The amount if swelling is directionally proportional to the time of the injury. Within hours, hasn't had a chance to swell, after two days, will start going down again. So, when was the photo taken in relation to the injury? Im thinking relatively early, those dont look like bruises to me, it looks like blood that has not been cleaned off and there are no sutures in her lac.
