Russia and Ukraine to hold direct talks – CNN Turk

Delegations from the two countries will meet in Türkiye to discuss security in the Black Sea, the outlet has claimed

Russian and Ukrainian representatives will hold direct talks in Ankara next week, CNN Turk has reported, citing sources in the Turkish Defense Ministry.

Delegations from the two countries will meet to discuss security in the Black Sea, the outlet said in an article on Sunday.

The meetings will take place onTuesday and Wednesday at the Turkish Naval Forces headquarters in Ankara, according to sources.

During talks between Russian and US experts in Riyadh in late March, it was agreed to move towards reviving the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which according to the Kremlin, should include the removal of Western restrictions against the Russian Agricultural Bank and other financial institutions involved in the international sale of food and fertilizers.A maritime ceasefire is seen by Moscow and Washington as a step towards the diplomatic settlement of the Ukraine conflict.

The Black Sea Grain Initiative, originally brokered in July 2022 by the UN and Türkiye, envisioned the safe passage of Ukrainian agricultural products in exchange for the US and EU lifting its restrictions on Russian grain and fertilizer exports. Moscow withdrew from the deal a year later, citing the West’s failure to uphold its obligations.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky claimed earlier that Kiev rejected a maritime truce due to it representing “a weakening of positions and a weakening of sanctions” against Russia.

US President Donald Trump confirmed last month that his administration is considering lifting some curbs on Moscow in order to revive the Black Sea Grain Initiative, saying that “there are about five or six conditions. We are looking at all of them.”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen ruled out relaxing EU restrictions on Moscow, insisting they should “remain in effect until a just and lasting peace is established in Ukraine.”

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the maritime truce could take effect only when certain conditions set out by Russia are met.“Of course, this time justice must prevail, and we will continue our work with the Americans [on the Black Sea Initiative],”Peskov stressed.

Kremlin teases potential Putin-Trump meeting

“We need to prepare for it,” spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said, following US envoy Steve Witkoff’s talks with the Russian president on Friday

A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump “will take place,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed, while stressing it would be “at the appropriate time.”

Peskov made the remarks to reporter Pavel Zarubin on Sunday. His statement follows Friday’s meeting between Putin and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg. The Kremlin said the talks covered “aspects of the settlement of the Ukraine conflict.”

“The presidents expressed their political will that [the meeting] should take place, including publicly. But it will take place at the appropriate time, we need to prepare for it,” he added, without specifying a timeline.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Witkoff’s trip this week was part of Trump’s broader effort to negotiate a ceasefire.“This is another step in the negotiating process,” she explained. Witkoff’s visit came soon after Russian presidential aide Kirill Dmitriev met with senior Trump officials in Washington.

In March, Putin and Trump held a phone call that reportedly lasted for over two hours. In that conversation, Trump proposed a 30-day mutual ceasefire, including a halt to strikes on energy infrastructure. Putin supported the idea and gave the corresponding orders to the Russian military.

During the call, the two reaffirmed their commitment to achieving a “lasting peace”rather than a temporary solution to the Ukraine conflict. Moscow stressed the need to “eliminate the root causes of the crisis,” as well as meet “Russia’s legitimate interests in the area of security” and “the complete cessation of foreign military aid and the provision of intelligence information to Kiev,” as fundamental elements necessary for an agreement, the Kremlin press service said.

(President Putin had invited President Trump to Russia on their 1st phone call, for the May 9th annual WWII celebration of the Russian and Allies victory over Germany and the Nazis. In the many years past many of the Allies leaders came to celebrate with Russia. They stopped coming when they started the war against Russia, by provoking the Ukrainian operation. My sense is President Trump if possible, will attend this annual celebration.)

Ukraine again ‘unilaterally’ attacks Russian energy infrastructure – MOD

Kiev’s forces are repeatedly violating the US-brokered truce banning such strikes, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry

TheUkrainian military has targeted two energy facilities in Russia’s Belgorod Region over the past 24 hours, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted a proposal by his US counterpart Donald Trump to adhere to a 30-day pause on targeting energy facilities operated by Kiev and Moscow during their phone call on March 18.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky also said that his country would abide by the truce. However, the Russian military has since accused Kiev’s forces of breaching the partial ceasefire on an almost daily basis.

