Musk sells X

The billionaire’s xAI artificial intelligence startup has acquired the social media platform

Tech billionaire Elon Musk has announced that his artificial intelligence startup, xAI, has acquired the social media platform X, which he also controls. The acquisition was confirmed in a Friday post on X, where Musk stated, “@xAI has acquired @X in an all-stock transaction.”

“Since its founding two years ago, xAI has rapidly become one of the leading AI labs in the world, building models and data centers at unprecedented speed and scale,” the tech mogul said. He described X as “the digital town square where more than 600M active users go to find the real-time source of ground truth.”

In late 2022, Musk acquired Twitter, now known as X. Following his takeover, he implemented cost-cutting measures, including far-reaching staff cuts and the renegotiations of contracts, while also relaxing some content restrictions and reinstating certain banned accounts.

Musk noted that X has been transformed into one of the most efficient companies globally, highlighting its potential for scalable growth. He has stated that “xAI and X’s futures are intertwined,” emphasizing the advantages of combining their resources: “Today, we officially take the step to combine the data, models, compute, distribution and talent.”

AI development is one of the priorities of the government of US President Donald Trump, where Musk leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). According to analysts, the billionaire has been focused on establishing himself as a leader in the AI industry.

Earlier this year, he attempted to lead a group of investors to purchase OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, for nearly $100 billion. The company’s CEO Sam Altman, however, rejected the offer. Musk had co-founded OpenAI in 2015 but departed before it gained significant traction, and subsequently launched xAI in 2023

The U.K. Is Lost: Starting Tuesday, White Men Will Face Harsher Criminal Penalties Than Other Groups

The United Kingdom is lost.

A century ago, it was a world superpower and a formidable empire.

Today, it bans samurai swords and enacts blatant discrimination in its court system. As of Tuesday, per guidelines from the Sentencing Council, white men in Britain will face harsher sentences for their crimes.

WATCH:

“White men are going to be treated a lot tougher by judges from Tuesday, compared to other groups.” Starmer

RIP UK. There is no coming back from this.

It sounds like Keir Starmer hardly a Right-winger opposes this sentencing guideline change. As the news reports said, he has the power to dissolve the Sentencing Council but can't overrule it.

Will he?

UK better take it's country back. They're about to lose it, if they haven't already.

— Dana Simmens 🇺🇲 (@simmens_dana) March 28, 2025

It's not looking good.

This was the goal of the EU. Even though England left the EU, the damage had already been done. There's no coming back. It will be fully run by Muslims by the end of this decade.

— JcT (@txJCTtx) March 28, 2025

Would anyone be surprised?

The sad thing is that it’s going to be all of their military aged white men that are going to get sent to Ukraine when they decide to sent troops. But don’t worry, I’m sure all of those military aged “migrants” will take good care of the country when that happens.

— PNW Independent (@PNWindependant) March 28, 2025

The preferred treatment doesn't extend to sending troops into war.

Two-tier justice system. That should work out well for them.

— 1A GEN XER (@1A_GenXer) March 28, 2025

This sort of thing always goes south. Quickly and badly.

The UK has just implemented a two-tier justice system in which white males are punished more harshly than women or minorities for the same crimes. https://t.co/PAnNqTjufO

And the equity advocates are silent.

The eventual outcome of identity politics. Coming to America unless we are vigilant. https://t.co/cZPwB9UZox

Yes. We must remain vigilant.

State sponsored discrimination.

It really is a shame.

Trump Shuts Down FBI Office that Shielded Hunter Biden

The infamous task force was launched in 2018 by then-FBI Director Chris Wray…

President Donald Trump disbanded the FBI office that prompted Big Tech companies to believe that the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell was tied to a Russian disinformation campaign.

The FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force briefed social media platforms about a so-called Russian hack-and-leak operation in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election. Weeks later, the New York Post published its explosive reporting on the Biden laptop.

Social media companies—freshly briefed by the task force—immediately censored the spread of the laptop story, supporting claims by the Biden campaign that the laptop was part of a Russian disinformation effort.

Worse yet, the FBI knew the laptop was real but refused to confirm its authenticity, effectively shielding the Biden campaign from scrutiny and helping secure a favorable election outcome.

The laptop confirmed that then-Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden had lied about his involvement in Hunter’s shady business dealings, which ultimately triggered years-long criminal and congressional investigations.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the task force’s shutdown in an internal memo issued on Feb. 5, stating that the move was intended to free up “resources to address more pressing priorities” and to end “risks of further weaponization and abuses of prosecutorial discretion.”

