University of Texas police arrested Liam Thanh Tam Nguyen, who goes by "Alyssa," on two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk says the local chapter president and her secretary were both hit by Nguyen. The chapter president was hit "so hard that it completely shattered" her phone.
When police found Nguyen, he apparently tried to attack the officers and take one of their weapons during the arrest, so he's also been charged with felony assault on an officer, felony attempting to take a weapon from an officer, and resisting arrest.