“In violation of the Russia-US agreement,Kiev continues its unilateral attacks on Russian energy infrastructure,”the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

On Saturday evening, more than 600 households were left without electricityin Belgorod Region’s Shebekinsky District of as a result of the “deliberate shelling” of a local energy facilityby Ukrainian forces, the statement read.

On Sunday morning, another bombardment of energy infrastructureby Kiev’s troops led to power shortages in the village of Stepnoye in Krasnoyaruzhsky District, it added.

The Kremlin said that Russia is abiding by the truce and has refrained from targeting Ukrainian energy facilities in order to build goodwill with Washington, but it also warned that Moscow reserves the right to pull out of the 30-day agreement early if it is not honored by Kiev.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has previously suggested thatUkraine is deliberately violating the partial ceasefire in an attempt to undermine peace initiatives and the dialogue between Russia and the US.

Russian photographer banned from collecting prize in EU

Moscow has condemned World Press Photo’s decision to “cancel” the TASS journalist as disgraceful discrimination

13 Apr, 2025 07:42

The World Press Photo Foundation has blocked the winner of its 2025 contest, Mikhail Tereshchenko, from attending next month’s awards ceremony in Amsterdam. The reversal was announced after Georgian anti-government activists complainedthat a Russian journalist had been praised for covering protests in Tbilisi.== (The EU has been conducting another color revolution in Georgia, so they are behind it.)

Tereshchenko, who has been a TASS staff photographer since 2017 andis known for his expressive imagery, was recognized for a photo series documenting mass anti-government protests in Georgia last year.

The jury, judging his work anonymously, praised the series for highlighting the “use of fireworksas a new urban weapon” and for capturing the dynamics of “democratic movements.”However, when the author’s identity was revealed, activists claimed they were “worried and offended” by the recognition of a Russian state media photojournalist.

World Press Photoadmitted that “the authenticity of the photographs themselves, and the events they document are not in question=” – but caved to activist pressure and announced on Friday that “Mikhail Tereshchenko is no longer invited to the winners programme and the award ceremony in Amsterdam.”

“Given the increased tensions on the European continent, at this stage we are no longer able to facilitate a guest from a state-controlled Russian organisation.”

Moscow denounced the move as politically motivated discrimination, with Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova calling it “a self-inflicted wound” on World Press Photo’s reputation.

“This is such a disgraceful [excuse] that they would be better off staying silent. The question arises: will only photographs with neutral subjects – nature, flowers, butterflies – be accepted for the competition?” she wrote on Telegram on Saturday.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saidthe move “defies common sense and goes against the spirit of journalistic solidarity.” Meanwhile, the head of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, labeled the decision “cancel culture,” accusing Europe of discriminating against Russians “on the basis of their ethnicity.”

Established in 1955, the World Press Photo Foundation is widely regarded asthe world’s most prestigious photojournalism competition, with the statedmission to “connect the world to the stories that matter.” Zakharova noted that TASS photographers have received more than 25 World Press Photo awards between 1956 and 1992.

East European state invites up to 150,000 Pakistanis

Proper conditions will be created for the migrant laborers from the South Asian country, the Belarusian president has said

Belarus will soon accept up to 150,000 migrant workers from Pakistan, the Eastern European country’s president, Alexander Lukashenko, has said.

Lukashenko made the announcement after a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Minsk on Friday.

The Belarusian leader said that Sharif and himhad agreed that “in the near future [Pakistani] specialists in various fields will be sent [to Belarus]; the fields of our choosing. The leadership of Pakistan will help us select such people.”

“Let it be 100,000 or maybe 120,000 or 150,000 of these specialists. We are ready to accept them in Belarus and create the necessary conditions for them to work here,” he said.

The Pakistani prime minister assured that the workers that his countrywill be sending to Belarus will be “highly qualified and capable of providing real help to your country.”

