North Dakota Mayor Resigns in Disgrace After ‘Accidental’ Lunch Break Masturbation Video Sent to City Attorney

Tom Ross, the now-former mayor of Minot, North Dakota, resigned this week after a stomach-turning scandal involving a sexually explicit video he “accidentally” sent to the city attorney during work hours.

Ross’s resignation comes following a brief sexual harassment investigation initiated after City Attorney Stefanie Stalheim received the explicit footage just minutes after discussing the tragic suicide of a police officer with the mayor.

His political party affiliation was not prominently mentioned in most sources, but some reports explicitly describe him as nonpartisan.

According to the report, Ross bizarrely claimed the video was meant for his girlfriend—whose name supposedly also begins with a “C”—but was mistakenly sent to “City Attorney” allegedly due to a contact mix-up.

Ross thought a quick “delete it and forget it” plea to Stalheim would sweep his filth under the rug. But Stalheim didn’t let this slide.

Two weeks later, she filed a harassment complaint, demanding a formal apology and urging Ross to resign.

Ross “directly caused Stalheim’s inability to work in an environment free from unreasonable sexual harassment and created an offensive work environment.”

According to the New York Post, Minot, a hardworking city of 47,000 just 50 miles from the Canadian border, now faces a 15-day window for residents to petition for a special election.

If no petition arises, the City Council will appoint a replacement from its ranks. One can only hope they’ll pick someone with a shred of integrity—qualities Ross clearly lacked.

In his resignation letter, Ross put on a show of self-pity, citing “mental and physical” tolls from balancing his day job with being mayor.

“Dear Council President Mark Jantzer, City Manager, & City Clerk,

As much as I love the City of Minot and where it is heading, for the last, just about 5 years, I have had my priorities misaligned. Holding a full time job, while trying to be a full time Mayor, and putting my family behind my job and elected position has taken a toll on me, mentally and physically.

While I’ve done my very best to be a good leader, it’s clear that time has come to an end.

What I have attempted to strive for and represent is, l’ve always wanted to put the City of Minot first. Today is no different. I am proud of the work l’ve got to help on with our Great City. But I have realized, I need to step down from the position of Mayor effective April 1st, 2025. The standard I set for myself was too high to sustain.

My focus now will be on my physical and mental health. I have tried too be too much to too many people. I failed. I have had a professional and respectful relationship with every City of Minot Staff member that I have come across. I am proud of that. Unfortunately, I have let them down as a leader, as I have with many in our community.

I thank the council for their teamwork, and wish them the best. My only request is to honor the privacy of my family and myself as we go through this next chapter.”

In a statement to Your News Leader, Tom Ross said:

I do take responsibility for this mistake. I tried to immediately correct it and was unable. I will always have the utmost respect for Stefanie Stalhiem, she is a true professional. The decision I made falls in line with all my work on behalf of the City of Minot. I put my heart and soul into this community. My stepping down is one more decision that is best for all of Minot.

ANOTHER SCARE: Trump Forced to Switch Helicopters After Problem with Wheel (VIDEO)

President Trump was forced to switch helicopters due to a ‘wheel issue.’

Trump departed DC en route to Florida on Thursday evening. The President will first visit his Doral golf club to attend a LIV dinner and then fly to Palm Beach to end the evening at Mar-a-Lago.

The President arrived at Miami International Airport Thursday afternoon, ready to board Marine One en route to his Doral golf club, when he was forced to switch helicopters.

Trump, wearing a red hat, was spotted walking across the tarmac to another helicopter.

This is not the first scare related to Trump’s air travel.

Three years ago, President Trump’s plane made an emergency landing after one of the aircraft’s four engines failed.

Trump had just left a Republican National Committee-hosted donor retreat in New Orleans in March 2022 when his private pilot was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing.

Last summer, just weeks after the assassination attempt against President Trump in Butler, his plane made an emergency landing in Billings, Montana following a mechanical issue.

