Medvedev brands incoming German chancellor ‘Nazi’
The former Russian leader slammed Friedrich Merz over a purported threat that Kiev could use Berlin-supplied missiles to destroy the Crimean Bridge
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has branded incoming German chancellor Friedrich Merz a Nazi after he allegedly suggested that Kiev should destroy the Crimean Bridge.
In an interview with state broadcaster ARD, Merz, the leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party and the likely future leader of Germany, stated that Berlin could supply long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine, but only if it is done in coordination with other EU nations.
Kiev should in the future use Western-supplied missiles to go on the offensive and destroy, for example, “the most important land connection between Russia and Crimea,” Merz said.
Merz did not clarify if he meant the Crimean bridge, which stretches from Russia’s Krasnodar Region to Crimea, or the ‘land bridge’ that Russian forces established with the peninsula when the former Ukrainian region off Kherson joined Russia.
However, many critics have interpreted Merz’s words to mean the Crimean bridge, especially given that Kiev has already conducted a number of attacks on it since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in 2022.
In a post on X on Monday, Medvedev, who currently serves as the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, suggested that Merz was following in the footsteps of his Nazi father.
“Chancellor candidateFritz Merz is haunted by the memory of his father, who served in Hitler’s Wehrmacht. Now Merz has suggested a strike on the Crimean Bridge. Think twice, Nazi,”Medvedev wrote.
According to media reports, Merz’s father Joachim was conscripted into the Wehrmacht - the unified armed forces of Nazi Germany - around 1941. His grandfather, Josef Paul Sauvigny, had also been a member of the Nazi party since 1933.
Russia’s ambassador to Germany, Sergey Nechaev, warned that delivering Taurus missiles to Ukraine would not alter the battlefield situation but could escalate the conflict, as the missiles would be guided by German specialists. He suggested this might provoke Moscow to take retaliatory measures.
Germany is Kiev’s second-largest military donor, after the US. Earlier this month, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced that Berlin would provide the country with an additional $12 billion worth of military aid over the next four years and would continue to support it regardless of the upcoming change of government in Germany.
Russia has repeatedly slammed continued foreign assistance to Ukraine, arguing that it only serves to prolong hostilities and cause more bloodshed without affecting the ultimate outcome of the conflict.

‘Russian narratives’ dominate US – Zelensky
Trump has previously accused the Ukrainian leader of stalling peace talks
Vladimir Zelensky has claimed that “Russian narratives are prevailing” within the administration of US President Donald Trump, which has previously suggested the Ukrainian leader is not ready for peace.
There has been not just “a shift in tone” in Washington, but also “a shift in reality,” Zelensky told CBS News. He referred to Trump calling him “a dictator without elections” in February, as well as suggestions by some US officials that Ukraine started the conflict.
“It is wrong that America wants to be neutral,”he lamented in an interview aired on Sunday. Washington was Kiev’s biggest arms supplier and financial supporter during the previous administration of President Joe Biden. Trump has vowed to cut support and end the conflict.
(Please Zelensky keep this bullshit up, no one likes you in America, keep on insulting our President!)
Zelensky’s comments come amid White House efforts to achieve a deal to end the Ukraine conflict. Trump envoy Steve Witkoff traveled to Russia for the third time in two months last week to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Moscow and Washington have been engaged in negotiations since Trump took office in January, and have held several rounds of high-level talks focused on a possible ceasefire in Ukraine and restoring bilateral relations.
Last month, Zelensky publicly supported a 30-day moratorium on strikes targeting energy infrastructure agreed by Putin and Trump. However, Moscow claims that Kiev has repeatedly broken it since.
The Ukrainian leader also accused US Vice President J.D. Vance of “somehow justifying Putin’s actions”after he said the Russian president could be trusted andimplied that Zelensky was spreading a false narrative. Zelensky came under fire for ingratitude and for resisting calls to agree to a ceasefire with Moscow during a bitter dispute with Trump and Vance in the Oval Office in February.
Zelensky has allegedthat these incidents are a result of the “enormous influence of Russia’s information policy on America, on US politics, and US politicians.”
While acknowledging that Moscow and Kiev should work to end the conflict “as soon as possible” and transit to diplomacy,Zelensky claimed that he “can’t trust negotiations with Russia.”
The US president reiterated on Sunday that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine would have never happened if he had won the 2020 election, describing it as “Biden’s war.” He also said that stopping the fighting remains a top priority, but admitted the challenges involved.