“They are hardworking, they have skills, they have families to support. They can create the very bridge that we are building between Minsk and Islamabad,”he said.

Sharif thanked Lukashenko, whom he described as his “brother,” for inviting the migrant workers. “Believe me, this offer made my day,” he said.

Just over 60,000 migrant workers were employed in Belarus, which has a population of about 9.1 million, in 2024, the country’s deputy trade minister, Tatyana Astreiko, said in November. Around 40% of them were Russians, she added.

”We understand that domestic labor resources are limited.Foreign migrants are being brought in to provide employers with personnel. This is a given and an inevitability,” Astreiko stressed.

There has been a spike in the flow of migrants across the border between Belarus and Poland since 2021. Last year, around 2,500 crossings into the EU country were recorded every month, despite Warsaw constructing a border fence and pushing back large groups of people.

The Polish Foreign Ministry has claimed that Belarus is deliberately inviting asylum seekers in and instructing them to enter Poland, at the behest of the Russian security services. Moscow and Minsk have both denied any role in the migrant influx.

Most of the refugees are from the Middle East and North Africa and enter Polandin order to travel onward to Western Europe, where benefits for asylum seekers are more generous.

Putin’s latest talks with Trump’s envoy: What we know so far

The US president’s confidant spent over four hours behind closed doors with the Russian leader in St. Petersburg

White Housespecial envoy Steve Witkoff has departed Russia in the same secrecy that surrounded his arrival on Friday, after spending more than four hours talking with President Vladimir Putin behind closed doors in St. Petersburg.

The marathon talks – the third known meeting between the two – were held in Putin's hometown, with both the Kremlin and the White House offering few details about the substance of the discussions. Here’s what we know so far.

1.Surprise visit to St. Petersburg

Witkoff’s latest trip to Russia came without prior public announcement. Air traffic monitors tracked a plane linked to the US envoy flying from Florida toSt. Petersburg overnight. He was later spotted alongside Russian presidential aide Kirill Dmitriev, walking out of a hotel in the city center before the talks. Previous meetings between Witkoff and Putin had taken place in Moscow.

2.Kremlin sheds some light

The Kremlin confirmed that the four-hourdiscussion focused on “aspects of the settlement of the Ukraine conflict,” but declined to provide further details. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously saidtopics could also include normalization of US-Russia relations, a possible in-person meeting between Trump and Putin, and concerns Moscow wanted to convey directly to a trusted Trump representative.

3.White House explains visit

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt saidWitkoff’s trip was part of Trump’s broader effort to negotiate a ceasefireand an eventual peace deal in Ukraine. “This is another step in the negotiating process,” Leavitt said, while declining to provide specifics.

4.Putin envoy’s visit to Washington

Witkoff’s visit came just days after Russian presidential aide Kirill Dmitriev traveled to Washington for talks with senior Trump officials. Dmitriev, who advises Putin on international economic cooperation, described Friday’s discussions with Witkoff as “productive” in a post on X, welcoming the US envoy to St. Petersburg.

5.Current state of Russia-US talks on Ukraine

During a White House meeting with President Donald Trump last week, Witkoff argued that recognizing Russian ownership of Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Kherson was the swiftest path to halting the conflict, according to media reports. General Keith Kellogg, Trump’s Ukraine envoy, reportedly pushed back, stressing that Ukraine would not accept full territorial concessions. Witkoff defended his approach in a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, citing referendums held in the regions. The White House meeting reportedly concluded without a decision from Trump, who has repeatedly said he aims to broker a ceasefire as soon as possible.

6.What’s next?

Peskov said another phone call between Putin and Trump is “theoretically possible” following Witkoff’s visit, depending on the outcome of negotiations. The two leaders last spoke on March 18, and have both publicly expressed readiness to eventually meet in person when the time is right.

Kremlin reveals content of Putin’s talks with Trump envoy

The Russian president has held a marathon meeting with Steve Witkoff

The discussions between Russian President Vladimir Putin and White House special envoy Steve Witkoff on Fridayinvolved “aspects of the settlement of the Ukraine conflict,” the Kremlin has announced, declining to provide further details.

