President Trump, stay out of our election. The only people who will decide the future of Canada are Canadians at the ballot box.

Canada will always be proud, sovereign and independent and we will NEVER be the 51st state.

Today Canadians can vote for change so we can strengthen our country, stand on our own two feet and stand up to America from a position of strength.

Harris to criticize Trump in first major address since leaving office

(What else is new?)

by Alex Gangitano - 04/28/25 8:36 AM ET

Former Vice President Kamala Harris will jab at President Trump in the keynote address at the Emerge gala on Wednesday, making her first public remarks since leaving office in January, a source told The Hill.

In her remarks, the former vice president, who lost to Trump in November, is expected to offer pointed criticism of the administration, the source said.

Harris is also expected to honor the organization for its role empowering women in politics and issue a call to action to combat Trump’s economic policies and his push to overhaul the federal government.

Emerge, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the gala, is an organization that helps recruit and train Democratic women to run for office. Harris worked with the Emerge co-founder Andrea Dew Steele on her run for district attorney of San Francisco in 2003.

Harris earlier this month made a surprise appearance at a leadership summit for Black women in California and told the crowd, “I’m not going anywhere.” She also signed on with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the entertainment firm, earlier this year.

Speculation has swirled surrounding whether Harris is mulling a run for California governor in 2026, and she is expected to make a formal decision by the end of the summer. Early polling has shown that if Harris was to launch a bid, she would be the Democratic front-runner. The former vice president nabbed nearly 6 in 10 likely primary voters in a February survey from Emerson College Polling/Inside California Politics/The Hill. (The LEFT are determined to get her elected to something.)

Trump’s flirtation with millionaire tax increase gets strong pushback from the right

by Alexander Bolton - 04/28/25 6:00 AM ET

President Trump is getting heat from his right flank for declaring he loves the concept of a millionaires’ tax increase even though he says he knows it would be used against him politically.

Trump made the declaration in an interview with Time magazine and then quickly distanced himself from the proposal to raise the marginal tax rate for people earning more than 1 million dollars per year.

But the president’s warm embrace of “the concept” of raising taxes on millionaires is causing an uproar among traditional conservatives and business groups even while some Trump allies on Capitol Hill say they’re open to it as long as Trump is on board.

Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, a prominent conservative leader, said Senate and House Republicans have been telling Trump “this is a really bad idea.”

“This idea is dead,” he declared. “It ain’t happening.”

Norquist said that while Trump may have said he loves the concept of raising taxes on the wealthy, he’s come to his senses and realizes that doing so would be “political death” as it was for former President George H.W. Bush, who lost his 1992 reelection after breaking his pledge, “Read my lips: No new taxes.”

“This is the dumbest idea that I’ve ever heard,” Norquist said. “It’s never going to be in the reconciliation package,” referring to the budget bill that will be used to enact Trump’s legislative agenda.

Norquist said Trump is on the record repeatedly saying he would support tax cuts for all Americans, the wealthy included, a position strongly supported by the overwhelming majority of GOP senators.

“Do you know how many times he’s on video saying we’re going to have a tax cut for every single American, upper class, middle class?” he said. “And how many times on tape he vilified Kamala Harris” for wanting to raise taxes on upper-income Americans and small businesses?

Yet Trump appeared to pivot on the issue when asked by Time about “some Republicans” who are “considering raising taxes on millionaires.”

“I certainly don’t mind having a tax increase, and the only reason I wouldn’t support it is because I saw Bush where they said, where he said, ‘Read my lips,’ and he lost an election,” Trump told the magazine.

Trump dismissed the argument that he would be raising taxes if he increased the tax rate on the wealthy to give more tax relief to the millions of working-class Americans who voted for him.

“I’d be raising them on wealthy to take care of middle class. And that’s — I love, that. I actually love the concept, but I don’t want it to be used against me politically, because I’ve seen people lose elections for less, especially with the fake news,” he said.

A Republican strategist and former senior congressional aide said Trump’s comments sparked alarm on the right.

“The more institutional conservative groups are losing their minds, but I have also talked to a number of conservative House members who are not opposed to it and in fact would be fine with it as long as it’s paired with House-level spending cuts and Medicaid reform. They’re willing to do it,” the strategist said.

