‘West as we knew it no longer exists’ – EU’s von der Leyen

The bloc must look for new partners as trade tensions with the US increase, the European Commission president has said

The traditional idea of a united West is a thing of the past, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has admitted.

In an interview with the German newspaper Die Zeit published Tuesday, she claimed the EU no longer sees the US as its most important trading partner, after sweeping tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.

“The West as we knew it no longer exists,” she said. “The world has become a globe also geopolitically, and today our networks of friendship span the globe, as you can see in the debate about tariffs.”

Her comments come after the Trump administration imposed a sweeping 20% tariff on all EU goods and a 25% tariff on all car imports. The EU responded by introducing its own retaliatory 25% tariffs on US imports. Trump later announced a 90-day pause on most global tariffs, pending negotiations with trade partners.

According to von der Leyen, tensions with the US have had a “positive side effect” in the form of numerous states attempting to court the EU.“Everyone is asking for more trade with Europe – and it’s not just about economic ties. It is also about establishing common rules and it is about predictability,” she said.(KEK I doubt that seriously.)

Asked whether her remarks about the West should beinterpreted as “a final farewell to the United States,” von der Leyen stressed thatshe “firmly believe[s]” in the US-EU friendship. “But the new reality also includes the fact that many other states are seeking to draw closer to us. 13% of global trade is with the United States. 87% of the world’s trade is with other countries,”she said. (Hmm how many countries are there, 13% is not bad. Her arguments are not hitting home.)

The EU should therefore “open up new markets for our companies and establish as close a relationship as possible with many countries that have the same interests as us,” von der Leyen added. (There is no other countries that have the same interests. She is complaining that the EU got away with high tariffs and how dare America require fair trade and tariffs, like us. Bizarre)

As tensions with the US continue to rise – with Trump even suggesting that the EU “was formed in order to screw” America –some leaders in the bloc have called for a review of bilateral ties. Earlier this month, French President Emmanuel Macron urged European firms to halt new investments in the US, asking: “What message would we send by investing billions… while they are hitting us?” (No country in the EU agree with the others, they are divided and don’t get much done, so a couple of countries asking for this will go no where. Plus the French companies told Macron to fuck off, when he told them to stop doing business with the U.S.)

(This whole interview was only done to try to scare Trump. Ursula, the dog killer’s messaging is ineffective!)

French PM accuses US of abandoning Western (NWO) values

Washington’s rupture with longtime allies over Ukraine has shattered the global order, Francois Bayrou has said

French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou has accused theUS of abandoning the values of the democratic world, saying Washington’s sudden pivottoward closer ties with Russiahas undermined the trust of its allies and shaken the global order.

In remarks delivered on Tuesday, Bayrou said theUS, once seen as the linchpin of the "alliance of free nations" and a guarantor of international law, had abandoned core Western values. He added it was “shocking” that a country long seen as a pillar of the global order “could suddenly side with the aggressor.”

Moscow and Washington have been engaged in negotiations since US President Donald Trump took office in January. The two countries have held several rounds of high-level talks focused on a possible peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict and also on restoring bilateral relations.

Some EU members and Kiev have expressed concern about what they perceive as Washington being on Russia’s side in the Ukraine conflict. Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky claimed this week that “Russian narratives are prevailing” within the Trump administration. The White House, meanwhile, has accused Zelensky of making “absurd”statements.

The French prime minister cited pressure on Ukraine “to surrender immediatelyto the demands of his aggressor under the threat of being cut off from all military aid” as evidence of a dramatic shift in US policy. (Lie)

Trump publicly clashed with Zelensky in February at the White House, accusing the Ukrainian leader of disrespect, ingratitude for past US aid, reluctance to seek peace with Russia, and “gambling with World War III.”

Trump later claimed Zelensky was attempting to push through a long-term aid deal, andtemporarily froze military assistance to Kiev.

