There MAY be only one legitimate record at the county office. The issue is that banking and mortgage outfits move the note so fast, that they are enjoying the "possession" at multiple locations simultaneousโ€ฆ and "ooops, we forgot to remove it from our books when we sold it to our buddies up the street".
