i'm related to a couple of them
and frens with several others
a few are heroes even
i also know a few that are a disgrace to the human race, not to mention the uniform
you mentioned in a reply to another anon that you wondered if he had ever had to face a life or death situation
sounds like you think cops are the only ones who do
i'd just remind you that you chose to be in law enforcement
and further remind you that you were hired to make the streets safe for civilians, NOT cops
that INCLUDES the civilians you are arresting
who are by definition INNOCENT until convicted by a jury of their peers
danger is part of the job and you knew that full well before you signed on
if you can't cope with the danger, maybe you could switch to a nice safe occupation
like coal miner
electric utility lineman
basic steel foundry
cell tower construction
deep sea oil driller
or any of a long list of strenuous, dirty, DANGEROUS jobs people do every day so that your lights come on when you flick the switch