In his speech, Bayrou alsocriticized Trump for dismantling decades of cooperation by launching a global trade war “without warning,”striking both rivals and allies alike with sweeping tariffs. (Fuck Trump has said he would impose tariffs for the last 4 years at every rally and speech he would impose tariffs, and for 40 years before that, they apparently didn’t believe it.)

He described the resulting fallout asa “cyclone”that undermined international law and economic stability.

Bayrou added that the French government urgently needs to reduce its budget deficit to confront a “tsunami of destabilization” caused by Trump’s tariffs.

(The French are emotional and liars, Macron sent him out to do this. Do they really think the U.S. cares? The global order, NWO was created by Neocons in the U.S., and they are mourning they can’t continue their rule over the world and intimidate countries with our backing. These people do not want peace, they make more money on weapons of war.)

France helped Zelensky write apology letter to Trump – Politico

British, French and German diplomats have reportedly been looking for ways to help Kiev restore relations with the US, the outlet claimed

French diplomats reportedly helped Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky write a conciliatory letter to US President Donald Trump in a bid to help the two leaders mend ties, Politico reported on Wednesday, citing an anonymous official.

Relations between Trump and Zelensky soured following the Ukrainian leader’s visit to Washington in late February. During a meeting at the White House, which included US Vice President J.D. Vance, Zelensky pushed back against Trump’s attempts to get Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table.

In response, Trump and Vance accused Zelensky of being ungrateful for US support and “gambling with World War III” by refusing to engage in peace talks with Moscow. The meeting was cut short and Zelensky was told to leave and come back only when he is ready for peace. Trump also temporarily halted all US military assistance to Ukraine after the heated exchange, but later resumed support after Kiev agreed to a 30-day ceasefire proposal.

Despite resumed contacts, relations between Zelensky and Trump have remained strained, Politico noted. In the weeks after the row, diplomats in France, Germany and the UK “sweatedover how to try and repair the badly damaged relationship between Trump and Zelensky,” the outlet claimed.

While British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was holding calls with both leaders and sent advisors to both Washington and Kiev, French diplomats were helping Zelensky write a letter seeking reconciliation with Trump, Politico wrote, citing a French official.

While the content of the letter has not been made public, Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff has stated that it contained an apology from the Ukrainian leader for the Oval Office scandal. The US president also confirmed receiving an “important” letter from Zelensky in which the latter had expressed his readiness to “come to the negotiating table as soon as possible.”

Russia and Ukraine subsequently agreed to a 30-day partial ceasefire under which the two sides were to refrain from targeting each other’s energy infrastructure. However, Moscow has since accused Kiev of breaching the truce on an almost daily basis.

Meanwhile, following a five-hour-long meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week, Witkoff stated on Monday that the Ukraine peace process was on “the verge” of a breakthrough. He also acknowledged that the Russian leader is pursuing a permanent resolution of the conflict, a position that Moscow has consistently articulated from the beginning.

(The Barbarians don’t even know how to write an apology letter. The French and English couldn’t even manipulate Trump. KEK)

US wants UK to ditch ‘hate speech’ laws to secure trade deal – media

Washington and London are currently negotiating a tariff agreement

The administration of US President Donald Trump wants the UK government to repeal hate speech laws in order to secure a trade deal between the two nations, the Independent reported on Wednesday, citing claims by sources close to US Vice President J.D. Vance.

In a recent interview, Vance spoke of his admiration for the UK and expressed optimism about the negotiations.

Washington and London are “working very hard on a trade deal” within the new US tariff regime, he told the British website UnHerd on Tuesday.

However, the sources reportedly claimed to the Independent that Vance’s optimism on a trade deal “is a way of putting further pressure on the UK over free speech.”

“If a deal does not go through, it makes Labour look bad,” they reportedly said.

“No free speech, no deal. It is as simple as that.”

The UK government has rejected claims that the US has imposed a free speech ultimatum. The subject “is not a feature of the talks,” a Downing Street source told the newspaper.

The UK’s hate speech laws have led to a significant number of arrests. In 2023,UK police detained over 12,000 people – approximately 33 per day – for online messages deemed offensive or distressing under the legislation, according to The Times. Critics among civil liberties groups argue that these laws are vague and infringe on free speech.