Witkoff visited Russia on Friday and met with Putin in St. Petersburg. The meeting lasted over four hours and the content of the talks has been largely kept under wraps by Moscow and Washington.

However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the issue during a press briefing earlier in the day when asked by a reporter about the purpose of Witkoff’s visit to Russia.

According to Leavitt, the visit was aimed at facilitating direct US communications with the Kremlin as part of a broader effort to negotiate a ceasefireand eventual peace agreement in the Ukraine conflict.

The Trump administration faced growing internal divisions this weekafter Witkoff allegedly proposed a ceasefire plan that would recognize Russian control over four eastern regions claimed by both Moscowand Kiev, Reuters reported on Friday citing anonymous sources.

During a White House meeting with President Donald Trump last week, Witkoff argued that recognizing Russian ownership of Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Khersonwas the swiftest path to halting the war, the outlet’s sources said. General KeithKellogg, Trump’s Ukraine envoy, reportedly pushed back, stressing Ukraine would not accept full territorial concessions.

The meeting reportedly concluded without a decision fromTrump, who has repeatedly said he wants to broker a ceasefire by May. Witkoff subsequently traveled to Russia on Friday for talks with Putin.

The episode has deepened rifts within the Trump administration, as officials debate how to resolve the Ukraine conflict, Reuters wrote. Witkoff’s approach, previously outlined in a March interview with Tucker Carlson, has reportedly alarmed both Republican lawmakers and US allies.

“They’re Russian-speaking,” Witkoff told Carlson of the eastern territories.“There have been referendums where the overwhelming majority of the people have indicated that they want to be under Russian rule.”

Several Republicans reportedly contacted National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to raise concerns about Witkoff’s stance, criticizing him for echoing Russian rhetoric.

A recent dinner with Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev, who until recently was under US sanctions, further stirred controversy.Originally planned at Witkoff’s home, it was moved to the White House after security concerns were raised.

Despite criticism, Witkoff retains strong backing from Trump and some administration officials. Waltz praised his efforts, citing his business background and recent diplomatic activity, including securing the release of US citizen Marc Fogel from Russia.

Iran and US unveil results of nuclear talks

Both sides described the negotiations in Oman as “constructive” and have reportedly agreed to meet again for “real talks”

Iran and the United States held their first diplomatic engagement in yearson Saturday in the Omani capital of Muscat, with discussions focused on Tehran’s nuclear program and the potential easing of US sanctions.

The two-and-a-half-hour talks were led by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and White House Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.

Although the negotiations were conducted indirectly through Omani mediation, the heads of the two delegations – Araghchi and Witkoff – briefly spoke face-to-face in the presence of Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi after the formal talks concluded.

Addressing reporters in Muscat, Araghchi describedthe first round of negotiations as “constructive” and held in a “calm and very respectful atmosphere.”

“No inappropriate language was used, and the two sides demonstrated their commitment to advancing the talks until the achievement of a mutually favorable agreement from an equal position,” the Iranian minister said.

According to Araghchi, both sides aim to outline a general framework for a future agreement in the next round of talks. He indicated that thesecond meeting is scheduled for April 19, although it may not take place in Muscat.

“In the next round of the talks, we will try to enter the negotiations agenda, which will of course have a timetable alongside it,” he said, expressing hope that the two sides could finalize a plan for starting “real talks” soon.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday night, President Donald Trump said the talks with Tehran “are going okay.”

Nothing matters until you get it done, so I don’t like talking about it. But it’s going okay. The Iran situation is going pretty good.

Meanwhile, the White House emphasized that – despite Tehran’s insistence on indirect talks –Witkoff met Araghchi face-to-face, calling the “direct communication a step forward in achieving a mutually beneficial outcome.”

Witkoff, a close confidant of President Trump and Washington’s lead negotiator with Moscow, has also played a prominent role in regional diplomacy. Even before the president returned to office, Witkoff was credited with convincing Israel to agree to a Gaza truce.

The next round of negotiations with Iran is expected to take place on April 19.While both sides have expressed cautious optimism, analysts noted that significant challenges remain.

