I'm a grant writer, and nothing stated here is incorrect. I've been involved in this process since states were awarded funding in 2021. The Program is called BEAD. Its been a nightmare and most ISPs have spent so much money preparing for next steps that they have actually started stepping away from the program altogether.

My career was helping businesses and local government meet their obligations in an environmental field. I finally began recommending to certain clients that they not pursue Federal funding or grants. Building a facility to meet the environmental needs was expensive. I have analyzed the cost of complying with an 50% Federal Grant and found that we could build the facility as cheap with no grant simply by not complying with the design/contracting/operational costs required by the grant. Many of them agreed. Even when it was tough because opponents scream that these leaders are not using available Federal money to reduce costs. The entire system is messed up. As a regulator, a person can create more steps to make sure their job is protected.

We are in year 25 of the 21st century, folks, and we still have 20th-century infrastructure. When I drive down I-85 and see that they're still working on the same construction project for the past ten years.. and then see on youtube in Japan that they've completed a highway construction project in a matter of three weeks.. I shake my head in shame. The corruption needs to be rectified and vanquished. ❤(sips tea).

This is the same thing any government construction project deals with. When you're cussing because that road work you encounter on the way to work has been going on for years, this is why. And the contractor that wins the contract is the one that bribes the best.

I’m getting more and more angry. Year after Biden in office and everything going up in price I had to discontinue my internet and Dish. I live on limited income. Windy days I cuss Biden. These mother truckers have stole so much of tax payer money. While they eating steak, we eating hotdogs😡😡😡😡😡

I’m on disability and permanently on oxygen. I’m not being rude but I wish I could have a hotdog. I’m eating hot water soup sometimes I get Ramon. The struggle is beyond overwhelming.
