Tesla’s 71% profit freefall forces Musk’s Doge u-turn
Amidst all the backlash against Tesla, the company has reported a decline in sales and revenue for the first quarter of 2025.

Musk’s involvement with the White House has yielded some results — Tesla’s profit fell by71% and recorded lowest-ever quarterly sales since 2022. As a result, Musk has said that he will start working less with President Donald Trump, perhaps dedicate a day or two. On an investor call, Musk said the work necessary to get the government’s “financial house in order is mostly done. Starting probably next month, May, my time allocation to Doge will drop significantly.”
Ever since Must took over his role in the White House, he has been receiving severe backlash and there have been so many cases of vandalising Tesla dealerships and vehicles in the US.