Vance has previously criticized European leaders for retreating from democratic values. During a speech at the Munich Security Conference in February, he accused them of censoring speech and suppressing opposition parties, warning that the greatest threat to democracy comes from within.

The UK has been spared the worst of the massive wave of levies imposed by Trump earlier this month. The country faces a 10% tariff on all goods and 25% on steel, aluminum and automotive imports. The two countries are currently negotiating a new trade agreement during the 90-day pause in the tariff hike issued by the Trump administration.

(This does sound made up, a UK paper writing it to upset the country. I wish it were true though.)

US demanding $100bn compensation from Ukraine – Bloomberg

Washington reportedly still views a resource deal with Kiev as a way to recover funds spent on supporting the country

The US continues to insist that Ukraine should pay it tens of billions of dollars as part of a resource deal in compensation for American assistance in the conflict with Russia, but has scaled back its initial assessment of the final amount, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, citing sources.

Washington and Kiev have for weeks been discussing a resource deal – a concept first floated by Vladimir Zelensky last year – which would grant the US access to Ukraine’s deposits of rare earths.

Following a round of talks in Washington last week, officials from the administration of US President Donald Trump cut their estimate of American assistance to Kiev from more than $300 billion to about $100 billion, Bloomberg sources said. Ukraine itself assesses total aid US during the conflict with Russia at just over $90 billion.

However, US officials still view the resource deal “as an opportunity to recoup costs in Ukraine through profits” received from a joint fund, the size of which is still unknown, a Bloomberg source claimed. Ukraine has consistently rejected the idea that US aid constitutes a debt, insisting that assistance was provided unconditionally.

Kiev is also pushing for future US investment in the joint fund, although Trump’s team has been reluctant to entertain the ideawhile insisting that previous American military support should be counted as Washington’s contribution, the article said.

Asked to comment on the state of the negotiations, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Bloomberg thatthe sides “are very, very close” to finding a consensus, and that the agreement “could even be signed as early as this week.”

The two sides were close to signing a deal in late February, with the ceremony widely expected to take place during Zelensky’s visit to the Oval Office. However, the event devolved into a public spat, with Trump accusing Zelensky of disrespect, ingratitude for past US aid, reluctance to seek peace with Russia, and “gambling with World War III.”

US to tie tariff deals to China curbs – WSJ

Washington reportedly aims to leverage tariff negotiations to isolate Beijing

The US plans to use tariff negotiations to push trade partners to scale back economic ties with China, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the talks. The strategy is reportedly aimed at securing commitments from countries hit by recent US tariff hikes to help isolate China’s economy and pressure Beijing to negotiate.

US President Donald Trump announced new “reciprocal” tariffs on nearly 90 countries earlier this month, citing unfair trade practices. After global markets reacted by dropping sharply and several governments sought exemptions, he paused most of the tariffs for 90 days, reducing them to a baseline rate of 10%. However, the pause does not apply to China, whose exports to the US are now subject to tariffs of up to 145% amid an ongoing tit-for-tat trade war.

US officials aim to convince trade partners toaccept permanent tariff cuts in exchange for curbing their economic engagement with China, according to the WSJ. Proposed commitments may vary by country, but could reportedly include stopping China from rerouting exports through third-party nations, banning Chinese firms from setting up operations locally to avoid US tariffs, and limiting imports of low-cost Chinese industrial goods.

Sources said the measures are meant to undermine China’s economy and reduce its leverage ahead of potential negotiations between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. The US has already raised the proposal in early discussions with some countries, sources claimed.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was reportedly one of the main architects of the plan. Sources claimed he presented the strategy to Trump during an April 6 meeting at Mar-a-Lago, arguing that obtaining concessions from partners could prevent China from evading tariffs and export controls. He previously named the UK, Australia, South Korea, India, and Japan as countries likely to finalize trade agreements with Washington in the near future.

The White House and Treasury Department declined to comment on the WSJ report. On Tuesday, Trump urged China to initiate negotiations to resolve the tariff dispute.

