DOGE.gov say $150B saved so far, but doesn't that then translate to $150B/year that we don't have to pay on unnecessary waste fraud and abuse? I'm expecting more, as well as other cuts, tariffs, etc. to reduce and offset various aspects of the budget and debt. Also, refi + lower rates or extended duration bonds, but seriously, isn't $150B so far bigger than it appears on the surface? And who the hell knows what kind of money we're going to collect/debt cancellation offshore and through all these legal cases and confiscations going forward. I don't see a one and done. I think this shit drags out for at least the next decade or so. Kind of sucks, but it's about a decent into landing and a glide path with steps that include offsetting losses with always bigger wins that compound into greatest over the long term.
