You're talking about a guy who has not been in good health for many years and almost died from a heart attack two years ago, yet managed to defend free speech and this site over and over again, despite family needs and attacks from all quarters.
Jim was hauled before Congress twice. He was later banned from the Philippines due to the notoriety of 8chan. His bank accounts have been repeatedly closed and credit cards cancelled.
Jim Watkins never asked anons for a dime. Instead, he simply said he was thinking to close the site down because there was no more money left to run it. Others asked him if there wasn't some way to keep things going. It's only due to the generosity of volunteers that this site remains up.
It's perfectly ok to withdraw whatever support you have given to date, Jim will never complain. God bless all those who support 8kun.