“The ball is in China’s court. China needs to make a deal with us. We don’t have to make a deal with them,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, quoting a statement she claimed was dictated by the president.

Beijing, however, has so far refused to back down. On Friday, China announced it would impose a 125% tariff on all US goods, reiterating it will “fight to the end” against Washington’s trade policy. Beijing also signaled this could be the last increase, noting that “at the current tariff level, there is no market acceptance for US goods exported to China,” while adding that other countermeasures are being considered.

(WSJ, the Murdoch’s and neocons promoted the deindustrialization of America, so they warn China in advance, if it’s true.)

US drops to record low in 2025 World Happiness Report: See global rankings

Anthony Robledo

The United States is continuing its downward path on the global World Happiness Report, having dropped to a record low on the global rankings list.

Last year, the U.S. fell out of the top 20 for the first time in the report's history, landing at No. 23. The 2025 report, published Thursday, shows Americans dropping another level down to No. 24.

Several organizations conduct the annual reportthat ranks countries from the most to least overall happiness. Once again, Nordic countries lead the list, dominating the top 4 spots.

The World Happiness Report also shares illuminating information such as the fact that declining joy and social trust is a contributor to a rise of political polarization in the U.S. and parts of Europe.

Here's what to know what about this year's report, including the global rankings and how researchers calculate joy.

Costa Rica and Mexico enter the top 10 for first time

Costa Rica and Mexico both made their top 10 debut on the World Happiness Report this year, coming in at the No. 6 and No. 10 spots, respectively.

European nations Lithuania (No. 16), Slovenia (No. 19) and Czechia (No. 20) are continuing upward trends, according to the report.

The report also listed three nations that have improved happiness since the ranking began in 2012: Serbia (No. 31), Bulgaria (No. 81), and Georgia (No. 91).

What increases happiness in countries?

Several factors are linked to overall wellbeing, from meal sharing to income and employment status, according to the report.

The report states that households of four to five people typically enjoy the highest happiness levels in Mexico and Europe, though many people in Europe live on their own. Researchers also suggest that social connections are vital for young adults to avoid the toxic effects of stress.

The report suggests that countries where acts of generosity and kindness are frequent often lead to less despair related deaths such as suicide or drug overdose.

What is the World Happiness Report?

The World Happiness Report is a partnership between Gallup, the University of Oxford's Wellbeing Research Centre, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network and the WHR (World Happiness Report) Editorial Board offering insight on happiness levels globally.

"The World Happiness Report reflects a worldwide demand for more attention to happiness and well-being as criteria for government policy," according to its website. "It reviews the state of happiness in the world today and shows how the science of happiness explains personal and national variations in happiness."

How do World Happiness Report researchers measure happiness?

According to the UN's Sustainable Development Solutions Network, global researchers analyze data from the Gallup World Poll.

The poll gathers responses from over 100,000 people from all around the world.

People in different countries rank their happiness by imagining a ladder with 10 steps. The first and lowest step of the ladder represents the worst of the worst a person's life can be. The tenth and highest step represents a person's best life. Researchers then ask people which step they believe they're on.

World Happiness Report: What factors impact happiness?

The UN's Sustainable Development Solutions Network lists six factors that can explain the different levels of happiness.

Social Support: This is the best predictor of happiness. If people feel like they have at least one person they can reach out to when they're in need, they are more likely to feel secure.

GDP per capita: This is how much a country produces divided by its population.

A healthy life expectancy: Researchers look at the physical and mental health of a country's population.

Freedom to make life choices: This plays a key role in how happy one feels.

Generosity: This factor looks at how charitable a country's people are.

Perception of Corruption: How corrupt are a country's government and business policies? This factor looks at both and researchers use what they find to estimate happiness levels.

REPORT: President Trump Opposed Israeli Strikes on Iran Nuclear Sites 1/2

April 17, 2025 | Sundance |

The report comes as a result of leaks to the New York Times. Which, given the nature of the subject matter and administration officials involved, indicates the sourcing isfrom the domestic IC side of things. Specifically, the greatest likelihood is fromsomeone in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) talking to media. Keep that in mind.