Trump made his comments to Time in an interview Tuesday but then backpedaled when asked about the idea Wednesday….

NEW: Just two weeks ago, Harvard partnered with a Chinese Communist Party influence group.

Thegroup has been flagged by the US government for subverting institutionsto “take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing’s preferred policies.”

The group -the China United States Exchange Foundation - part of CCP’s United Front Work Department, which seeks “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party.”

The State Department also compares the United Front to theChinese regime’s “magic weapon” to advance its preferred policies by infiltrating academia.

Despite these ties,CUSEF sponsored the recent 28th Harvard College China Forum.

James Chau, President of CUSEF, even spoke: “The modern story of US -China relations was about table tennis, was about two people who bumped into each other on a team bus at the world table tennis championships and from that went on to help shatter the silence that these two countries had endured for a couple of decades. It wasn't politicians, it wasn't diplomats, it wasn't traditional established leadership, it was two people who played sports, two people who represent culture.”

George Floyd’s coffin vs Pope Francis: We live in a very weird clown world…April 28, 2025 (4 hours ago)

You don’t need a PhD to see that we’re living in a completely upside-down clown world. Criminals are treated like kings, and real leaders are treated like nobodies. You want proof? Look no further than the coffins of George Floyd and Pope Francis.

George Floyd — a convicted felon, violent criminal, drug addict, and career criminal — was sent off in a gleaming gold casket, treated like royalty by the same political elites that now openly celebrate thugs like Michael Brown and even MS-13 gangbangers.

We’ve covered this bizarre phenomenon where Dems turn common thugs into civil rights heroes.

Revolver:

A US senator goes to El Salvador to sip cocktails with a known MS-13 gang member—and somehow, this isn’t front-page news in a negative way?

Welcome to the upside-down world of themodern Dem Party, where they ignore victims, glorify criminals, and treat violent illegals like misunderstood heroes.

Now, the left is actually defending Kilmar Garcia—a confirmed MS-13 gang member who was in the US illegally and just got deported back to his home country of El Salvador. They’re trying to gaslight the public into believing he was mistakenly removed and that he’s just a loving husband who got caught in some kind of mix-up.It’s not just absurd—it’s insulting.

We wish it were a joke, but Senator Chris Van Hollen actually used taxpayer money to fly to El Salvador—to check on an MS-13 gangbanger. Yep, he sure did…

Keep in mind, these are the politicians who refuse to stand and clap for a black child with cancer—but they’ll happily burn taxpayer dollars to go have some creepy Happy Hour with MS-13 gangbangers. It’s disgusting beyond words.

The Dem Party is so far gone, Magellan couldn’t chart them a course back to decency.

Take a look at this photo: a US senator hanging out with a confirmed MS-13 gangbanger. Dressing him up in a plaid shirt doesn’t change a thing—he’s still a bloodthirsty thug. CNN’s Scott Jennings put it best:The American left falls in love with the worst people.

Floyd went out with a glitzy bang, and Pope Francis – the leader of the Catholic Church – left this world rather humbly, in a simple wooden box.

You really can’t make this stuff up.

The truth is, Floyd wasn’t some innocent “gentle giant” murdered in cold blood by a racist cop. According to his own autopsy, he died of a drug overdose after trying to pass counterfeit money and resisting arrest.

If you believe the official autopsy, there was never a murder, and Officer Chauvin is rotting in jail for no reason.

There’s a growing movement of Americans who believe Derek Chauvin should be free — and will be, eventually.

But the facts don’t matter to the media, political leaders, and left-wing mobs who relentlessly pushed the “systemic racism” hoax with a vengeance — not because they believed it, but because they knew it was a powerful weapon to divide and conquer America from the inside out, and sadly, it worked.

Now, even in death, this bizarre contrast between reality and insanity is on full display. Ornate gold for the career criminal. Simple wood for the Pope.Welcome to clown world. Honk, honk.

However, we shouldn’t feel too bad for Pope Francis; after all, he did help perpetuate The Great George Floyd Hoax. In a world where cruelty, crime, and violence are celebrated and treated like royalty, it’s no wonder young, impressionable minds are being led down a dark and destructive path.

Rest in peace, Pope Francis. We can only hope the next leader of the Church will be a strong conservative who is committed to upholding the true traditions of the Catholic faith.

