The Ukrainian military has launched new attacks on Russia’s energy facilities, despite claiming it complies with a US-brokered truce on such strikes, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

Two incidents have been registered in Russia’s Kursk region, where Ukrainian drones targeted a substation and damaged a power line in the area, the military said. The attacks inflicted material damage and cut some 1,500 customers off the grid, it added.

“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are systematically launching strikes with drones and artillery systems on Russian energy infrastructure against the backdrop of statements by various representatives of the Kiev regime, starting with [Vladimir] Zelensky, about compliance with restrictions on strikes on Russian energy facilities,” the ministry said.

Later in the day, Luganskgaz, an energy company operating in Russia’s Lugansk Republic, reported a Ukrainian drone attack on one of its facilities. The attack hit a gas distribution station, sparked a fire and disrupted supply to more than 11,000 customers, the company said in a statement. Gas supply has already been partially restored after the attack, it added.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Tuesday signed a directive to scrap all remaining tariffs on imports from the US with immediate effect, in an apparent attempt to win a reprieve from the Trump administration’s levy of reciprocal duties expected to be announced Wednesday.

The order was coordinated with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Economy Minister Nir Barkat, but is subject to final approval by the Knesset Finance Committee.

In a letter sent on March 20 to Barkat and Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter, Smotrich asked for the removal of tariffs on products from the US, mainly in the area of agriculture, as reciprocal and sectoral tariffs on US trading partners are set to be imposed on April 2 by the US administration.

Israel and the US signed a free trade agreement in 1985. Under the agreement, the US and Israel implemented phased tariff reductions, eventually leading to the almost complete elimination of duties on manufactured goods in 1995. However, the agreement does allow the US and Israel to maintain some import and tariff restrictions, like quantitative restrictions and fees on agricultural products, mainly to safeguard local production and food security.

“Fully eliminating tariffs on imports from the US is an important step to safeguard the Israeli economy during a sensitive period and to strengthen the economic relationship with our most important ally – the US,” Smotrich said Tuesday. “We will continue to act decisively to protect Israeli exports and preserve the competitive advantages of Israel in the international arena.”

PM: IDF seizing ‘2nd Philadelphi’ route, cutting off Rafah from rest of Gaza to squeeze Hamas into freeing hostages

Overnight, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes on over 50 sites belonging to Hamas and other terror groups, ahead of a major ground push into the southern Gaza Strip, the military says.

During the day, dozens more strikes were carried out across Gaza, according to the IDF.

The goal of the latest offensive in southern Gaza is to surround Rafah and establish the so-called Morag Corridor, located between Rafah and Khan Younis.

The area between Rafah and Khan Younis is one of the few locations in Gaza where ground troops have not yet operated.

The IDF issued evacuation warnings for Palestinians in the area, ahead of the offensive.

Meanwhile, in the Strip’s north, the IDF says it operating to expand its buffer zone along the border.

The military stresses that the ultimate goal of the new ground push in southern Gaza’s Rafah is to pressure Hamas to release the hostages, as IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said this evening.

Former High-Level Google Employee Sues, Claims Discrimination Against Men

A male employee of Google who stated he served in such high-capacity jobs as “Global Business Leader” and “Head of Industry-Media Platforms,” has sued the company, alleging he and other male employees were discriminated against because they were men.

The suit from former employee Marco Meier accuses Marta Martinez, the Managing Director of Sales for Google, of making statements such as, “The women on my team have better leadership skills and are better prepared,” and “men are too aggressive and competitive.” The suit alleges that Meier and all the male leaders in Martinez’s department “endured a relentless campaign of hostile and disparate treatment, severe harassment, and discrimination based upon gender.”

“Indeed, over the course of a four-year period, Plaintiff witnessed the nefarious and systematic elimination of each male team leader reporting to Defendant Martinez, all of whom were exclusively replaced with female team leaders,” the suit states.

