S. made a similar threat against Jewish-American writer Peter Beinart. After The New York Times published his article criticizing the State of Israel, it put out a statement reading, “We urge all Jews on the Upper West Side to give Peter Beinart a [three pager emojis]. He is a traitor, a kapo, and we must oppose him.” Thus, Betar not only smeared him as a Nazi collaborator (Kapo) and called for his assassination but also appeared to reveal Beinart’s home location.

Four Missing US Army Troops In Lithuania Found Dead: NATO

An unusual and alrming headline is emerging out Europe, as a major search was underway since yesterday for four US Army soldiers who had gone missing in Lithuania. The Associated Press in a breaking headline is now reporting they are dead:

The incident of the missing personnel and military search operation was first reported by Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT and subsequently picked up in European media. They first disappeared on Tuesday, along with a military vehicle, and belonged to the US Army's 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division.

"A possible scene has now been identified, and a search and rescue operation is underway," the Lithuanian military said in a statement hours prior to the announcement of their deaths.

The troops had been undergoing tactical training at the time the went missing. According to The Guardian:

The Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT reported that four US soldiers and a vehicle were reported missing on Tuesday afternoon during an exercise at the General Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in Pabradė, a town located less than 10km (6 miles) from the border with Belarus.

The Belarus angle and the proximity of the border could be alarming, given the US essentially considers it an 'enemy' state given its support to the Russian side of the Ukraine war.

"A search operation is currently under way, involving military personnel, rescue services, and firefighters. Lithuanian police also have launched an investigation," US state-funded RFERL writes. According to further statements and details:

Lithuanian officials have given few details, with Gintautas Ciunis, a military spokesman, confirming only that "these are foreign soldiers."

US Army Europe and Africa on March 26 confirmed that the soldiers had gone missing, saying in a statement that they were "conducting scheduled tactical training at the time of the incident."

“I would like to personally thank the Lithuanian Armed Forces and first responders who quickly came to our aid in our search operations,” said Lt. Gen. Charles Costanza, the V Corps commanding general.
