(Tapper wanted outrage, Rollins corrected him)

Ag Sec. Rollins: 50 Countries Already Coming to the Table on Tariffs

Pam Key6 Apr 2025

Agricultural Secretary Brooke Rollins said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the Trump administration’s tariffs are already making countries negotiate

Rollins said, “I think it’s really important to realize that last Wednesday was when the president announced this new american order, the new american economic plan. We’re now two days in, right? You’ve got two days of data.”

She added, “This whole concept is about rebuilding an American economy around American goods, around American industry. We do already live under a tariff regime in this country, but it’s the tariff regime of China, of Mexico, of Brazil, of Australia, of countries that Mexico won’t take our corn, Australia won’t take our beef. The country ofHonduras takes more pork than the entire European Union does, American pork, I should say. So, from our farming and ranching perspective, which is what I’m focused on, but happy to talk about anything that it has to, it is time for a change. That’s what this president evoked last Wednesday.”

She added, “So I think we’ll see in short order, a really positive outcome from this.We already have 50 countries that have come to the table over the last few days, over the last weeks that arewilling and desperate to talk to us.We are the economic engine of the world, and it’s finally time that someone, President Trump, stood up for America.”

Rollins remarks coincide with a Bloomberg report indicating thatIndia has no plans to retaliate against Trump’s tariffs. Meanwhile,Taiwan has proposed zero tariffsas a foundation for trade negotiations with the U.S. and committed to increasing its investment.

The Vigilant Fox 🦊

@VigilantFoxThx VF

NEW: Scott Jennings just blew a hole in the Democrats’ tariff outrage—exposing the economic hypocrisy they don’t want you to see.

While the Left panics over Trump’s tariffs, Jennings points out something they’ve conveniently forgotten:they’ve spent years demanding higher corporate taxes. And what are tariffs? A tax on corporate activity.

@ScottJenningsKY exposed their double standard in one fell swoop:

“I do find it interesting in this conversation, though, about Democrats finding their, you know, free market bonafides all of a sudden.”

“These are the same party that's been arguing that corporations need to pay higher taxes.”

“Effectively, a tariff is just a tax on corporate activity. That's what it is. And Democrats for years have argued for higher corporate tax rates. And now they're arguing against effectively a tax on corporate activity.”

Then Jennings pitched the genius play that Trump should make next:

“I think if I were Donald Trump, I might next week say, you know what, I'll meet you—I’ll meet you on this.”

“Let's slash the corporate tax rate in half and it will mitigate. It will mitigate your concerns about the tariffs.”

And that’s when he dropped the mic:

“I bet you you wouldn't find one Democrat who would agree to it, even though it would be an amazing idea.”

Nolte: Media Fail — Trump Job Approval Rises 4 Points to 53%

April 6, 2025

President Donald Trump’s job approval rating rose four points during Tariff Week, from 49 percent to 53 percent. The poll was taken by DailyMail.com/J.L. Partners of over 1,000 registered voters between March 31 and April 3.

Donald Trump’s four-point jump in job approval was not the only surprise.

• Since March 7, Trump’s job approval from young voters between 18 and 29 jumped 13 points.

• Among Independents and Democrats, Trump enjoyed a six-point increase.

• Most telling, support from black voters jumped 17 points in a single week.

• Finally, more people support than oppose Trump’s tariffs on foreign countries by a margin of 39 percent support and 37 percent oppose. Twenty-four percent were unsure.

• When asked if they support “significantly reducing” the number of illegal immigrants coming into the country, 69 percent said yes.

• When asked about “significantly reducing” the number of legal immigrants, a plurality of 46 percent said yes, while only 26 percent said no.

It should be noted that the poll was taken before the Stock Market dropped on Thursday and Friday. But it should also be notedthat this is after the Regime Media coordinated a regime-wide tantrum over DOGE, the ridiculous SignalGate nothingburger, and the hoax about a gang member deportedto El Salvador in error. It’s all so stupid, and Normal People see right through it.

During the week of the poll, Trump was also getting crucified nightlyby the Legacy Media for even considering these reciprocal tariffs. The doomsday-speak was everywhere. Still, it did not have any effect other than to boost Trump’s approval in their poll, which makes you wonder why.

My guess is thatNormal People understandthe corporate media are deliberately turning everything up to 11 to damage his approval ratings. The media no longer have any game. Their playbook is as old and tired as it is transparent. Secondly, I think Normal People admire Trump standing alone against the storm refusing to bend. People want a leader and that’s what a leader does. Finally, and I think this is everyone’s biggest mistake, Normal People do not care about the Stock Market, they do not care about elite opinions and concerns.

When Trump came into office, the question about whether America was headed in the right direction was upside-down 70 to 30 percent==. When more than two-thirds of the country believes the country is on the wrong track, the media whining about Trump violating norms is as tone-deaf as it gets.