“Plaintiff and all male team leaders were continuously restricted from providing their insight during meetings, were issued lower performance reviews while female team leaders were provided with higher reviews without basis, were repeatedly denied large-scale influential projects while such projects were provided to lesser qualified female team leaders, and Plaintiffs and all male team leaders were continuously denied promotions … while female team leaders were rapidly promoted,” the suit claims.

Meier contended that he had submitted two detailed complaints of gender discrimination to Google, but no corrective action was taken or investigation conducted. Instead, he claims he was fired two months after his second complaint was closed after having worked at Google 12 and a half years.

“The accomplishments of Plaintiff were also without parallel which included closing the largest programmatic guaranteed deal in Respondent’s history with Apple,” the suit claims. “All female team leaders were promoted in less that two to three years. In stark contrast, Plaintiff was finally promoted from Level 6 to Level 7 after five and one-half years while Respondent Martinez refused to promote any other male team leaders.”

“Specifically, in or around November 2022, Defendant Google promoted fourteen employees in the Americas to Director positions. However, 13 of the promotions were provided to female employees.”

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and one of its offices have released a new tool that lets people see the levels of contaminants in various foods, such as fruits and vegetables.

The tool is an online searchable database that lists contaminant levels. Unveiled on March 20, it lets users filter by contaminant type as well as food category, with examples including milk, pistachios, and bananas.

“HHS is committed to radical transparency to give Americans authentic, informed consent about what they are eating,” Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a statement.

Does the First Amendment Come with an Israel Exception?

Earlier this month, Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner introduced a resolution threatening to cancel the O Cinema’s lease. The theater’s crime? Showing No Other Land, a documentary about the Israeli occupation of Palestinian villages in the West Bank.

About a week after the film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, Meiner condemned it as “a false one-sided propaganda attack on the Jewish people that is not consistent with the values of our City and residents.” Meiner also wrote:

“The film director’s comments at the Oscars prove the antisemitic nature of the film using Jew-hatred propaganda and lies such as ‘ethnic cleansing.’ Unfortunately, Jews for thousands of years have heard this antisemitic rhetoric; I am just surprised that O Cinema, utilizing Miami Beach taxpayer funding, would willingly disseminate such hateful propaganda.”

To its shame, the O Cinema initially agreed to remove the film from its programming. A day later, however, the theater reversed course, claiming that its earlier response was “made under duress” and citing its “fundamental belief that every voice deserves to be heard.” Meiner withdrew his resolution after five city commissioners stated their opposition and said he would instead focus on encouraging the cinema to show films that reflect differing perspectives on the occupation.

Many libertarians would argue that no cultural institution should receive taxpayer funding, especially when such funding will inevitably be used to promote viewpoints that some segments of the taxpaying public will disagree with. That argument would hold water if Meiner’s opposition were rooted in a belief that taxpayer-funded entities should not be permitted to exhibit any documentaries that contain politically sensitive content. Unfortunately, Meiner only appears to care about profligate government expenditures when they manage to inconvenience Israel.

Case in point, Meiner, who was first elected to the Miami Beach City Commission in 2019, did not express any reservations when the O Cinema showed Plan C, a pro-abortion documentary, and invited the film’s director for a post-screening discussion. Surely, Miami Beach’s taxpayer base includes a sizable number of pro-life voters who might object to such programming. Why is Meiner’s outrage reserved exclusively for a documentary that paints a foreign country in a negative light?

The pro-Israel movement’s efforts to censor No Other Land should not come as a surprise. The film has been facing pushback since it first premiered in early 2024. Last February, when co-directors Yuval Abraham and Basel Adra accepted the Documentary Award at the Berlin International Film Festival, Abraham, an Israeli Jew, remarked on the Israeli government’s apartheid-style treatment of Palestinians like Adra:

“I am under civilian law; Basel is under military law. We live 30 minutes from one another but I have voting rights. Basel does not have voting rights. I am free to move where I want in this land. Basel, like millions of Palestinians, is locked in the occupied West Bank.”

Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner responded to Abraham’s speech by tweeting, “Anti-Semitism has no place in Berlin, and that also applies to the art scene.” German Minister of Culture Claudia Roth claimed that Abraham and Adra’s speeches were “shockingly one-sided and characterised by deep hatred of Israel.” Ironically, both Wegner and Roth could be seen applauding the speech during the actual ceremony.

Global crackdown on Kidflix, a major child sexual exploitation platform with almost two million users

The Europol-supported operation led to 79 arrests and 1 400 identifications

A total of 1.8 million users worldwide logged on to the platform between April 2022 and March 2025. On 11 March 2025, the server, which contained around 72 000 videos at the time, was seized by German and Dutch authorities.

The investigation resulted in the identification of almost 1 400 suspects worldwide. So far, 79 of these individuals have been arrested for sharing and distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Some of those arrested not only uploaded and watched videos but also abused children. The investigation is ongoing.

Results of Operation Stream

The investigation started in 2022 and resulted in action weeks from 10 to 23 March 2025. So far, it has led to the following outcomes:

79 suspects arrested

Over 3,000 electronic devices seized

39 children protected

Over 91 000 CSAM videos

Kidflix was created in 2021 by a cybercriminal who made a huge profit from it, as it quickly became one of the most popular platforms among paedophiles. According to authorities, 91 000 unique videos were uploaded and shared on the platform while it was active, with a total running time of 6 288 hours. On average, around 3.5 new videos were uploaded to the platform every hour, many of which were previously unknown to law enforcement.

Unlike other known platforms of this kind, Kidflix not only enabled users to download CSAM but also to stream video files. Users made payments using cryptocurrencies, which were subsequently converted into tokens. By uploading CSAM, verifying video titles and descriptions and assigning categories to videos, offenders could earn tokens, which were then used to view content. Each video was uploaded in multiple versions – low, medium and high quality – allowing criminals to preview the content and pay a fee to unlock higher quality versions.

People were jubilant.

We’ve seen no meaningful action from the Republican-held Congress to codify any of the Trump agenda.

In another six months the campaigning for the 2026 midterms will be in high gear and we will all wonder what of any lasting value we have to show for all the fanfare. Remember, Trump’s executive orders, even the ones that get by the courts, can be overturned on DAY ONE of the next presidency.

The question is this: Will Trump himself get frustrated and seek to distract the nation from his lack of progress on his domestic agenda by taking the nation to war overseas?

But these government agents aren’t just disregarding it—they’re trampling it with the blessing of the man who swore to “preserve, protect and defend” that very same Constitution.

First Amendment rights to free speech, assembly, and protest. Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Fifth Amendment guarantees of due process. Sixth Amendment protections ensuring a right to legal counsel. Eighth Amendment protections against cruel and unusual punishments. Fourteenth Amendment rights to equal protection under the law.

All of these and more are being imperiously swept aside in the Trump Administration’s pursuit of an America “for Americans and Americans only.”

Former Planned Parenthood attorney wins Wisconsin Supreme Court race

Planned Parenthood's former attorney Susan Crawford won a 10-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court thanks to the help of her former employer and other left-wing groups.

A former attorney for abortion giant Planned Parenthood won an important Wisconsin Supreme Court race last night.

Judge Susan Crawford defeated Judge Brad Schimel in the widely watched race by about eight points, according to the Associated Press.

Crawford said the state supreme court was “threatened by an all-out effort to politicize the court to drive a right-wing agenda,” prior to the election. She is a former prosecutor and current circuit court judge in Dane County. Previously, she represented Planned Parenthood as an attorney.

Schimel is a Waukesha County judge and former attorney general for Wisconsin.

Prior to last night’s vote, the Wisconsin Supreme Court had three conservatives and four liberals. The winner will hold the seat for 10 years.

The election drew national attention, with Elon Musk spending millions of dollars to encourage voters to come out for Schimel. Meanwhile, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and former President Barack Obama encouraged voters to back Crawford, as reported by CNN.

More than $90 million had been spent on the election as of April 1, according to New York University’s Brennan Center for Justice.