Bondi also declared that criminal charges under the Foreign Agents Registration Act would “be limited to instances of alleged conduct similar to more traditional espionage by foreign government actors.”

The infamous task force was launched in 2018 by then-FBI Director Chris Wray. He resigned before Trump could fire him after taking office on Jan. 20, 2025.

Wray claimed the task force operated across all 56 field offices and focused on election threats and partnerships with private companies.

“This year, we’ve met with top social media and technology companies several times,” Wray admitted in 2018. “We’ve given them classified briefings, and we’ve shared specific threat indicators and account information, so they can better monitor their own platforms.”

He added, “It’s going to take all of us working together to hold the field, because this threat is not going away. As I’ve said consistently, Russia attempted to interfere with the last election, and it continues to engage in malign influence operations to this day.”

https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2025/03/28/putin-suggests-china-north-korea-join-ukraine-ceasefire-talks/

Putin Suggests China and North Korea Join Ukraine Ceasefire Talks

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that China and North Korea should be included in ceasefire negotiations for the war in Ukraine, along with “India, Brazil, South Africa, all BRICS countries.”

BRICS is an economic collective founded by Brazil, Russia, India, and China in 2009. South Africa joined in 2010, contributing the “S” to the end of the group’s name. Membership was expanded again in 2023 to include Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Ethiopia. Thirteen more nations were added as lower-status “partner countries” in 2024.

Putin did not mention any of the 2023 members or 2024 partner countries by name, so it was unclear if he meant to include all of them in Ukraine peace negotiations. If so, the talks would become rather crowded.

The Ukrainians would be unlikely to welcome North Korea to the table, as the Communist dictatorship has been furnishing mercenary troops to Russia for its war effort.

On Thursday, the South Korean military said North Korea sent another 3,000 troops to Russia in January and February of this year, adding to at least 11,000 dispatched previously. North Korea has also sent missiles and artillery weapons to Russia. South Korea said at least 4,000 of the North Koreans have been killed in battle.

Putin might have gone out of his way to include North Korea in the negotiating process because North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is preparing for another visit to Russia later this year.

Kim visited Russia twice before, in 2019 and 2023. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrew Rudenko, who traveled to North Korea this month, confirmed on Thursday that another Kim visit is in the planning stages, although he did not specify a time frame.

Putin made his remarks during a visit to Murmansk, the world’s largest city north of the Arctic Circle. He also said from Murmansk that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his administration could be replaced by a “temporary international administration” that would sign peace accords and hold elections.

Putin proposed an interim government “under the auspices of the United Nations, plus the United States, “European countries,” and “partners and friends” of Russia could take control of Ukraine.

This international administration would “hold democratic elections and bring to power a capable government enjoying the trust of the people and then to start talks with them about a peace treaty.”

“This is just one of the options. I am not saying that there are no others,” he said.

Putin has long maintained Zelensky’s government is illegitimate, and not just because Zelensky refused to hold elections in May 2024 because the country has been under martial law since Russia invaded in 2022. On Thursday, Putin explicitly stated that Zelensky could not restore the legitimacy of government in Kyiv by holding elections, because “all others” who might succeed him would be “illegitimate” as well.

“It’s unclear for Russia who to sign anything with in Ukraine, because tomorrow there might be different leaders,” he said.

Soon after his invasion began Putin asserted the “regime” in Kyiv was “illegitimate” because it was founded by a “coup” in 2014. He was referring to the fall of Ukraine’s pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych.

Although Yanukovych, like Putin, denounced his ouster as a “coup,” he was in fact duly impeached by the Ukrainian parliament for corruption, and fled into exile in Russia. He is still wanted by both the Ukrainian government and Interpol for embezzling billions of dollars from Ukrainian state assets. Ukraine additionally convicted him, in absentia, for high treason in 2017 for aiding and abetting Russian aggression.

Yanukovych was succeeded not by Zelensky, but by Petro Poroshenko. Zelensky was elected in 2019 and, as noted above, was scheduled to stand for re-election in 2024. As for Putin, his own “election victories” are not exactly considered a model of honest democracy and legitimate government. Putin has a long habit of responding to criticism of his rigged elections by dismissing other elected leaders as “illegitimate.”

In January 2025, after President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, Putin repeated his criticism that Zelensky is an “illegitimate” leader who “has no right to sign anything.”

“Today, Putin once again confirmed that he is afraid of negotiations, afraid of strong leaders, and does everything possible to prolong the war,” Zelensky responded.

Zelensky unsurprisingly refused to accept Putin’s latest criticism of his legitimacy to hold office, or Putin’s idea to replace him with an international administration stuffed full of Russia’s cronies.

