You and I have a rendezvous with destiny.

We'll preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we'll sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.

We will keep in mind and remember that Barry Goldwater has faith in us. He has faith that you and I have the ability and the dignity and the right to make our own decisions and determine our own destiny.

Thank you very much.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

Later today I will be meeting with, of all people, Jeffrey Goldberg, the Editor of The Atlantic, and the person responsible for many fictional stories about me, including the made-up HOAX on “Suckers and Losers” and, SignalGate, something he was somewhat more “successful” with. Jeffrey is bringing with him Michael Scherer and Ashley Parker, not exactly pro-Trump writers, either, to put it mildly! The story they are writing, they have told my representatives, will be entitled, “The Most Consequential President of this Century.” I am doing this interview out of curiosity, and as a competition with myself, just to see if it’s possible for The Atlantic to be “truthful.” Are they capable of writing a fair story on “TRUMP”? The way I look at it, what can be so bad – I WON!

Labour Prison Release Plan

Labour decided to release prisoners early due to prison overcrowding after winning the election in 2024. The first set of early releases under this strategy began in September of that year, when 1,700 offenders were released from prison, reducing the overall prison population to 86,333.

The plan to release prisoners early was one of several options being considered by the Ministry of Justice to address the prison overcrowding crisis.

The newly elected Labour Party was considering early release of certain prisoners after serving just 40% of their sentence, with the aim of tackling prison overcrowding.

This plan was part of a broader strategy to manage the acute crisis in prisons, where jails were expected to become full within the next week or so.

Labour's decision to release prisoners early was a response to the prison overcrowding crisis inherited from the previous government, which had not built enough new prisons to accommodate the growing prison population.