Gay ex-FBI agent who ‘battled’ J6ers comes outta the closet with big news….April 25, 2025 (3 days ago)

The FBI used to be respected. Now it’s a punchline.

And honestly, guys like John Sullivan are exactly why. This is a man who spent 17 years working for a corrupt, politicized agency, proudly pushing the same tired propaganda that’s destroyed public trust in law enforcement.

And now, after “serving in secret,” he’s stepping out of the shadows to run for Congress—complete with a dramatic video where he casts himself as some kind of homosexual Marvel-style hero who battled Russia, terrorists, drug cartels, and yes… the so-called insurrectionists of January 6.

Never mind the facts, right?

Never mind that the FBI and Supreme Court both agreed there was no insurrection on January 6. That doesn’t matter to John…

Look: Straka tweet

What matters is playing his role, virtue-signaling to the TDS-riddled left, and turning a failed federal career into a cringey campaign ad.

Let’s be real: Americans are fed up. The FBI is no longer the tough, no-nonsense agency we once trusted. It’s been hijacked by political hacks and activist clowns who think their job is to save the world from Trump voters, and the American people don’t trust them.

Look at this poll from just two years ago: Julie Kelly tweet

Here’s a close-up of the image: chart

And John Sullivan isn’t an exception to this rotten record—he’s the face of what the Bureau has become.

Now, he wants to bring that same propaganda/weaponized energy to Congress. Take a look at his ridiculous campaign clip and decide for yourself.

Watch: https://x.com/FBI_Sullivan/status/1914639209153093778

The last thing America needs is another fed using DC as his personal performance stage. We’ve already seen what happens when the FBI plays politics—now they want to bring that same weaponized mindset to Congress. Sorry, but we’ve had enough lies, propaganda, and slippery spin to last a lifetime. The American people deserve real leadership, not more deep-state drama.

We’ll leave you with this meme—it feels pretty fitting after watching John’s little campaign audition.

Numbers show no mass deportation of migrants, despite Trump immigration crackdown

(Mass deportations should be done to Media Servicesespecially those with gigantic teeth. I guess they didn't notice the opposition from the Courts)

As the 100 day mark approaches, the Trump administration is not on pace to deport millions of immigrants as promised.

Are the Trump administration actions on immigration living up to campaign promises? (They called for NO Mass Deportation, now they want Mass Deportation, FUCK OFF)

By: Patrick Terpstra Apr 28, 2025

A pledge to deport millions of undocumented immigrants helped propel President Donald Trump back to the White House.

"It's going to be called a Trump mass deportation," Trump said during a campaign rally on Aug. 12, 2024. "We will begin the largest deportation operation in American history."

He appointed a border czar, Tom Homan, to increase expulsions.

"I will run the biggest deportation operation the country has ever seen," said Homan, a week after Trump won the election.

The Trump administration has embraced a shock and awe approach to immigration enforcement designed for maximum publicity. The homeland security secretary has attended and posted video of early morning arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Trump has deployed more armed forces to the border and used military planes to ferry away immigrants. He has also sent alleged Venezuelan gang members to a terrorism prison in El Salvador before they could have a day in court.

But federal data shows there has not been a significant jump in immigrants deported since Trump took office. Mass deportations have not occurred. The numbers show removals are lagging behind levels during the Biden administration.

"Frankly I was shocked," said Sue Long, co-founder of the nonpartisan Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse that tracks immigration statistics at Syracuse University.

Early on the Trump administration touted the number of daily immigration arrests but has never shared detailed deportation figures.

Long was able to calculate recent deportation figures using a cumulative number deep inside a spreadsheet ICE is required by law to keep updated for Congress.

"They're lower," Long said. "Their daily average is simply 10 percent lower."

The White House told Scripps News that because border crossings are down, so are deportations. It is an argument Homan also makes.

"We're down border crossings 96 percent, so we don't have millions of people coming across the border," Homan told reporters at the White House. "Just to compare our removal numbers to (Biden's) is just ridiculous."

Homan also told the New York Times, "We need to increase the arrests … They're not high enough." There are still an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in the country.

Homan says more funding from Congress would boost immigration enforcement efforts. Costs are high to arrange and transport individuals out of the U.S. to their home countries. Logistics are another challenge, as countries must agree to receive deported immigrants.

