The Trump administration has granted Fast Track designation to a groundbreaking — and controversial — self-amplifying mRNA (sa-mRNA) vaccine candidate targeting the H5N1 avian influenza virus.

The vaccine, ARCT-2304, developed by Arcturus Therapeutics, is now in Phase 1 trials and has been positioned by federal health authorities as a front-line defense against a potential bird flu pandemic.

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky should never have started a war with Russia, US President Donald Trump has said.

In a press conference alongside El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump commented on Zelensky’s recent offer to finance $15 billion worth of Patriot air defense batteries with the aid of Kiev’s European backers.

“He’s always looking to purchase missiles,” the US presided noted.

“When you start a war, you got to know that you can win the war,” he said of Zelensky. “You don’t start a war against somebody that’s 20 times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles.”

Trump added that he gave Kiev American-made Javelin man-portable anti-tank missiles during his first presidency.

In an interview with CBS News on Sunday, Zelensky called on the US to supply Ukraine with more air defenses. Kiev is ready to buy or lease up to ten Patriot air defense systems, and some European backers have offered to help with the money, he claimed.

During the interview, the network suggested that Trump tried to cut Kiev out of peace talks with Russia, and that he lied in his statements about the conflict. Trump allegedly “rewrote history, saying, falsely, that Ukraine had started the war and calling… Zelensky ‘a dictator without elections’,” according to CBS.

Israel Bombs Christian-Run Hospital in Gaza City on Palm Sunday

The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which manages the hospital, strongly condemned the attack

Early Sunday morning, the Israeli military bombed the al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, putting the medical facility out of service.

According to Middle East Eye, Gaza’s Civil Defense said the bombing caused “the destruction of the surgery building and the oxygen generation station for the intensive care units.” The strike damaged other buildings, including the adjoining St. Phillip’s Church.

The Civil Defense said the strike hit the hospital “minutes” after the Israeli military ordered the hospital to be evacuated. Eyewitnesses told MEE that they only had 18 minutes to leave the hospital.

At least three patients, including a child with head injuries, died as a result of the forced evacuation. The Israeli military took credit for the attack and claimed it targeted a Hamas “command and control center” but offered no evidence.

The attack on the hospital, which was founded in 1882, comes amid severe shortages of medical supplies due to the total Israeli blockade on all goods entering Gaza, which has been imposed since March 2. Hospitals have been overwhelmed since Israel fully restarted its genocidal war on March 18.

The Baptist Hospital is managed by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which strongly condemned the attack and noted that it occurred on Palm Sunday, the start of the Christian Holy Week that ends on Easter Sunday.

A private plane that crashed in upstate New York over the weekend was carrying six members of a close-knit family of physicians and distinguished student-athletes on a trip to the Catskills for a birthday celebration and the Passover holiday.

The twin-engine Mitsubishi MU-2B went down shortly after noon Saturday in a muddy field in Copake, New York, near the Massachusetts line, killing everyone on board, according to authorities and a family member who spoke to The Associated Press.

Shortly before the crash, the pilot had radioed air traffic control at Columbia County Airport to say he had missed the initial approach and requested a new approach plan, officials with the National Transportation Safety Board said at a Sunday briefing. While preparing the new coordinates, air traffic controllers attempted to relay a low-altitude alert three times, with no response from the pilot and no distress call, officials said.

Investigators obtained video of the final seconds of the flight, which “appears to show that the aircraft was intact and crashed at a high rate of descent into the ground,” NTSB official Todd Inman told reporters.

The Federal Trade Commission's antitrust case against Big Tech giant Meta begins Monday in federal court in Washington, D.C. and could result in CEO Mark Zuckerberg having to sell Instagram and WhatsApp.

The federal watchdog agency filed the suit in 2020, when Meta was just Facebook, and claims the company bought Instagram and WhatsApp to squash competition and establish an illegal monopoly in the social media market, according to the Associated Press.

The FCC further says Meta has maintained a monopoly by pursuing a strategy Zuckerberg articulated in 2008 of "It is better to buy than compete."

"True to that maxim," the FCC says, "Facebook has systematically tracked potential rivals and acquired companies that it viewed as serious competitive threats."

Meta already owned Facebook when it purchased Instagram in 2012 and WhatsApp in 2014.

Meta said in a statement: "The evidence at trial will show what every 17-year-old in the world knows: Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp compete with Chinese-owned TikTok, YouTube, X, iMessage and many others.

"More than 10 years after the FTC reviewed and cleared our acquisitions, the Commission's action in this case sends the message that no deal is ever truly final. According to the AP presstitutes Bernard Condon and Stan Choe, Trump is causing the US to lose its reputation as a “safe haven.” Their evidence is a “freak sell-off of ‘safe haven’ US bonds that raises fear that confidence in America is fading.”

The AP message is clear: Trump is destroying the world’s confidence in America, and Americans will not be able to get a loan.

The reason for the Bond sell-off is that the stock market was down several thousand points, and people waiting for a buy opportunity sold bonds and bought equities. So far they have gained 3,000 points on their transaction. The alleged “freak sell-off” of US Treasuries was nothing but the decisions of people to take advantage of a buying opportunity by shifting from bonds to stocks.

I believe in holding Trump accountable. That is the responsibility of American citizens. If the Trump administration has deported mistakenly a father of American children, the error should be corrected. But I do not believe in permitting the media to lie and misrepresent in order to attack a president of the United States or the government of any other country. But that is what biased and ideologically-motivated media do in America and throughout the Western world.

There is no Western media, just a propaganda ministry that is against anything that is normal.

Prior to Trump’s reelection, I warned that he would be faced with a corrupt Western media and a corrupt American judiciary. He could break up the media by enforcing the Sherman Anti-trust Act. But he hasn’t.

The DEI Democrat judges appointed for the sole purpose of advancing liberal/left agendas are a different kind of problem. The majority of them are unqualified and should never have been approved. The question for Trump and his intent to renew America is how is this achieved when Democrat and RINO members of the judiciary are opposed to America? President Trump is faced with Democrat judges who are ideologues who are enemies of America.