According to leaked information to the New York Times, President Trump did not agree with an Israeli proposal to launch military strikes against Iran.According to the narrative as advanced, President Trump, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were in agreement to attempt diplomatic solutions instead of bombing Iran.

Israel could not conduct the attack without U.S. support, which President Trump decided not to give. Instead, Trump wanted a more forceful push toward engagement and diplomacy with Iran surrounding the ongoing contentious issue of nuclear development.

NEW YORK TIMES – Israel had planned to strike Iranian nuclear sites as soon as next month but was waved off by President Trump in recent weeks in favor of negotiating a deal with Tehran to limit its nuclear program, according to administration officials and others briefed on the discussions.

Mr. Trump made his decision after months of internal debate over whether to pursue diplomacy or support Israel in seeking to set back Iran’s ability to build a bomb, at a time when Iran has been weakened militarily and economically.

The debate highlighted fault lines between historically hawkish American cabinet officials and other aides more skeptical that a military assaulton Iran could destroy the country’s nuclear ambitions and avoid a larger war. It resulted in a rough consensus, for now, against military action, with Iran signaling a willingness to negotiate.

Israeli officials had recently developed plans to attack Iranian nuclear sites in May. They were prepared to carry them out, and at times were optimistic that the United States would sign off. The goal of the proposals, according to officials briefed on them, was to set back Tehran’s ability to develop a nuclear weapon by a year or more.

Almost all of the plans would have required U.S. help not just to defend Israel from Iranian retaliation, but also to ensure that an Israeli attack was successful, making the United States a central part of the attack itself.

For now, Mr. Trump has chosen diplomacy over military action. (Read More)

This is where we need to insert the element that all media generally refuse to associate, Russia.

Iran has reengaged with officials from President Trump’s administration following a letter Trump wrote to the leadership in Iran. President Trump wants Mideast peace; he also wants to avoid the issue of Iran having a nuclear weapon.President Trump views military action as the last possible resort for failed diplomatic and geopolitical efforts.

Israel wants to attack Iran. President Trump wants to support Israel but doesn’t want expanded military conflict that pulls the USA into more Mideast war.

As we see in the continued issues within Ukraine, the CIA supports expanded conflict in both Ukraine and Iran. Israel and the CIA are in alignment. Hence, in our ongoing restaurant analogy, the CIA is the kitchen, and Israel has a table there.

#77 – Pam Bondi Outlines Timeline and History of MS13 Illegal Alien, Kilmar Abrego Garcia

April 17, 2025 | Sundance |

Not since the Sandra Fluke election operation have the intel democrats coordinated so heavily with their media alliesto organize support for a random person within the political/social narrative space, as they have with Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Apparently, thecontrolled U.S. media and their leftist politicians in office are choosing to use Garcia as a 2026 midterm election cry, similar to 2020’s George Floyd. The professional democrat party, their social media warriors/foot soldiers and the aligned propaganda media are all-in to use Kilmar Abrego Garcia as the face of their politics.

Attempting to counter the false narratives that surround the deportation of Garcia, Attorney General Pam Bondi makes her 77th appearance on Fox News to push back. Sean Hannity provides the Fox venue du jour.

The responsibility is accurately applied to Bondi’s effort, considering it was a stealth DOJ Lawfare operative who purposefully wrote in a court filing that Garcia’s deportation was a “mistake.”The failure of Main Justice to catch the Lawfare operation within their ranks, has triggered these media events.

Warren is Nuts, I hope she gets help

Markets will ‘crash’ if Trump can fire Fed’s Powell, Elizabeth Warren warns

PUBLISHED THU, APR 17 2025

KEY POINTS

• Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., warned that U.S. markets will “crash” if Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell can be fired by President Donald Trump.

• Warren, a frequent Powell critic, spoke on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” after Trump griped that the Fed chair’s “termination cannot come fast enough!”

