The fundamental spirit of the American government 'experiment', is that vastly more harm is caused to the public by a Government that does not stay within the prescribed bounds per the Dec/Con/BoRs. When Government oversteps its proper and necessary limits, an endless spiral of ills beset us all, until inevitable collapse. Then all the Government Employees, including the precious LEOs, will also be out of work anyway and down in the dirt with everyone else.
So, it is in both the best interest of the Government AND ESPECIALLY the public (down to the individual) when Government does NOT break the Law. Innocent until proven guilty, is one of those most important pillars. However, since "9/11" all of Government has set upon a NEW approach all of its own invention… Government thinks it best to now treat all people as Guilty until proven Innocent. Local LEOs across the entire country have turbo charged this approach, and here we are today. For those who really really love the cozy safety afforded by this new aspect of American life, i politely beg you to reconsider that peril of 'rationalizing' some kind of acceptable percentage of deprivation in the name of paramount Law and Order 'at any cost' left in the hands of demonstrably low IQ Patrolmen.
No civilization can long survive when unbound "Government" eats its own foundation.