Trump says Hegseth’s ‘gonna get it together’

by Alex Gangitano - 04/28/25 10:27 AM ET

President Trump says that he thinks Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will “get it together” as the Pentagon chief faces mounting scrutiny of his leadership.

In an interview with The Atlantic, Trump was asked about the turmoil around Hegseth and reporting that he ordered a makeup room to be set up at the Defense Department.

“I think he’s gonna get it together,” Trump said. “I had a talk with him, a positive talk, but I had a talk with him.”

Hegseth has denied that he ordered a makeup room after details emerged about a green room in the Pentagon being refurbished, calling it a “totally fake story” and said changes in the green room were “furniture modifications.”

The secretary has been at the center of controversy around his usage of the Signal messaging app and over his management of the Defense department. The New York Times recently reported that sensitive military plans were disclosed by Hegseth in a Signal chat featuring his wife, brother and lawyer.

That echoed a prior Signal chat controversy sparked by Hegseth sharing plans for a strike on the Houthis in Yemen with several top Trump administration officials. National security adviser Mike Waltz had inadvertently added The Atlantic Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg to the chat, which Hegseth and the White House has argued didn’t include any classified information.

In The Atlantic interview, Trump also said he told his staff, “Maybe don’t use Signal, OK?”

Trump also said that Waltz was “fine” despite being “beat up” for accidentally adding Goldberg to the chat.

President Trump Wishes “Good Luck” to the Captives of Canada for a Happy Election Day April 28, 2025 | Sundance | 1/2

If you never followed how President Obama constructed and influenced the rise of Justin Trudeau in Canada, then it might seem perplexing when President Donald Trump stands generally ambivalent to the outcome of today’s election in Canada.

When asked about the election in Canada President Trump previously said, “I don’t care. I think it’s easier to deal, actually, with a liberal and maybe they’re going to win, but I don’t really care.

The core of President Trump’s positionstems from the economic issues that have been present for decades. Leading candidate Mark Carney, who had not lived in Canada for the past 10-years until his installation, has said he is prepared to guide Canada into an alignment with the European Union.

As Secretary of State Marco Rubio outlined, previous Prime Minister JustinTrudeau traveled to Mar-a-Lago and said if President Trump was to make the Canadian government pay reciprocal tariffs, open the USMCA trade agreements to force reciprocity, and/or balance economic relations on non-tariff issues, then Canada would collapse upon itself economically and cease to exist.

In essence,Canada cannot surviveas a free and independent north American nation, without receiving all the one-way benefits from the U.S. economy. To wit, President Trump then said, if Canada cannot survive in a balanced rules environment, including putting together their own military and defenses (which it cannot), then Canada should become the 51st U.S state.

The Canadian Mitt Romney “conservative”, Mark Carney’s closest competitor, Pierre Poilievre, is also very upset at President Trump.

As the majority of Canadians cheer, both Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre said that Canada as a free independent and sovereign nation will now embrace its connections to theUnited Kingdom and European Unionand seek to replace their national dependency on the United States by severing ties in North America and entering a new era of close relations with Great Britain and Europe.

When questioned if Canada would join the European Union, a seemingly natural fit for the ideologically aligned country, Prime Minister Carney said, “nothing is off the table.”

In a rather remarkable end to the confrontation, the Carney says the economic and military ties between the USA and Canada are officially declared severed. (So does that mean our Air Force doesn’t have to fly over and protect Canada every day of every year, that’s where most of America’s subsidies are from, how weird to make a decision like that; unless Carney will let China protect Canada, YES, they could be that stupid.)

Structurally from an American economic perspective, the lens through which President Trump is primarily focused,it really doesn’t matter which of the leading Canadian politicians wins the election. The financial dependency on the USA is going to be severed.

President Trump hits Canada with an approximately 50% tariff. Let’s say an import widget from Canada costs the purchaser/importer $100 CAD + 50% tariff, now $150 CAD.

$1 CAD = 0.70¢ USD

Without U.S. tariff, it costs $70 USD to purchase the $100 CAD widget.

>>22966045

2/2

With the U.S tariff it would take $105 USD to purchase $150 Canadian widget

However, due to economic policy,Canada’s dependence on the USA market and the tariff battle, the Canadian currency drops around 30%. $1 CAD now equals 0.50¢ USD

With currency drop it now costs $50 USD to purchase the original $100 Canadian widget. $75 USD with tariff.