Normal people get it now. They get that the media only lie to manipulate them. They get that the Democrat Party is more interested in queering their kids, ruining women’s sports, and importing terrorists than creating jobs. They get that “free trade” is not really free when the other side is jamming us with tariffs. They get that if tariffs did not ruin the economies of so many other countries, it’s bizarre to claim it will hurt ours. They get that the ramifications of allowing our manufacturers to move overseas have turned America into a Service Economy and that if a war starts we need to be able to build things and not count on China for steel and medicine.

People do not give Trump enough credit for being America’s educator-in-chief. If you listen closely to the president,he is always-always-always teaching, and doing so more successfully than any politician since Ronald Reagan. This is why he is always in the media.Every stupid question the media asks he turns into an opportunity to teach uswhy our economy needs a trade reboot, why Greenland matters, why illegal aliens have got to go, why we need voter ID, why the war in Ukraine must end, and on and on…

People also understand Trump is not pro-tariff and this is a negotiation with two valuable goals in mind: 1) to get foreign countries to lower their tariffs, and 2) to encourage American manufacturing to return to America.

Gov. Hochul Signs Bill Allowing Credit Cards to Track Ammo Purchases

AWR Hawkins6 Apr 2025

(==Always use cash=)

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) signed new controls into law last week, including one that allows credit cards to track ammunition purchases.

She described the ammunition control as one that “[refines] how credit card companies track purchases at gun dealerships.”

Hochul noted, “This gives law enforcement theopportunity to find out exactly who may be stockpiling ammunition. And this is an indicator that something untoward could be happening, so it’s an important data point for us to have.”

North Country Now pointed outthe credit card tracking will occur via the use of a new merchant code, and that code will allow the tracking of not only ammo purchases but firearms as well.

One of the other gun controls signed by Hochul outlinesnew “warnings that gun dealers must provide to customers about the risks of firearms” and a third control bans what are commonly known as “Glock switches.”

Hochul explained the ban was accomplishedby adding “pistol converters to the definition of rapid fire modification devices.”

Ironically, “Glock switches” are already banned at the federal level.

(This should end up in the Supreme Court again) I’m sure this is for Americans citizens not the criminals.

Germany: AfD Surges to Tie for First Place as Establishment Party ‘Crashes’ After Election Win

Kurt Zindulka6 Apr 2025

Six weeks after voters in Germany went to the polls for the federal elections, there appears to be growing dissatisfactionwith the outcome, as more Germans shift their support to the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

According to the latest survey from Insa on behalf of the Bild newspaper,=the AfD has soared to a record 24 per cent support. This puts the upstart party on par with the election-winning ‘Union’ of the Christian Democratic Union(CDU) and the Christian Social Union in Bavaria (CSU), which collectively also now stand at 24 per cent in support.

This represents a dramatic switch from the February elections, when the Union received 28.5 per cent of the vote, compared to 20.8 per cent for the AfD, meaning that the CDU/CSU has lost the support of one in six of its voters since the election.

“The Union is crashing dramatically. There has never been such a loss of approval between the federal election and the formation of a government,” Insa chief Hermann Binkert said.

After winning the election, CDU leader Friedrich Merz immediately entered into coalition talks with the Social Democrats (SPD) despite voters clearly rejecting the leftist party at the ballot box after years of failed governance under outgoing Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

The SPD currently stands at 16 per cent in the polls, followed by the Greens and The Left, both of whom stand at 11 per cent.

Merz had boxed himself into working with the left-wing party, given that he had previously vowed to uphold the “firewall” of establishment parties refusing to work with the AfD.

By immediately announcing his intention to form a government with the SPD, Merz lost much of his ability to negotiate during talkswith the left-wing party, which continue to this day, leaving the country without a government for a month and a half since the election.

Thus, Merz was forced to caveto demands from the SPD and the far-left Greens before he even came to power.

For example,he retracted his hardline immigration rhetoric. He broke his vow to be a fiscal conservative by agreeing to a trillion euro spending package, which was split between defence, infrastructure, and green agenda items.

“Many voters get the impression that the Union has not yet prevailed in the coalition talks. Many voters are disappointed by this,” said Binkert.

(The arrogance of these parties are ruining the “democracy”, they “supposedly” love so much.)

Trump Raises Logging Quota 25% to Harvest Timber, Prevent Fires

Joel B. Pollak6 Apr 2025

The Trump administration has raised logging quotas 25% in America’s national forests as part of a bid to increase timber production in the face of tariffs — and to prevent fires by removing fuel and creating firebreaks.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported:

In a move that could substantially reshape California’s natural landscape, the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued an emergency order Friday to accelerate timber harvesting across nearly 113 million acres of national forests.

