Pray for Better Days

Empty promises, shattered dreams,

Our Country is rapidly falling apart at the seams,

Presidents and Presidential hopefuls, with their sales teams write,

A list of more empty promises, for our votes that one night,

How many times, have we fallen prey to their plight,

That together "We Can", together if we Unite,

But deeper and deeper they plunge us into despair,

Because truly it seems, they really don't care,

Stop all the finger pointing, end all the lies,

As Americans Citizens, we demand better than you've supplied,

Ask us to pay for all your mistakes,

And keep making more laws to protect evil, greedy snakes,

I for one am sick of this shit,

And pray for a day, "The People" finally quit,

Stand up for your rights, tell them we will no longer buy what they sell,

And send all the greedy Government Liars, straight to hell.