BEFORE: $70 USD without U.S. tariff, or AFTER: $75 USD with 50% U.S. tariff. A net change of $5.

But wait, back to Mark Carney’s plan. As stated in his tariff policy, the prime minister will take income from the Canadian side of the tariff equation (countervailing duties) to subsidize the impacted export sector. Just like China and the EU did in ’17, ’18 and ’19, the Canadian government plans to offset the difference to the U.S. consumer by subsidizing the exporter with import tariff income. All of this is done to retain access to USA consumers.

The final outcome, the U.S. purchaser is back to the original price of $70, only now that same outcome is evident with an invisible $50 tariff.

This is what China tried to do. This is what the EU tried to do. This is what Canada is now planning to do to retain access to the U.S. market while they look for alternatives.

But wait, it gets better….

….. As the Canadian financial sector evaluates the likely drop in the CAD currency, they seek safe harbor investment to retain the value of their money. The reciprocal tariffs are hitting every currency. The Canadian finance sector purchases dollar and dollar-backed assets to retain their value. This approach increases the value of the U.S dollar.(Do any of these leaders actually know this and they are hiding the downfall coming to Canada just to break ties with the US, there's got to be economists up there, screaming don't do this.)

Do you really think President Trump gives a hoot about PM Carney’s feelings?Quite frankly, Trump would not want to be bothered by Canada while he is working on a much, much bigger geopolitical economic dynamic.

Go back and reference the renegotiation of the NAFTA for reference.

President Trump didn’t care if Canada (Trudeau/Freeland) agreed or did not agree with the USMCA.Trump was quite willing, heck he was hoping, to just deal with Canada on a bilateral trade system.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/04/28/president-trump-wishes-good-luck-to-the-captives-of-canada-for-a-happy-election-day/

I don’t understand most of this, but it means Canada has permanently screwed themselves and the USA makes out better. That’s why some of the provinces will separate and join the USA, according to Frie on Bannon this a.m. There’s NO way that the EU or UK will come to Canada's aid when they are economically failing. Most European countries are almost bankrupt and hiding a lot of economic problems.

Frei: “If The Liberals Win A Majority Government I Predict It Will Lead To The Break Up Of Canada.”

It's funny the German people seem to never realize their mistake before voting, they do the same thing for every cycle. It's like Canada now, they are thoroughly brainwashed by the liars, most hated Trudeau by the end, but that was a very time to support him, so they will now vote for the the worst on either side. How Carney that never lived there got to the top, is beyond comprehension.

UPDATED: Super Hornet Assigned to USS Harry S. Truman Lost at Sea

Sam LaGrone

USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) on April 15, 2025. US Navy Photo

An F/-18E Super Hornet assigned to the carrier air wing embarked aboard aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) was lost at sea during a towing incident in the hangar bay Monday, according to a Navy announcement.

The single-seat Super Hornet assigned to the “Knight Hawks” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136, “was actively under tow in the hangar bay when the move crew lost control of the aircraft. The aircraft and tow tractor were lost overboard,” reads the statement.

“Sailors towing the aircraft took immediate action to move clear of the aircraft before it fell overboard. An investigation is underway.”

No personnel were lost and one sailor sustained minor injuries, according to the service.

Truman was conducting an “evasive maneuver” during the incident, a U.S. defense official confirmed to USNI News on Monday. A second defense official told USNI News the Super Hornet was being loaded onto the aircraft elevator on Truman when the strike fighter slid over the edge.

U.S. ships in the Red Sea are daily targets of Houthi one-way attack drones and cruise and ballistic missiles since U.S. strikes against targets in Yemen resumed on March 15.

Since March 15, Carrier Air Wing 1 flying from Truman has been engaged in ongoing strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen as part of Operation Rough Rider, according to U.S. Central Command. The carrier has been operating in the Red Sea since late February after emergency repairs following a collision with a merchant vessel. The collision resulted in the removal of Truman’s then commander. Late last year, Truman escort USS Gettysburg (CG-64) shot down an F/A-18F assigned to Carrier Air Wing 1 during an attempted landing on the carrier.

The following is the complete April 28, 2025, statement from the Navy.