Iranian officials have publicly opposed major concessions, while President Trump has reportedly given negotiators a two-month deadline, warning of possible military action if talks fail.

Rubio and Musk back Witkoff’s peace efforts

The US Secretary of State and Tesla CEO agreed that “Steve Witkoff is busting his ass for President Trump”

The US leader’s confidant spent over four hours behind closed doors discussing aspects of a potential settlement of the Ukraine conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, before heading to Oman for high-level talks on Iran’s nuclear program on Saturday.

White House special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff reportedly managed to convince Israel to agree to a Gaza truce in just one meeting – even before US President Donald Trump took office –and has since become one of the key American negotiators on Ukraine.

When he traveled to Russia for the third time in two months – a video of Witkoff smiling and shaking hands with Putin emerged on Friday –critics rushed to accuse him of everything from acting too cozy and perpetuating “Russian propaganda,” to being too “inexperienced” to conduct negotiations and effectively “taking over” the role of US Secretary of State.

“People love attacking Steve Witkoff, but he has done more to advance peace negotiations & hostage releases than any of his career bureaucrat critics have done during their entire careers in the Swamp,” conservative activist Laura Loomer wrote on X, adding that “Steve Witkoff is busting his ass for President Trump.”

“Witkoff is great,” agreed billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, another of Trump’s closest allies, who leads Washington’s government waste-cutting task force DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency).

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also “100%”agreed with Loomer’s post.

Witkoff’s first visit to Russia in February resulted in a high-profile prisoner exchange and paved the way for a phone call between the countries’ leaders, kickstarting the resumption of diplomatic relations. Just ahead of Witkoff’s third visit on Friday, Russia and the US conducted another prisoner swap in Abu Dhabi.

The discussions between President Putin and Steve Witkoff on Friday involved “aspects of the settlement of the Ukraine conflict,” the Kremlin has announced, declining to provide further details.

White House replaces Obama portrait with defiant Trump

The painting of the current US president with blood on his face and the American flag now hangs in the Grand Foyer

The White House has put a dramatic painting of US President Donald Trump on display in a prominent spot in the Grand Foyer of the East Wing, replacing the official portrait of former President Barack Obama.

The new artwork depicts Trump with blood on his face and the American flag in the background, capturing the moment he raised a clenched fist after surviving a July 2024 assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The dramatic scene, showing Secret Service agents rushing to shield Trump as he gestures defiantly, became a defining image of his re-election campaign, echoing his call to “fight, fight, fight.”

“Some new artwork at the White House 👀,” the administration posted on Friday via its official X account, sharing a short video of the painting.

The portrait, which is based on a picture taken by New York Times photographer Doug Mills, was created by artist Marc Lipp and donated by school safety advocate Andrew Pollack, whose daughter Meadow was killed in the 2018 Parkland school shooting.

Some critics noted that the spot in the Grand Foyer is traditionally reserved for portraits of recent presidents. However, they acknowledged that Trump, being a former president himself, is not breaking with any official protocol.

Although Obama’s portrait was moved to make way for the new painting, it remains on public display in another prominent location overlooking a Steinway grand piano once played by Franklin D. Roosevelt, White House spokesman Harrison Fields clarified.

“Obama remains in the Entrance Hall of the White House State Floor,” Fields wrote on X. That location was previously occupied by George W. Bush’s portrait, which has now reportedly been moved to the staircase area.

UK deeply involved in Ukraine conflict – The Times

Kiev allegedly refers to Britain’s military chiefs as the “brains” of the “anti-Putin” coalition, according to the exposé

Britain’s military leadership has played a far more extensive and covert role in the Ukraine conflictthan previously known, not only designing battle plans and supplying intelligence, but alsoauthorizing secret troop deploymentsinside the country toprovide weapons training and technical support, according to a report by The Times.

While London’s political and military backing for Kiev has been public since the 2014 Western-backed coup, the extent of its involvement after the escalation in February 2022 “remained largely hidden… until now,” the British newspaper wrote on Friday, citing unnamed Ukrainian and British military officers.

