Mass Casualty Event Grande Prairie

On April 24, 2025, Northwestern Polytechnic in Grande Prairie, Alberta, is hosting a mass casualty training event. This exercise will involve more than 100 participants, including students, volunteer actors, and emergency personnel from various agencies such as STARS, the RCMP, Grande Prairie Police Service, local paramedics, and the Grande Prairie Fire Department. The training aims to enhance skills, foster cross-agency collaboration, and improve response outcomes. During the event, residents and passersby may observe emergency vehicles, hear loud noises like sirens, and witness mock rescues and simulated casualties from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
