When I walked around in DC (first time) I began to feel a lot of emotions:

Inspired by our founding fathers.

Gratitude for our service men and women and the sacrifices they made for our freedoms.

Pride in POTUS and this administration.

Pleased that the majority of folks I spoke with were clearly MAGA.
Some of that good feeling turned to disgust and a feeling of helplessness …. seeing the glorification of people who are basically evil and/or traitors to this great nation. The swamp needs to be scrubbed after it is drained. We need a new museum of shame to house this stuff.
I would also add that while most of the fine folks in DC operating the parks and protecting government buildings and staff were really helpful and awesome, I saw a few that DJT would have fired on the spot….. Gruff security at the White House Visitors center trying to push me around and separate me from my son. I think the sound of my voice and the look on my face shut that shit down fast, but it should never happen. The Capitol policeman who told a 75 year old man he was gonna have to wait in line outside when he just needed to use the restroom. He was a serious fucktard about it. I was going to back and collect his information, but by the time I helped find him a bathroom it was too late.
