Conspiracy theories have been surging with the sharing of a social media post by Virginia Giuffre saying she was not suicidal.
The US president's son Donald Trump Jr has been among those drawing attention to a haunting online comment by Jeffrey Epstein victim Ms Giuffre.
She died on Friday aged 41, with a family statement saying she had killed herself at her farm home near Perth in Australia.
The tragedy comes after two other young victims of billionaire convicted paedophile Epstein previously died.
There has been focus on a post Ms Giuffre wrote on X, formerly Twitter, in December 2019, in which she wrote: 'I am making it publicy [sic] known that in no way, shape or form am I sucidal [sic].
'I have made this known to my therapist and GP- If something happens to me- in the sake of my family do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me quiteted [sic].'
Donald Trump Jr has now shared the post more widely, including to his 15million followers on Elon Musk-owned X, adding the words: 'This is wild.'
Ms Giuffre was one of the most prominent accusers of convicted sex offenders Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who she said kept her as a sex slave while flying her around the world and offering to their powerful associates 'like a platter of fruit'.
She alleged they trafficked her to the Duke of York when she was 17 and was three times sexually assaulted by him - a claim which Prince Andrew has denied.
The prince reached an out-of-court settlement with her in 2022.
Ms Giuffre won a multi-million pound settlement from Prince Andrew following claims she had been forced to have sex with him three times at the age of 17 when she was trafficked by his friend Epstein.
Andrew has denied her allegations and said he could not recall ever meeting her.
A photograph has been widely shared of them together in a London townhouse, his arm around her bare midriff, and was included in Ms Giuffre's lawsuit against him.
Now, following news of Ms Giuffre's death on Friday, President Trump ally Laura Loomer has pointed to a car crash the Epstein victim was in on March 24 as evidence of a conspiracy against her.
Ms Loomer wrote on X: 'I don’t believe Virginia Giuffre committed suicide. Just like I don’t believe Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. First she gets in a car crash, now they say she killed herself? Sounds like someone wanted her dead.'
Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on Instagram that Ms Giuffre had died by 'suicide' - pointedly putting the word in quotemarks.
The Georgia politician posted: 'The truth needs to come out more matter who is responsible.'
Another of Epstein's victims, Carolyn Adriano, was found dead in a hotel room in May 2023 - having previously given testimony that put Ghislaine Maxwell in prison.
The 36-year-old mother-of-five died from a suspected accidental overdose, police said at the time, though her mother Dorothy Groener called for more information - saying: 'Nobody's giving me any answers.
'This is my daughter, and she deserves justice. She got to a point where she was turning her whole life around.'
That came after another of Epstein's victims, Leigh Patrick, died of a heroin overdose in Palm Beach in Florida, in May 2017, weeks short of turning 30.
She previously told DailyMail.com in an unpublished interview in 2015 about her abuse by Epstein.
Following her death, Ms Patrick's twin Selby said: 'My sister suffered tremendously - and it started with Epstein. Something happened in her when she met him that got her out of control.
'She struggled with addiction since the time she met that guy. She went to rehab several times. She fought hard, but she eventually succumbed to the addiction. We miss her.'
Recent concerns for Ms Giuffre's wellbeing began on March 30, when she shared a photograph of herself from her hospital bed covered in bruises, with her left eye nearly swollen shut.
The photograph showed discoloration to her face and chest, which has been described as severe bruising.
She claimed she had 'four days to live' and that she had kidney failure.
Western Australia Police publicly dismissed the severity of Giuffre's collision, describing it as a 'minor' accident that left no one injured. She was discharged on April 7.
Her family later came out and said she had been on painkillers when she posted to Instagram and believed she was writing on a private social media page.
Weeks after the crash, Ms Giuffre then claimed in April that her husband, Robert, whom she had three children with, was beating her. They had recently split up after 22 years of marriage.
In a statement to People, she said: 'I was able to fight back against Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein who abused and trafficked me. But I was unable to escape the domestic violence in my marriage until recently.
'After my husband's latest physical assault, I can no longer stay silent. Again, I thank everyone for their support. I have faith that justice will prevail.'
Her husband has so far not responded to the allegations.
Ms Giuffre's family confirmed her death in a statement on Friday, writing that she had lost her life to suicide after dealing with being a sex trafficking victim in her teens.
They wrote: 'It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia.
'She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
'Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.'
Her family added that 'the light of her life' were her children Christian, Noah and Emily.
They added: 'It was when she held her newborn daughter in her arms that Virginia realised she had to fight back against those who had abused her and so many others.'
