Went to a pediatrician appt for 2.5 year old today. 3rd pediatrician because we can't afford the one we like, cause although being board certified, they did things a bit differently and I'm on a shit bronze plan.

Seemed like it was hard for her to understand that we wanted a doctor to be an advocate rather than push her "science" on us. I explained that I was versed on the matter as well as a number of other things, but I didn't really want to expose too much. My wife was sitting there worried about CPS, but luckily we live in a state with decent laws in that regard. She offered to give me some american pediatric association literature to review. I said, sure, I take in all perspectives and make my own decision in the best interest of my child. she fucking printed me out some layman's FAQs from their website written at an immigrant reading level. fucking retard and insulting. I was pre-med and thankfully didn't go that route and am on my 3rd graduate degree as we speak. Doctors truly have been conditioned to think they are gods. I come from a family of them and while they have some specialist knowledge, sure, they certainly don't understand the mechanics of what's happening above them and couldn't tell their ass from their elbow when it comes to anything outside their specialty.
Truly, fuck these people. I'd prefer a biased AI over these types of doctors. At least, I wouldn't have to look at their condescending facial expressions when you say you are going to automatically trust everything they say.