Zelensky shuns talks with Russia
Moscow cannot be trusted, Ukraine’s leader has said, professing “100% hatred” towards Russian President Vladimir Putin
Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has cast doubt on the possibility of direct peace talks with Russia, citing the lack of trust between the two countries. His comments come as Moscow has accused Kiev of repeatedly violating a US-mediated agreement not to strike energy facilities.
Speaking in an interview with CBS News on Sunday, Zelensky accused Russia of numerous atrocities during the conflict, stating that Moscow’s recent strikes showed that “we can’t trust negotiations with Russia.”
Zelensky was referring to a Russian strike on the city of Krivoy Rog earlier this month which Kiev claims resulted in the death of 19 people.Moscow, however, has said that the attack targeted a meeting of Ukrainian commanders and Western instructors, claiming that up to 85 soldiers and officers were killed. The Kremlin has also insisted that only military-related facilities are being targeted.
The Ukrainian leader also noted that his personal view of Russian President Vladimir Putin was defined by “100% hatred,” but acknowledged that “this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t work to end the war as soon as possible and transition to diplomacy.”
Zelensky also warned that without American backing – which has been called into questionsince US President Donald Trump returned to office –Ukraine could suffer severe consequences. “Without the United States, we will suffer great losses. Human and territorial. So, I wouldn’t like to consider that,” he said.
The Ukrainian leader went on to lament that the “Russian narratives are prevailing in the US,”adding “this speaks to the enormous influence of Russia’s information policy on America, on US politics, and US politicians.”
While Moscow has repeatedly said it is open to negotiations, Zelensky signed a decree banning talks with the Russian governmentin 2022 after four former Ukrainian territories voted to join Russia.
After Zelensky’s presidential term expired last year and he refused to hold a new election, citing martial law, Moscow declared him “illegitimate,” insisting that the legal authority now rests with Ukraine’s parliament.
Putin has said that any documents outlining a potential peace settlement could be signed only by the legitimate Ukrainian authorities.
Zelensky’s comments come as Russia has accused Ukraine of repeatedly violating a Trump-brokered moratorium on attacks on energy infrastructure. Moscow has said that while it reserves the right to retaliate against the strikes, it has chosen to honor the agreement as a sign of improving relations with Washington.
As for the terms of a potential peace deal, Moscow insists that any agreement must address the root causes of the conflict, including NATO’s expansion toward its borders. It also continues to demand that Ukraine renounce its ambition to join the bloc and formally recognize Crimea and four other regions as Russian territory.

Zelensky started the war then begged for missiles – Trump
The Ukrainian leader has recently renewed his call for Washington to supply air defense systems
Ukraine’s VladimirZelensky should never have started a war with Russia, US President Donald Trump has said.
In a press conference alongside El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump commented on Zelensky’s recent offer to finance $15 billion worth of Patriot air defense batteries with the aid of Kiev’s European backers.
“He’s always looking to purchase missiles,” the US presided noted.
“When you start a war, you got to know that you can win the war,”he said of Zelensky. “You don’t start a war against somebody that’s 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles.”
Trump added that he gave Kiev American-made Javelin man-portable anti-tank missiles during his first presidency.
In aninterview with CBS News on Sunday, Zelensky called on the US to supply Ukraine with more air defenses. Kiev is ready to buy or lease up to ten Patriot air defense systems, and some European backers have offered to help with the money, he claimed.
During the interview, the network suggested that Trump tried to cut Kiev out of peace talks with Russia, and that he lied in his statements about the conflict.Trump allegedly “rewrote history, saying, falsely, that Ukraine had started the war and calling… Zelensky ‘a dictator without elections’,” according to CBS.
The US president lashed out at the news network on Truth Social on Monday, calling the interview inaccurate and fraudulent.
Trump has repeatedly claimed that the Ukraine conflict would never have escalated had he been in the White House, rather than his predecessor Joe Biden.
According to the US president, the previous administration invested more than $300 billion into supporting Kiev. Trump has promised to “get back” the money, entering talks with Ukraine about jointly exploiting its mineral resources. He also suggested taking over Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
The Kremlin has hailed the Trump administration’s peace efforts, but cautioned that resolving long-standing issues will take time and “painstaking work.”