A Western Australia Police Force spokesperson has told the Mail preliminary findings indicated Ms Giuffre's death was 'not suspicious' and that paramedics had provided 'emergency first aid' shortly after arriving at the home.
The force said: 'About 9.50pm Friday 25 April, emergency services received a report a woman had been located unresponsive at a residence in Neergabby.
'Police and St John WA attended and provided emergency first-aid. Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene.
'The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious.'
Epstein killed himself in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving dozens of teenage girls and young women, some as young as 14.
In lawsuits, Ms Giuffre said she was a teenage spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump's Palm Beach club, when she was approached in 2000 by Epstein's girlfriend and later employee Maxwell.
Ms Giuffre said Maxwell hired her as a masseuse for Epstein, but the couple effectively made her a sexual servant, pressuring her into gratifying not only Epstein but his friends and associates.
Originally born in Florida, Ms Giuffre had moved to Australia with her husband Robert in 2019 prior to Epstein being arrested. The couple shared three children.
Prince Andrew, 65, stepped back from frontline royal duties in 2019 following controversy over his former friendship with Epstein.
Andrew, who has previously strenuously denied allegations against him, paid millions a year ago to settle a civil case out of court with Ms Giuffre.
There was no admission of guilt after she accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.
Maxwell was convicted in 2021 on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Ms Giuffre, formerly Roberts, said in a 2015 lawsuit she was made by Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew on three separate occasions when she was 17 - and later, in 2021, she filed a lawsuit against the prince over the alleged encounters.

Dominican Republic deports pregnant women and new mothers back to Haiti
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The United Nations and human rights activists are warning about an increase in pregnant women being deported from the Dominican Republic to Haiti, where they say their lives are being put at risk.
Less than 40% of health centers in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince, remain open as gang violence surges.
Meanwhile, the University Hospital of Mirebalais, which has around 300 beds and is located in Haiti’s central region, has suspended operations, according to a statement Thursday from the U.N.
The U.N. said two other hospitals in that area “face critical shortages, including oxygen and emergency medical kits.”
The two hospitals have treated more than 200 patients for gunshot wounds, strokes, malnutrition and suspected cholera since the Mirebalais hospital closed, according to the U.N.
U.N. spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said that many of those deported “arrive in precarious and highly vulnerable conditions, often without any resources.”
The International Organization for Migration said that it has seen an increase in women deported from the Dominican Republic in recent weeks, along with children and newborns.
It warned they’re being deported to a country “where access to basic services remains severely limited.”
The increase in those deportations comes as the administration of Dominican President Luis Abinader implemented a new measure this week requiring hospital staff to ask patients for their identification, work permits and proof of residence.
The measure is one of more than a dozen announced earlier this month to crack down on migrants living in the Dominican Republic without legal permission, as people in neighboring Haiti flee a surge in gang violence.
On Tuesday, the Dominican Republic’s migration agency arrested 48 pregnant women and 39 others who just gave birth, along with 48 minors. On Wednesday, agents arrested 78 other migrants at hospitals, although the agency didn't provide additional details.
Amnesty International on Thursday called on Abinader’s administration to repeal the measure, saying it “must take concrete action against racial discrimination.”
Haiti and the Dominican Republic share the Caribbean island of Hispaniola.
Abinader visited the shared border on Thursday, telling soldiers that it was “completely unacceptable” to let through any migrants trying to enter the Dominican Republic illegally.
He also dismissed criticism by Amnesty International and called on the rights group to work in Haiti and address its crises.
“My responsibility it to defend the Dominican Republic,” he said.
Overall, the Dominican Republic has expelled more than 180,000 people since October, when it announced mass deportations.
Haiti’s transitional presidential council on Thursday condemned what it said was the violation of human rights of Haitians in the Dominican Republic and called on the government to prioritize bilateral dialogue.

Massive explosion at Iranian port kills 40, injures about 1,000 more
A massive explosion and fire that rocked a port Saturday in southern Iran, purportedly linked to a shipment of a chemical ingredient used to make missile propellant, has killed at least 40 people and injured around 1,000 others, officials said.
Helicopters and aircraft dumped water on the raging fire through the night into Sunday morning at the Shaid Rajaei port. The explosion happened just as Iran and the United States met Saturday in Oman for the third round of negotiations over Tehran's rapidly advancing nuclear program.
While no one in Iran outright suggested that the explosion came from an attack, even Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who led the talks, on Wednesday acknowledged that "our security services are on high alert given past instances of attempted sabotage and assassination operations designed to provoke a legitimate response."