• A senior White House official later told CNBC that Trump’s broadside should not be seen as a threat to fire Powell.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., warned Thursday that U.S. markets will “crash” if Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell can be fired by President Donald Trump.

The comment from Warren, a frequent Powell critic, on CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” came hours after Trump griped that the Fed chair’s “termination cannot come fast enough!”

A senior White House official later told CNBC that Trump’s broadside should not be seen as a threat to fire Powell, and that there are no plans being made to end his term early.

Powell has previously said the president does not have the power to fire him.

“I have tangled with [Powell] on a regular basis about both regulations and interest rates,” Warren acknowledged in her remarks at the New York Stock Exchange.

“But understand this: If Chairman Powell can be fired by the president of the United States, it will crash markets in the United States,” she said.

Warren, the ranking member on the Senate Banking Committee, explained that the “infrastructure” upholding the stock market — and therefore the global economy — is “the idea that the big pieces move independent of the politics.”

If key economic levers are “subject to a president who just wants to wave his magic wand,” then the U.S. will be indistinguishable “from any other two-bit dictatorship around the world,” she said.

Trump has repeatedly singled out Powell by name while urging the U.S. central bank to lower interest rates in hopes of spurring rapid economic growth.

The Fed hiked rates during President Joe Biden’s presidency in order to tamp down the rampant inflation induced by the coronavirus pandemic, but started dialing them back in 2024.

But the Fed under Powell has said it is in no hurry to continue those cuts, pointing to the uncertainty created by Trump’s shape-shifting tariff policies. Powell reiterated that stance Wednesday in a speech at the Economic Club of Chicago, saying the president’s import taxes are “likely to move us further away from our goals.”

In a Truth Social post Thursday morning, Trump slammed Powell as being “always TOO LATE AND WRONG” while defending his wide-ranging tariff plans.

Powell should have lowered rates “long ago, but he should certainly lower them now,” Trump wrote. “Powell’s termination cannot come fast enough!”

Judge finds Google holds illegal online ad tech monopolies

Alphabet’s Google illegally dominated two markets for online advertising technology, a federal judge said on Thursday, dealing another blow to the tech titan in an antitrust case brought by the U.S. U.S.

District Judge Leonie Brinkema in Alexandria, Virginia, ruled thatGoogle unlawfully monopolized marketsfor publisher ad servers and the market for ad exchanges which sit between buyers and sellers. Antitrust enforcers failed to show the company had a monopoly in advertiser ad networks, she wrote.==

The ruling could allow prosecutors to argue for a breakup of Google’s advertising products.

The U.S. Department of Justice has said that Google should have to sell off at least its Google Ad Manager, which includes the company’s publisher ad server and its ad exchange.

Google will now face the possibility of two different U.S. courts ordering it to sell assets or change its business practices.

A judge in Washington will hold a trial next week on theDOJ’s request to make Google sell its Chrome browserand take other measures to end its dominance in online search.

Google has previously explored selling off its ad exchange to appease European antitrust regulators, Reuters reported in September.

Brinkema oversaw a three-week trial last year on claims brought by the DOJ and a coalition of states.Google used classic monopoly-building tactics of eliminating competitors through acquisitions, locking customers in to using its products, and controlling how transactions occurred in the online ad market, prosecutors said at trial.

Google argued the case focused on the past, when the company was still working on making its tools able to connect to competitors’ products.

Prosecutors also ignored competition from technology companies including Amazo and Comcast as digital ad spending shifted to apps and streaming video, Google’s lawyer said.

This is breaking news. Please refresh for updates.

>>22924285, >>22924291 Sharyl Attkisson -How much did Big Pharma spend to try to stop new drug price control initiatives?PN

Remember Trumps Speech in Aug 2020 on Big Pharma and unknown middle men are coming after him for price controls on drug.

He even said if they get Bidan in he’ll claim credit for my price controls drug plan

Bidan did steal credit, and Pharma led the charge for them stealing 2020 election. And remember Pfizer only released the killer vaccine after Joe won.

Trump must have super security nowI hope he has plans for all of them.