Trump slams ‘dishonest’ CBS after Zelensky interview
The broadcaster “should lose its license” for pushing biased narratives, the US president insists
CBS News must have its broadcasting license revoked, US President Donald Trump has said. He has accused the network ofspreading politically biased misinformation in its coverage of the Ukraine conflictand Washington’s push to acquire Greenland.
In a Truth Social post on Monday, Trump lashed out at the broadcaster after it aired an interview with Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky and a segment revisiting the US president’s controversial idea to purchase Greenland.
In the Zelensky interview, the network suggested that Trump had sought to exclude Kiev from peace talks with Russia and that he “rewrote history, saying, falsely, that Ukraine had started the war and calling… Zelensky ‘a dictator without elections.’”
The US president’s “dictator” comment in February was referring to the fact that Zelensky’s presidential term expired last year and that he has refused to call a new vote, citing martial law. Trump has since softened his rhetoric about the Ukrainian leader.
The CBS report on Greenland focused on the island’s residents’ purported reluctance to become part of the US.
“Almost every week, 60 Minutes… mentions the name ‘TRUMP’ in a derogatory and defamatory way, but this Weekend’s ‘BROADCAST’ tops them all,” Trump wrote.
“They did not one, but TWO, major stories on ‘TRUMP,’ one having to do with Ukraine, which I say is a War that would never have happened if the 2020 Election had not been RIGGED… and, the other story was having to do with Greenland, casting our Country, as led by me, falsely, inaccurately, and fraudulently,” he added.
“They are not a ‘News Show,’ but a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as ‘News,’ and must be responsible for what they have done, and are doing,” Trump suggested. “They should lose their license!”
The US leader stressed thatCBS “should pay a big price” for being “out of control,” recalling his previous stand-off with the network over a heavily edited interview with Kamala Harris, his main Democratic rival prior to the November election.
The controversy over the Harris interview erupted in October when CBS aired two versions of an interview with the then-vice president. In one, she gave a long and convoluted answer about the Middle East conflict, but in the other, she gave a much clearer and more concise answer.
Trump subsequently lodged a $10 billion lawsuit against CBS, calling the interview “word salad”and accusing the network of “deceitful, deceptive manipulation of news” and favoritism to the Democratic Party. CBS has admitted to editing the interview but rejected allegations that it attempted to doctor it.
(Today Trump refused to take questions from CBS. The DS agencies are still controlling the media.)

EU industry bosses want Russian gas supplies restored – Reuters
German chemical companies and French utility firms have both suggested the necessity of importing cheap Russian energy
Germany’s chemical industryis in a “severe crisis” and in dire need of a return to cheap Russian gas, Reuters reported on Monday, citing executives in the sector. French energy majors Engie and Total have also told the agency that they could see a restart of imports of hydrocarbon from Russia.
With a turnover of €225.5 billion in 2023, chemicals and pharmaceuticals are Germany’s third-largest industry, behind automotive and machinery and equipment, according to the European Chemical Industry Council.
The EU committed to eliminating Russian gas imports by 2027, following the escalation of conflict between Kiev and Moscow three years ago. Brussels aimed to replace them with more expensive liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar and the United States.
Talks with Qatar have stalled however, and Washington’s shift away from the EU under US President Donald Trump, along with his tariff campaign, have left bloc chiefs concerned about the reliability of American supplies.
“We are in a severe crisis and can’t wait,”Christof Guenther, managing director of InfraLeuna told Reuters. InfraLeuna hosts Dow Chemical and Shell plants and is one of Germany’s biggest chemical manufacturing clusters.
“It’s a taboo topic,” Guenther added, saying that many of his colleagues have agreed on the need to go back to Russian gas.
Before 2022, Russia met up to 60% of Germany’s demand for natural gas. The loss of an affordable supply has led to increased energy costs, resulting in production cuts and job losses across the country’s industrial sector.
“We need Russian gas, we need cheap energy - no matter where it comes from,” said Klaus Paur, managing director of Leuna-Harze, a petrochemical maker at Leuna Park.
French energy firms Engie and Total have also spoken out in favor of resuming gas purchases from Russia.
=“If there is a reasonable peace in Ukraine, we could go back to flows of 60 billion cubic meters (bcm), maybe 70, annually…” Didier Holleaux, executive vice-president at Engie, told Reuters. (They are using “A Just Peace” anymore)
The EU used to import 150 bcm of pipeline gas from Russia every year, which covered 40% of its needs. After the Ukraine conflict is settled, the country could account for 20-25%, Holleaux said.
”Europe will never go back to importing 150 bcm…but I would bet maybe 70 bcm,” Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne suggested.
Russia has long reiterated that it is a reliable energy supplier, with the Kremlin saying in January that Moscow would resume gas deliveries to the EU, provided that there are buyers.
Russian gas reached Germany and on to the wider EU via the Nord Stream undersea pipelines, which were damaged in a sabotage attack in 2022. However, one string of Nord Stream 2, remains intact.
The EU still receives Russian gas via the TurkStream pipeline, which runs through Turkey and the Balkans.
A key pipeline that delivered gas to Italy, Slovakia and Hungary via Ukraine was closed after Kiev refused to extend a transit agreement in January, and blew up a gas metering station on the border.

