Vance to Visit Rome Following Series of Attacks on Europe

US Vice President JD Vance is planning to visit Italy later this month, his third mission to Europe as Donald Trump’s deputy follows on a series of blistering attacks on the continent.
The US embassy in Rome told the Italian ministry of foreign affairs of Vance’s plans on Tuesday, according to correspondence seen by Bloomberg News. The plans are in flux and could change before being finalized, one official said.

THE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION - MARCH 2025
Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 228,000 in March, and the unemployment rate changed little at 4.2 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains occurred in health care, in social assistance, and in transportation and warehousing. Employment also increased in retail trade, partially reflecting the return of workers from a strike. Federal government employment declined.
This news release presents statistics from two monthly surveys. The household survey measures labor force status, including unemployment, by demographic characteristics. The establishment survey measures nonfarm employment, hours, and earnings by industry.
