Patrick "Tate" Adamiak, a serviceman in the Navy and a patriot, is serving 20 years in prison for possessing cut-up WWII parts kits and non-functional historical curios.

Why? The

told a criminal informant "find someone selling machine guns, or you're going to jail." Out of desperation, that informant pointed to Tate's cut-up parts.

On this alone, 40+ federal agents raided his home over dummies and scrap metal, seizing all of his assets as "proceeds of illegal activity."

VanDerStok may have been upheld, but the ruling was a permission, not a mandate.