Scottish police share findings after plant explodes(VIDEO)
The major fire was not started deliberately, according to the emergency services
Scottish authorities have determined that a major fire at a battery recycling plant in the west of the country was not the result of arson, according to reports. The blaze in the town of Kilwinning last Wednesday forced nearby residents to evacuate their homes.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) deployed almost a dozen fire engines to tackle the blaze at the Fenix Battery Recycling, located on the Byrehill Industrial Estate in North Ayrshire. The fire broke out almost exactly one year after the same site was severely damaged by a blaze that raged for two days.
Witnesses said the fire last Wednesday was accompanied by a series of loud explosions, and reported large plumes of smoke rising from the scene. The SFRS advised that windows and doors be kept closed and for residents not to pick up any debris in the surrounding area.
The police and emergency services determined on Friday that the blaze was not started deliberately, according to local media.
“The amount of toxins released are equivalent to 1,000 trucks with poorly tuned diesels driving nonstop for over 10 years, according to reports,”one user commented on X.
In September last year, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)revoked Fenix’s waste management license as part of an “enhanced package of enforcement action.”
The company was ordered to transfer any waste in breach of the license to an approved facility.
As part of the enforcement measures, Fenix was given a deadline of June to comply with several requirements, including removing fire debris, repairing damaged infrastructure, and implementing a comprehensive fire prevention and mitigation plan.
The agency stated that its officers had visited the site to collect samples from nearby watercourses and would continue to monitor the situation.

British MP and Former Labour Minister Tulip Siddiq Under Fire After Bangladesh Issues Warrant for Her Arrest for Corruption
by Paul Serran Apr. 14, 2025
It says a lot about the nature of UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government that the woman he chose to lead the anti-corruption agency, Tulip Siddiq, had to resign in disgrace after news arose that she was under serious investigations for corruption in Bangladesh.
Now, the MP and former Minister Siddiq has become even more embattled as the Bangladeshi authorities issue an arrest warrant for her.
BBC reported:
“The country’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has been investigating allegations Siddiq illegally received land as part of its wider probe of the regime of her aunt, Sheikh Hasina, who was deposed as prime minister in August.
The Hampstead and Highgate MP, who quit as economic secretary to the Treasury in January, wasnamed in the arrest warrant alongside more than 50 others.”
The situation can become critical, since the UK does have extradition agreement with Bangladesh.
“The ACC is examining claims Sheikh Hasina and her family embezzled up to £3.9bn from infrastructure spending in Bangladesh.”
Bobby Hajjaj, a political opponent of Hasina, has accused Siddiq of helping in the brokering of a deal with Russia in 2013 to inflate the price of a new nuclear power plant in Bangladesh.
Siddiq’s lawyer Stephenson Harwood:
“To be clear, there is no basis at all for any charges to be made against her, and there is absolutely no truth in any allegation that she received a plot of land in Dhaka through illegal means. She has never had a plot of land in Bangladesh, and she has never influenced any allocation of plots of land to her family members or anyone else.
No evidence has been provided by the ACC to support this or any other allegation made against Siddiq, and it is clear to us that the charges are politically motivated.”

Big Fani can’t stop targeting innocent people…
Fani Willis didn’t just weaponize her office—she turned it into a finely oiled machine of political persecution, shady backroom deals, and a shameless abuse of power. From lawfare against President Trump to targeting everyday citizens, her office has become a dark symbol of everything that’s gone totally wrong with our justice system.
And thanks to her own corruption, the mask fell completely off. The affair with her married lover-turned-Trump investigator was just the beginning. What we’re looking at now is full-blown systemic rot—from the top of Georgia’s government all the way down to the courtroom floor.
Even after she was caught red-handed, Big Fani and her office of minions continue to dig their heels in and go after innocent people.
Recently, Big Fani got slapped down by the courts and was ordered to pay big fines for violations in the Trump case.
Conservative Brief:
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been ordered to pay over $54,000 in attorney fees for violating Georgia’s Open Records Act, according to court documents.
The dispute arose from Willis’ office failing to provide records requested by defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represents Michael Roman, a former campaign and White House aide to President Donald Trump. Roman was indicted alongside Trump in the Georgia election interference case, which Willis brought in 2023 and is currently unresolved, Newsweek reported.
Friday’s ruling represents another setback for Fani Willis and her case against Trump and the other defendants, the outlet noted further.
In December, Willis was disqualified from prosecuting the case involving Trump and 18 other co-defendants, who are accused of conspiring to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in Georgia. Trump has denied the charges and accused Willis of conducting a politically motivated attack.
Also, let’s not forget—this is the same woman who pushed so much anti-Trump propaganda, one of the would-be assassins had her photo saved on his phone.

This isn’t justice. This is just more left-wing lawfare and abuse.