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian visited the site as containers appeared smashed or thrown as if discarded toys.
"We have to find out why it happened," Pezeshkian said during a meeting with officials aired by Iranian state television.
Provincial Gov. Mohammad Ashouri gave the latest death toll on Sunday and declared three days of mourning, Iranian state TV reported.
Pir Hossein Kolivand, head of Iran's Red Crescent society, said that only 190 of about 1,000 injured remained hospitalized on Sunday, according to a statement carried by an Iranian government website. State TV also reported the fire was under control and will be fully extinguished later Sunday. It also said activities have resumed at the port, showing footage of containers of a commercial ship being unloaded.
CBS News partner network BBC News reported that verified videos appeared to show a growing fire prior to the explosion. Social media videos showed black billowing smoke after the blast. Others showed glass blown out of buildings miles away from the epicenter of the explosion.
There were few details on what sparked the blaze just outside of Bandar Abbas, causing other containers to explode, BBC News reported.
Private security firm Ambrey says the port received missile fuel chemical in March. It is part of a shipment of ammonium perchlorate from China by two vessels to Iran, first reported in January by the Financial Times. The fuel was going to be used to replenish Iran's missile stocks, which had been depleted by its direct attacks on Israel during the war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
"The fire was reportedly the result of improper handling of a shipment of solid fuel intended for use in Iranian ballistic missiles," Ambrey said.
In a first reaction Sunday, the spokesman of Iran's defense ministry Gen. Reza Talaeinik, denied reports that missile fuel had been imported through the port.
"No sort of imported and exporting consignment for fuel or military application was (or) is in the site of the port," he told state TV by phone. He called foreign reports on the missile fuel baseless.
Ship-tracking data analyzed by The Associated Press put one of the vessels believed to be carrying the chemical in the vicinity in March, as Ambrey said. Iran hasn't acknowledged taking the shipment.
It's unclear why Iran wouldn't have moved the chemicals from the port, particularly after the Beirut port blast in 2020. That explosion, caused by the ignition of hundreds of tons of highly explosive ammonium nitrate, killed more than 200 people and injured more than 6,000 others. However, Israel did target Iranian missile sites where Tehran uses industrial mixers to create solid fuel.
Social media footage of the explosion on Saturday at Shahid Rajaei saw reddish-hued smoke rising from the fire just before the detonation. That suggests a chemical compound as being involved in the blast.
"Get back get back! Tell the gas (truck) to go!" a man in one video shouted just before the blast. "Tell him to go, it's going to blow up! Oh God, this is blowing up! Everybody evacuate! Get back! Get back!"
On Saturday night, the state-run IRNA news agency said that the Customs Administration of Iran blamed a "stockpile of hazardous goods and chemical materials stored in the port area" for the blast, without elaborating.
Shahid Rajaei has been a target before. A 2020 cyberattack attributed to Israel targeted the port. It came after Israel said that it thwarted a cyberattack targeting its water infrastructure, which it attributed to Iran.
Social media videos showed black billowing smoke after the blast. Others showed glass blown out of buildings kilometers, or miles, away from the epicenter of the explosion. State media footage showed the injured crowding into at least one hospital, with ambulances arriving as medics rushed one person by on a stretcher.
Hasanzadeh, the provincial disaster management official, earlier told state television that the blast came from containers at Shahid Rajaei port in the city, without elaborating. State television also reported that there had been a building collapse caused by the explosion, though no further details were offered.
The Interior Ministry said that it launched an investigation into the blast. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also offered his condolences for those affected by the blast.
Shahid Rajaei port in Hormozgan province is about 650 miles southeast of Iran's capital, Tehran, on the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow mouth of the Persian Gulf through which 20% of all oil traded passes.

Self-proclaimed Hamas operative in US Air Force indicted over pipe bomb plot: ‘Been a terrorist since I was a kid’
A self-described Hamas operative who infiltrated the US Air Force and once boasted that he’s “been a terrorist since he’s been a kid” was hit with additional charges this week alongside two Pittsburgh women after the feds foiled an apparent terror plot involving a pair of pipe bombs.
Mohamad Hamad, 23, who has dual citizenship in the US and Lebanon, was already charged for defacing a synagogue was hit Tuesday with a nine-count superseding indictment along with Talya Lubit, 24, and Micaiah Collins, 22.
“Mohamad Hamad lied about his loyalty to the United States, among other false statements, in an attempt to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance,” Acting US Attorney Troy Rivetti said.
“During that time, he openly expressed support for Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Hamas. In addition to his previously charged role in defacing Jewish religious property, he also conspired with others named in this Superseding Indictment to manufacture and detonate destructive devices.”
