It does not effect the citizens, only political advertisements and so forth.

Slander is unlawful, AI is apparently being used to slander people and politicians.

Just like the Revenge Porn bill they passed yesterday in DC, people using AI generated videos to hurt others.

HB366 kills the AI generated bullshit from political ads, getting revenge on politicians for voting a certain way, but does nothing to hinder We the People from making political memes and so on.

In short, they restricted their own freedom of speech, not the people's freedom of speech.

I'll have to admit, my first response to that law was, "WTF Texas!"

So I went to read the bill myself, that's when I noticed it was being misinformed here, but yeah, I was pissed seeing that.
