Nantes: One dead and three injured after a knife attack at Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides high school

A high school student stabbed at least four students at the Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides private high school in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique). A 15-year-old student was arrested on suspicion of stabbing his classmates around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24. One high school student died.

 

The deceased high school student was the first to be attacked by the 15-year-old. Armed with a knife, he first attacked her on the second floor of the school, then stabbed at least three other students before being restrained by teachers. One of them was seriously injured and his life is in danger.

 

The suspect is a second-year student at this private, chartered high school, which serves 2,000 students from kindergarten to high school. He was previously unknown to the police, but has a depressive profile. The possibility of a dispute with other students is being considered, but no further information is available at this time.

 

The Ministers of the Interior and National Education announced that they would be going there.