MANAMA, Bahrain – USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) lost an F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 136 and a tow tractor as the aircraft carrier operated in the Red Sea, April 28. All personnel are accounted for, with one Sailor sustaining a minor injury.

The F/A-18E was actively under tow in the hangar bay when the move crew lost control of the aircraft. The aircraft and tow tractor were lost overboard.

Sailors towing the aircraft took immediate action to move clear of the aircraft before it fell overboard. An investigation is underway.

The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group and embarked air wing remain fully mission capable.

The strike group consists of flagship Harry S. Truman, the nine squadrons of Carrier Air Wing 1, three guided-missile destroyers of Destroyer Squadron 28, and the Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64).

(What to Hellis going on with the Military accidents in all services, are they being attacked electronically? Something has accelerated accidents. They have seemed to have lost a lot of jets, planes and boats in the last couple of years.)

The US Navy and Boeing originally negotiated a similar contract in prior years, but they tabled those talks in 2023 because numbers weren't lining up. The Navy wanted to put $1.15 billion toward 20 F/A-18E/F, but according to USNI News, Boeing calculated the costs rising closer to the price of the fifth generation F-35 Lightning II.Anyone who knows the astronomical cost of the F-35–$102.1 million–knows that's an insane price tag for a plane not nearly as advanced. However, that sounds like the real price tag is close to the aforementioned inflated $72 billion number.(2024 article)

Analyzing the scale of Trump’s federal layoffs in his first 100 days

By Annette Choi and Danya Gainor, CNN (CNN Panicking in because all of those or most were leakers and infiltrators to the government to take down Trump, pearl clutchers. Pathetic CNN and advisors without names.)

Nearly 100 days. Wide-ranging and chaotic firings across at least 30 agencies.

At least 121,000 federal workers (out of 6 million+) have been fired or laid off in the three months since President Donald Trump’s second term began, according to a CNN analysis of official statements, internal memos from government officials and news reports. It’s a vast number that doesn’t count those placed on administrative leave or who took voluntary buyouts.

The fallout of the sweeping layoffs has already had a ripple effect across the country andraised questions about the government’s capacity to meet public needs when it comes to education, healthcare, transportation and public safety, expertstold CNN. The threats to essential services that Americans depend on have sparked concerns about the future, with a recent CNN poll showing more than half of US adults expect cuts to federal programs to hurt their families and the economy. (BULLSHIT)

Federal layoffs, which surged in February and tapered down in March and April, surpassed layoffs in any other industry in 2025 so far. While most of the targeted agencies saw reductions of under 10%, others like the Department of Education or Agency for International Development were gutted, according to CNN’s analysis.

One in 14 federal employees at impacted agencies were fired, according to CNN’s analysis. Not all agencies have felt the impact of layoffs equally, though.

By sheer total, the Department of Veterans Affairs has plans for the largest reduction in force — at least 70,000 people — which accounts for nearly 15% of total staff. The VA is the second-largest federal department, following the Department of Defense, and is responsible for providing services like health care to veterans and their families.

No agency has been targeted quite like USAID. After months of cuts, the State Department announced that the agency was officially closing its doors. Countries around the world that relied on the agency for programs to fight starvation and address human and drug trafficking are already feeling the impact. (BULLSHIT AGAIN)

CNN also found that federal government layoffs outpaced any other US industry — including in retail and technology — in the first quarter of 2025.

CNN’s analysis suggests at least 121,000 federal employees have been laid off so far this year, however, that number could be even higher, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc., a global outplacement and executive coaching firm.

While the full scope of federal workforce cuts under the new administrationis uncertain, the long-term effects of the downsizing efforts that have already taken place, on both services and the people they serve, will be felt for years to come. (So they are just fear mongering again.)

Methodology | CNN talked to federal agencies and impacted workers directly, analyzed dozens of statements and internal memos from government officials and evaluated additional reporting from The Associated Press, NPR, Politico, The New York Times, ABC News and Reuters to determine the approximate number of workers impacted from federal departments and agencies. These numbers are subject to change based on updated figures from government officials and various media reports, and in some instances, include announced firings or reports of announced firings. For this project, CNN is not tracking federal workers who are reinstated after their initial job impacts and is not tracking those placed on administrative leave or those who take voluntary buyouts.
