Around the time that story broke, I remember "news" stories about an alleged Roman army practice of torturing and humiliating strong enemy soldiers by shattering their teeth with a special device (had a name) and forcibly orally raping them (had a name, not fellatio). I just did a quick search and cannot readily find the name of the practice or the teeth shattering tool. It used to pop up on the first page.
