President Trump: If for some reason, one of the two parties [Russia, Ukraine] makes it very difficult [ending war], we're just going to say you're foolish, you are fools, you are horrible people, and we're gonna just take a pass. But hopefully we won't have to do that…I think we have a good chance of solving the problem, however.
President Trump: He's a fake [Van Hollen]. I know him. I know them all. They're all fake, and they have no interest in that prisoner [Abrego Garcia]. That prisoner's record is unbelievably bad…in 2019, Garcia was issued a deportation order. Two separate judges affirmed Garcia was a member of MS-13, which is a gang that may be even worse than Tren de Aragua. They kill people with knives because it's more painful.
President Trump: I'm for stopping Iran, very simply, from having a nuclear weapon. They can't have a nuclear weapon. I want Iran to be great and prosperous, and terrific…they can't have a nuclear weapon, and if they have a nuclear weapon, you''ll all be very unhappy. You'll all be very unhappy, because your life will be in great danger.
LIVE: Police Chase in Los Angeles
Stephen Miller [outside White House] The left has been complicit in the greatest crimes against humanity that we have seen in, God knows how many years, in this country.
Stephen Miller: The sanctuary cities are engaged in multiple criminal violations, harboring, smuggling, inducing, obstructing justice, obstructing official proceedings, and many other crimes. This is something that the Department of Justice is taking a very hard look at. It is my view, the view of this administration, that these cities are engaged in systemic criminal violations, and that they are engaged in a scheme to nullify and obstruct the duly enacted laws of the United States of America.
Van Hollen [press conference]: It's good to be home. Now we need to end the illegal abduction of Kilmar Arbego Garcia, and bring him home too.
[enforcing a deportation order is not illegal, you scumbag]
Van Hollen: The government, in this case, the Trump administration, is asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons, without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order.
[Garcia was an illegal resident, and is now living in his legal country of residence]
Van Hollen says at first, he was stopped by the police and refused visitation with Garcia. Only later was a meeting allowed. President Trump or President Bukele must have come up with the idea of allowing the visit and making Van Hollen look foolish at the last minute.
Van Hollen: I say to the president and the Trump administration, if you want to make claims about Mr. Abrego Garcia and MS-13, you should present them in the court, not over social media.
[it was presented in court years ago, and he was affirmed to be MS-13]
Van Hollen: The Trump administration are flaunting the court order to facilitate his return [Garcia], and the government of El Salvador is complicit in that illegal scheme. So we need to hold both of them accountable.
[who does this idiot think he is?]
Van Hollen suggests people stop traveling to El Salvador, and that companies should reconsider pension fund investment in El Salvador.
