Bodybuilder and “Dogs of Berlin ”Actor Vittorio Pirbazari Dead at 44: 'Shocked and Stunned'
Bodybuilder and actor Vittorio Pirbazari, who appeared on the Netflix series "Dogs of Berlin," has died at age 44.
Pirbazari's friend Said Ibraham was among the first of the bodybuilder's friends to confirm the news on Tuesday, April 1 in an Instagram video. Tributes to Pirbazari from family and friends have been pouring in since.
Ibraham, a director who met Pirbazari when they were working together on a film, said he was thrown "completely off track" when he received the "sad news" on Monday, March 31. He went on to wish Pirbazari's family and friends "a lot of strength" as they mourn him.
Another friend said he was "shocked and stunned" by the news and remembered Pirbazari as "simply a good person" in an emotional tribute on social media. "What a helpful and kind-hearted person you were…anyone who REALLY knew you will attest to that," the friend said of Pirbazari.
An official cause of death has not yet been made known, though Ibraham suggested in his video that Pirbazari had suffered a heart attack while he was at the gym.
On March 30, Pirbazari, who was a member of the popular YouTube group Hardgainer Crew, shared a health update in what would be his final post on Instagram.
"I haven't been able to pull much exercise for the last 3 months, but I worked hard on my diet," he said in the caption of a selfie.