Twitter Files journalist Matt Taibbi sues Democratic lawmaker for $10 million for defamation

Taibbi denies the allegations, and claims that he has never been accused of sexual harassment.

Twitter Files reporter Matt Taibbi on Thursday filed a $10 million lawsuit against Democratic California Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, after she appeared to accuse him of being a "serial sexual harasser" on social media.

Kamlager-Dove first made the assertion on the House floor on Tuesday, which is protected by the Speech and Debate clause of the Constitution, but later followed it up in a post on X where she stated that Taibbi was given time to defend himself and did not.

Taibbi responded to the allegations that he was a "serial sexual harasser" in a post on Racket News, where he announced the defamation lawsuit, stating he had never been accused of sexual harassment.

"There is not much a person like me can say to a member of Congress hiding behind the protections of the Speech and Debate clause of the Constitution," Taibbi wrote. "One can however respond to a member arrogant enough to repeat those claims on social media. I’ve now done so, in the form of a $10 million libel lawsuit filed today in a New Jersey federal court."

The reporter claimed the lawmaker relied on “unverified, decades-old satirical content that had been widely discredited by prior legal action and public corrections" to make the accusations.

“Defendant’s decision to republish the statements on X and her website, outside her legislative duties, further demonstrates an intent to harm Plaintiff’s reputation in his home state and beyond, rather than a good-faith engagement in legislative debate,” Taibbi's lawyers wrote in the lawsuit.

Kamlager-Dove has not publicly responded to the lawsuit so far.

Trump confirms dismissal of NSC officials over concerns about loyalty

"Always, we’re going to let go of people we don’t like, or people we don’t think can do the job, or people who may have loyalties to somebody else," Trump told reporters on Air Force One.

President Donald Trump on Thursday afternoon confirmed that he has dismissed multiple National Security Council employees, which comes after questions surfaced about their loyalty to his agenda.

The president did not confirm how many people were fired, but previous reports indicate that as many as six people were fired. The dismissals occurred after a meeting Trump had with loyalist and right-wing activist Laura Loomer on Wednesday.

"Always, we’re going to let go of people we don’t like, or people we don’t think can do the job, or people who may have loyalties to somebody else," Trump told reporters on Air Force One, Fox News reported.

It is not clear if any of the fired officials were part of the Signal chat controversy last month, in which a reporter was mistakenly invited to a national security chat by one of National Security Advisor Mike Waltz's staffers.

The names of the staffers who were reportedly fired have also not been made public.

Trump also stated that he continues to trust his national security team, stating they had done "very well" and had "big success with the Houthis."

19 Democratic state attorneys general sue over Trump's election integrity executive order

The lawsuit argues that the executive order is unconstitutional.

Democratic attorneys general in 19 states filed a lawsuit on Thursday over President Donald Trump's executive order on election integrity.

Last week, Trump issued an executive order on election integrity that included enforcing a citizenship requirement for voters in federal elections. Trump also ordered the attorney general to prosecute election crimes, take action against states that accept absentee ballots for federal elections after Election Day, and ensure that foreign nationals do not donate to federal elections or that organizations that receive federal funds do not engage in lobbying.

The Democratic lawsuit argues against some of the executive order's aspects, including enforcing documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and ensuring that states accept absentee ballots for federal elections after Election Day.

“The President has no power to do any of this,” the lawsuit reads. “The Elections EO is unconstitutional, antidemocratic, and un-American.”

The lawsuit argues that forcing states to reject absentee ballots received after Election Day violates states' constitutional authority over their elections.

“We are a democracy – not a monarchy – and this executive order is an authoritarian power grab,” New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) said.

The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Massachusetts by the Democratic attorneys general of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.

This lawsuit from the Democratic attorneys general comes after Elias Law Group filed a separate lawsuit on Monday on behalf of Democratic leaders in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, as well as the four national Democratic committees.

“The Executive Order seeks to impose radical changes on how Americans register to vote, cast a ballot, and participate in our democracy—all of which threaten to disenfranchise lawful voters and none of which is legal,” according to the Democratic leadership's lawsuit.