“If Putin is once again struggling to understand who he needs to engage with to seriously move toward ending this war, maybe he should just pop some pills to kickstart his brain activity – assuming such pills still have any effect on him,” Zelensky’s communications adviser Dmytro Lytvyn said on Thursday.

“By the way, in just the past 24 hours, there have already been at least two confirmed Russian strikes that damaged Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and that’s without even having the full reports for the day yet,” Lytvyn added.

Russia and Ukraine ostensibly agreed to stop attacking each others’ energy infrastructure this week, although each side has accused the other of violating the agreement.

The Trump White House also rejected Putin’s idea for an international governorship of Ukraine on Thursday. A White House national security spokesperson told Reuters that Ukraine’s government is, and must remain, “determined by its constitution and citizens.”

Meloni backs Vance’s attack on EU

The US is right to call out European elites for democratic backsliding, Italy’s prime minister has said

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has thrown her weight behind US Vice President J.D. Vance and his scathing criticism of Washington’s European allies last month.

In a keynote address at the annual Munich Security Conference, Vance charged that the UK and several EU nations are failing to uphold free speech and democratic principles.

“I have to say I agree,” Meloni told Financial Times. “I’ve been saying this for years… Europe has a bit lost itself.” She added that the believed the vice president’s ire was directed at a “ruling class,” that imposes its ideology on ordinary citizens.

The article in the British newspaper on Friday underscored Meloni’s ideological parallels with Trump and her lack of alignment with other European leaders on crucial matters.

French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer have marked out a position apart from US President Donald Trump, in particular on the Ukraine conflict, where the White House is pushing hard for a truce. The duo is spearheading efforts to bolster the Ukrainian military, and has proposed that a “reassurance force” be stationed in the country. Russia has warned against any NATO military presence in Ukraine, regardless of the form it takes.

Meloni said that in contrast to Macron and Starmer, she is not keen to position herself as a “protagonist” on the global stage. While she did not directly contest claims that Russia poses a threat warranting Europe-wide military expansion, she emphasized that Rome recognizes “threats can come from 360 degrees.” She was referring to illegal migration across the Mediterranean, which is a pressing issue in Italy.

”If you simply think that you can defend yourself, taking care of the eastern flank, and you don’t consider for example what happens in the southern flank, you will have a problem,” the prime minister explained.

Russian officials deny any aggressive intentions toward NATO, viewing the Ukraine conflict as a proxy war instigated by the bloc. Moscow has accused European leaders of undermining Trump’s mediation efforts and preferring the continuation of hostilities.

Iran ‘doesn’t care’ about Trump’s ‘threats’ – senior commander

Tehran is capable of retaliating against any enemy, according to IRGC Navy head Alireza Tangsiri

Iran will not bow to US pressure to resume talks over its nuclear program, a top naval commander has said, stressing that Tehran is ready to strike back in the event of an American attack.

In an interview with al-Mayadeen TV channel on Saturday, Alireza Tangsiri, commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, pushed back against US President Donald Trump’s recent ultimatum urging the country to enter new nuclear talks.

“I have no knowledge of Trump’s message, nor do I care to analyze it,” Tangsiri said. “I hear his threats, I observe his actions, and I prepare myself to counter them. We have the capability to strike all enemy bases, wherever they may be… No one can strike us and escape. Even if we have to chase them to the Gulf of Mexico, we would.”

Tangsiri also rejected any negotiations over Tehran’s missile arsenal or its backing of groups in the region. “Iran will never negotiate over its missiles or the capabilities of the Resistance Front,” he said. He also emphasized that the Islamic Republic seeks peaceful relations with its neighbors: “We always extend a hand of friendship to the countries in the region. As Muslims, we do not pose any threat to our neighboring countries.”

The remarks came in response to Trump’s comments on Friday, in which he confirmed sending a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, seeking to negotiate a nuclear deal.

“You’re gonna have to make a decision one way or the other,” Trump said. “We’re gonna either have to talk and talk it out, or very bad things are gonna happen to Iran. And I don’t want that to happen.” He added that if the US has “to go in militarily, it’s going to be a terrible thing.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that while the letter seemed threatening, it still contained “some opportunities” for Tehran.

The standoff follows years of tension over Tehran’s nuclear program. In 2015, Iran signed a deal with the US, the EU, Russia, and other world powers in which it agreed to limit its nuclear activities in exchange for sanctions relief. However, in 2018, Trump unilaterally withdrew America from the landmark agreement, calling it “a horrible one-sided deal” that had failed to achieve its goals.

Iran has not ruled out indirect talks on the matter but has refused to do so under duress. It also maintains that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