The directive, announced byUSDA Secretary Brooke Rollins, mandates a 25%increase in timber quotas nationwide, with particular focus on areas of California, including the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Los Padres and Cleveland national forests.

The order is part of a broader initiative to address what the Trump administration has called a “forest health crisis.”

The new order serves two purposes. One is to control fires. President Donald Trump said in January that the Los Angeles wildfires were partly caused by California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s refusal to clear brush and dead trees.

The other purpose, though unstated, is likely to increase the supply of lumberand head off potential price increases due to tariffs on Canadian lumber, which could have a cascading effect on the American construction industry.

Environmental groups slammed the move, while the logging industry welcomed the Trump administration’s decision.

(Third reason: Newsom can’t get billions from the federal government every time they want to start a fire.)

Trump Says ‘Every Country’ Has Called Him Since Tariff Announcement, UK PM ‘Very Happy’ With Being on Minimum Rate

Oliver JJ Lane5 Apr 2025

President Donald Trump had “a very good dialogue” with Britain’s Prime Minister, who was “very happy” that his country wasn’t on the U.S. list of punishment tariffs.

The European Union reacted with horror at the United States levying a 20 per cent tariff on its exports, a rate twice that of former-member the United Kingdom, which is in the lowest bracket worldwide of ten per cent. The British government has, apart from cursory and general remarks against tariffs in principle, avoided such histrionics, and now President Trump has said he believes the country will have been very happy to get that outcome.

The remarks came on Air Force One on Thursday evening, and saw President Trump reflect of the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer: “…we have a very good dialogue going, and I think he was very happy about how we treated him on tariffs”.

Nevertheless, the United Kingdom government had hoped to avoid tariffs altogether by agreeing to a trade deal with Washington before the coming of Liberation Day.The fact the UK & U.S. haven’t had a trade deal signed and sealed for several years now is a huge indictment of the failure of the last Conservative government, at the very least, which was charged with delivering Brexit, but couldn’t get over its own opposition to leaving the European Union, nor its barely disguised distaste for term-one President Trump himself.

Incredibly, Conservative lawmakers this week have even had the nerve to criticise Labour for not getting a trade deal in months that their party failed to agree on in the years it was in power.

The present left-wing Labour government in the UK has little to nothing in common with Trump, but at least is determined to be pragmatic enough to work with him, and to get a trade deal to potentially side-step tariffs altogether. Having missed this first deadline, it is believed in London thatthis deal can now be achieved “within weeks” to get the UK below ten per cent tariffs, The Washington Post notes.

While the UK is not alone in taking this conciliatory approach to Trump to cement a place as a preferred partner, it is a small club. As reported,Australia, which are also working to achieve the same goal, has taken a similar tactic.

Illustrating the utility of tariffs as an engine of change,President Trump also said the tariff announcement has resulted in a stampede of countries beating a path to his doorto try and strike new deals to minimise their own exposure.

He said: “Every country has called us, that’s the beauty of what we do, we’ve put ourselves in the driving seat.If we’d asked most of these countries to do us a favour, they’d have said no, now they’ll do almost anything for us… the tariffs give us great power to negotiate”.

The President said he’d be willing to cut a deal in return for something “phenomenal.” Even for a close U.S. ally like the United Kingdom, there is speculation that the two countries’ growing divergence on the meaning of freedom, and particularly the observance of freedom of thought and expression in practice, could be a stumbling block to getting an even better deal on trade.

President Trump rejected the notion that tariffs would be ultimately damaging, using the metaphor of the economy as a sick patient who has to undergo serious surgery, which will be shocking but will put them on the road to recovery. He said: ” We inherited a terrible economy, as you know, with a lot of problems, including the loss of manufacturing and plants closed up and down the country. We’ve lost 90,000 plants since NAFTA… and about six million jobs, it’s a sick patient that went through an operation on liberation day, it’s going to be a booming country”.

Any business that wanted to dodge tariffs had to do nothing more complicated than open a factory in the United States, he said.

Oz: ‘We’re Going to Get’ Money CA Spends on Health Care for Illegals Back

Ian Hanchett5 Apr 2025

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Mehmet Oz talked about his ideas for cost-saving measures within the healthcare system and stated that the federal government is going to get back the large sums of money that California has gotten from the federal government and used to provide free health insurance for illegal immigrants in the state.

In response to a question from host Sean Hannity on how to cut costs, Oz said that empowering beneficiaries with more information under an executive order from President Donald Trump will help and that giving medical professionals better information would also lower costs.

He added,“The state of California has taken tens of millions of dollars from the federal government providing free health insurance for illegal immigrants in California. We’re going to get that money back.

There areprograms like this that we’re witnessing day in and day out where Medicaid patients are enrolled in multiple states and the federal government doesn’t know about it, so we pay every state for the same person==, and we’re not getting our money’s worth. But those people aren’t getting their health either.”