Hamad and Lubit, were both previously indicted for scrawling red anti-Zionist graffiti on the Chabad of Squirrel Hill’s synagogue and defacing the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s office building.
The new charges center around Hamad’s alleged lying to federal officials during his bid to gain a top-secret security clearance and his development of explosive devices.
Shortly after enlisting in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, a reserve component of the Air Force, in June 2023, Hamad, who lived in Coraopolis, Pa., privately messaged an associate in Ohio that “[i]t’s still Palestine on top though make no mistake,” prosecutors allege.
During his Air Force training, Hamad privately shared footage of Hamas’ violent attacks against Israel with an associate and wrote that “Us Muslims never surrender or back down,” the indictment claims.
In December of 2023, Hamad completed the paperwork to obtain a top-secret security clearance and later had three interviews and a background check with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, during which he allegedly lied about his loyalty to the US.
“Been a terrorist since I was a kid in Lebanon, real s–t,” Hamad wrote in a June 2024 Signal message to Collins alongside a photo of him as a child holding up a gun, prosecutors said.
Around that time, Hamad and Collins conspired to develop a “destructive device” and detonated a prototype, while musing over the damage it could do.
“That s–t was a blast,” Hamad wrote in a July 7, 2024 message to Collins per prosecutors.
Hamad later built two pipe bombs and additional “destructive devices” before detonating them as well.
Following the initial test explosion, Hamad proudly declared himself a “Hamas operative” in private messages and mused about the “terror” residents may have felt if they saw him dressed in a mask while ripping up Israeli flags in “white suburbia,” the indictment alleges.
On Instagram, Hamad paid homage to Hamas leaders, writing, “Without these men our resistance would be 100 years behind.”
Prosecutors did not divulge any specific plot Hamad may have had with the explosive devices.
Later that July, he and Lubit scrawled red “Jews 4 Palestine” graffiti on Chabad of Squirrel Hill and “Funds Genocide Jews, Hate Zionists” on the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh’s office building.
“I can literally feel myself starting to see Jews as my enemies,” Lubit wrote in a message to Hamad that July.
“Like, I’m ANGRY. I’m so tired of feeling like being Jewish means I have to second guess being anti oppression,” she said in another message. “
I will not survive being Jewish if I don’t learn to get past that. I’ll just end up abandoning it.”
Lubit also allegedly helped Hamad identify Jewish buildings in the area to target.
Authorities ultimately traced the graffiti back to Hamad and later uncovered his development of pipe bombs and other explosive devices, according to the FBI.
“We always rely on tips from the public,” a spokesperson told The Post. “This really started with the vandalism to the religious institutions here … determining the suspects in that and determining what their motivations were for the fairly strict criteria for a federal hate crime.”
Both Hamad and Lubit have a history of supporting “Squad” reps in Congress.
Hamad gave $10 to Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) in 2023 after she publicly pushed for a ceasefire shortly after Hamas’ deadly Oct. 7, 2023, surprise attack against Israel.
He also gave $5 to Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) last year after she was censured by Congress for calling Israel an “apartheid government” and defending the Palestinian “resistance.”
Lubit joined over 130 Jews in signing a letter defending Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.), who pushed for a ceasefire less than two weeks after the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.
Hamad is facing charges for making false statements, possession of destructive devices, conspiracy, defacing and damaging a religious building, the Justice Department announced Wednesday.
If convicted, he could get sentenced to up to 10 years behind bars and get hit with up to $250,000 in fines.
Collins is also facing charges of conspiracy, which entails up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Lubit is facing charges for conspiracy and defacing and damaging a religious building, which includes up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.
“The FBI and our partners are committed to investigating and prosecuting individuals who reportedly choose to lie about being loyal to this country and instead engage in dangerous, menacing, and illegal activities,” FBI Pittsburgh Special Agent in Charge Kevin Rojek said in a statement.

aw enforcement authorities on Sunday arrested a second individual in South Florida connected to the theft of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s purse, according to two sources familiar with the situation.
“This second offender is implicated in a pattern of thefts and robberies with the primary defendant who is accused of the robbery of the Secretary. He was taken into custody earlier today with critical assistance from the Miami Beach, Florida police department and immigration and customs enforcement,” a Secret Service spokesperson said.
The second suspect, according to U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin, is also in the country illegally. The person was charged with driver’s license/possession of stolen or fictitious identification, Miami Beach police said, which is a state violation.
NBC News confirmed the name of that first suspect involved in the case, Mario E. Bustamante Leiva, a 49-year-old Chilean national.