The Times claimed that British troops were sent into Ukraine in small numbers on several occasions throughout 2022 and 2023, operating discreetly to avoid provoking Russia. In particular,UK forces were deployed to fit Ukrainian aircraftwith Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles and train pilots and ground crews in their use.

“UK troops were secretly sent to fit Ukraine’s aircraft with the missiles and teach troops how to use them,” the publication wrote, noting thatit “would not be the first time British troops had been deployed on the ground.”

The UK had been delivering thousands of NLAW anti-tank missiles to Kiev andsending instructors to train Ukrainian soldiers in their use since 2015.While British troops were pulled out of Ukraine shortly before the escalation in February 2022, the deteriorating battlefield situation and the urgent need for technical expertise saw small teams of UK personnel redeployed quietly alongside fresh supplies of missiles, the newspaper reported.

London also reportedly played a key role in helping Ukraine prepare its much-touted 2023 “counteroffensive” against Russia – and in mediating between Kiev and Washington when the operation failed to meet US expectations. (A Total and Complete Failure!)

The newspaper claimed that “behind the scenes,” the Ukrainians referred to Britain’s military chiefs as the “brains” of what they called an “anti-Putin” coalition. Former UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace was even reportedly nicknamed “the man who saved Kiev” by military officials. (Their plans failed so apparently Wallace is not big brained)

“The Americans went to Ukraine only on rare occasionsbecause of concerns that they would be seen to be too involved in the war, unlike Britain’s military chiefs, who were given the freedom to go whenever necessary,” The Times wrote. “Sometimes their visits were so sensitive they went in civilian clothing.”(Russian satellites can identify people down to their face, there is no way they didn’t know these leaders were there. The only reason they didn’t attack them is because that would start a NATO war with Russia, which these countries have always wanted to start.)

Moscow perceives the Ukraine conflict as a Western-led proxy war against Russia, in which Ukrainians serve as “cannon fodder.” It considers foreigners fighting for Kiev as “mercenaries” acting on behalf of Western governments.

Senior Moscow officials have suggested that the more complex weapon systems provided to Kiev are highly likely operated by NATO staff.

The presence of current and former NATO troops has also been tacitly admitted, but never openly confirmed, by Western officials. For example, last year, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz revealed the involvement of British and French forces in preparing Ukrainian missile launches, as he explained why Berlin would not supply similar weapons to Kiev.

Earlier this month, a New York Times investigation found that the administration of former US President Joe Biden provided Ukraine with support that went far beyond arms shipments – extending to daily battlefield coordination, intelligence sharing, and joint strategy planning, which were described as indispensable to Kiev’s fight against Russia.

(And after all these NATO countries breaking all the rules, and engaging in direct war with Russiathey have still lost to Russia, and Russia has not stopped. NATO countries are obviously not up to the task of even a proxy war. God help them in Europe.)

Thousands rally for Vucic amid student-led protests(VIDEOS)

During the rally, the Serbian president declared that “the color revolution is over”

Tens of thousands of people have been gathering in Belgrade since Fridayto show support for President Aleksandar Vucic in the face of significant anti-government protests in Serbia.

Student-led demonstrations against alleged corruption and government negligence have been ongoing in the country for months. The protests, sparked by the deadly collapse of a concrete canopy at the railway station in the city of Novy Sad in November 2024, culminated in a massive rally in Belgrade on March 15, which was followed by clashes between dozens of protesters and the police.

During the demonstrations filmed by RT on SaturdayVucic declared that “the color revolution is over,” adding that “they can walk as much as they wish, but nothing will come out of that.”

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban addressed the rally via video link, stating,“Serbian patriots can count on their Hungarian counterparts.”

The opposition Freedom and Justice Party (SSP) has accused security forces of utilizing a Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD), crowd-control technology originally designed by the US Navy and which poses a significant risk of hearing damage, at the protests on March 15.

Vucic’s government has alleged that theUS “deep state” and European intelligence agencies are inciting the wave of protestsin retaliation for Serbia’s refusal to endorse anti-Russian policies.