Martin told NBC News that Bustamante Leiva, who was arrested Saturday, is also in the country illegally.
It is not believed Bustamante Leiva targeted Noem because she was the Department of Homeland Security chief, Martin said.
“There is no indication it was because of that. It was frankly, it was a nice looking purse,” Martin said in a recorded telephone interview.
In the call, Martin said Immigration and Customs Enforcement is now involved.
“President Trump’s direction to us is we charge these folks that are here illegally and we prosecute them, as well as deport them when need be, you know, as soon as that can happen,” Martin said, adding: “What I can tell you is he won’t be back on the streets in America.”
The person who took the bag knew what he was doing, Martin said.
“This was not an amateur. This was a person, a thief, that knew how to do this. You could see how he scouted the room out.”
Matt McCool, an United States Secret Service official overseeing the agency's Washington field office, alleged Bustamante Leiva is a "serial offender."
"The investigation revealed alleged criminal activity, including potential device and credit card fraud," McCool said in a statement. "Given this, the Secret Service will maintain jurisdiction over the case and intends to present its findings to a federal court in coordination with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia."
The Metropolitan Police Department and United States Secret Service announced in a joint statement on Sunday that Bustamante Leiva has been charged with two counts of robbery, related to two alleged incidents predating Noem's bag theft.
In each case, "a suspect approached the victim as they ate in a restaurant, stole their purse from the back of their seat, and fled the scene," the statement read, adding, "Leiva faces additional charges for an offense being investigated by the United States Secret Service."
As DHS secretary, Noem receives Secret Service protection.
When asked for comment from the U.S. Secret Service agent that was providing protection for Noem, agency spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said, “For the safety of our agents and officers, we are not in a position to confirm or comment at this time. Should criminal charges be filed, the Department of Homeland Security will provide public information in accordance with established procedures.”
Noem’s purse was stolen when a masked man walked into Capital Burger, a restaurant in D.C., last Sunday night. The man passed two plainclothes Secret Service officers who were sitting at the bar on his way to her table, which was upstairs.
He then sat down next to Noem’s table, where she was eating with her family, and put his foot on her purse to drag it toward himself, according to two sources familiar who viewed the surveillance footage. Then, he swiftly picked it up, tucked it under his jacket and walked out, passing the protection agents on his way out.
Noem’s purse contained $3,000 cash, as well as her DHS access badge, her passport, various credit cards, blank checks, a set of keys and her driver’s license.
NBC News asked Noem about the situation on Monday at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She said she couldn’t provide a comment or details.
“I don’t think I can comment on it yet,” she said. “It’s not resolved yet.”

Judge blocks Trump election order despite 83 percent of Americans supporting ‘citizenship requirement’
A federal judge in Washington, D.C., blocked a portion of President Donald Trump’s executive order on election integrity that is popular among Americans, according to a Gallup poll.
The portion of the order that Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia struck down included provisions related to requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote.
Less than two weeks before the 2024 election, Gallup found that 84% of U.S. adults were in favor of requiring voters to show identification and 83% supported requiring proof of citizenship when registering for the first time.
When broken down by party, 67% of Democrats, 84% of Independents and 98% of Republicans were in favor of mandating voter ID. The party breakdown over proof of citizenship was similar, with 66% of Democrats, 84% of Independents and 96% of Republicans supporting the idea.
Kollar-Kotelly, however, argued that Trump did not have the authority to issue such an order, as the Constitution delegates control of election regulations to Congress and states.
"Consistent with that allocation of power, Congress is currently debating legislation that would affect many of the changes the President purports to order," Kollar-Kotelly, a Clinton appointee, wrote in her order. "No statutory delegation of authority to the Executive Branch permits the President to short-circuit Congress’s deliberative process by executive order."
Earlier this month, the House passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require states to obtain proof of citizenship for those registering to vote in a federal election. Additionally, the act mandates that all non-citizens be removed from voter rolls. The Senate still needs to pass the measure before it can reach Trump’s desk.
Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, who sponsored the bill in the House, wrote, "In order to preserve this republic, we must uphold what it means to be able to vote in a U.S. election. I am grateful that my colleagues answered the call and passed the SAVE Act, as this serves as a critical first step to ensure that we maintain election integrity throughout our country."
So far in 2025, five states have enacted voter ID requirements, and one has mandated proof of citizenship for registration, according to Voting Rights Lab. Additionally, 25 states are considering bills that would mandate proof of citizenship, while 40 are mulling legislation requiring voter ID.
