Russia is a nation of winners – Putin(MRGA!)

The Russian leader has lauded his country’s contribution to theSoviet Union’s triumph over Nazi Germany in World War II

President Vladimir Putin has described Russia as a nation of winners, praising the country’s role in the Soviet Union’s defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

The Russian leader made the remarks on Wednesday at the Znanie.First educational marathon in Moscow, held ahead of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in 1945.

Putin emphasized the sacrifices made by all Soviet republics during the war, with a particular focus on Russia’s contribution.

“For victory, no one spared themselves,” he said. “Russia, due to its scale, of course made the greatest contribution to this victory. It gave the most – its sons and daughters who died defending the motherland and our common future.”

Putin added thatnations defeated in the war are now trying to lecture Russia and “distort the truth.” However, he insisted that Russia is “without a doubt, a nation of winners” and continues to stand its ground.

“When I say ‘nation’, I mean all the peoples, all the ethnic groups of the former Soviet Union, and of course, of Russia,” Putin said.

Moscow views the victory over Nazi Germany as a profound symbol of national resilience, as the USSR lost an estimated 26.6 million lives during the war. For this year’s commemoration, the Russian government has extended multiple invitations, including to the leaders of China, India, and Brazil, as well as numerous other international leaders.(interesting they never mention Putin invited Trump and U.S.,not because of embarrassment but for another reason.)

Russia will celebrate the anniversary of the Soviet Union’s defeat of fascism and hold its annual Victory Day parade on Red Square on May 9.More than 20 foreign leaders are expected to attend, including Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. (I really hope to God PDJT joins them, I believe that is the plan at the last minute.)

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has warned the leaders of the bloc’s candidate countries against attending Russia’s celebrations. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned Kallas’ comments as tantamount to a revival of Nazism.

(Russia is embracing Russia First. Europe is trying to downplay without Russia, they would be ruled by Nazis, which is disgusting the EU can’t thank Russia. There is no doubt Russia was first, in WWII to save the world with their tremendous sacrifice.Russia is embracing what Trump has done, without playing down their sacrifice. This is a good pattern. Lavrov said the other day, Russians are a polite people, now they will be polite but also show the world, their heroic sacrifice to win WWII. I like this! Thank you Russia with your immense sacrifice to save the continent of Europe and possibly the world. Catherine the Great came to the aid of the Revolution, we are and have been allies for a long time.)

Putin discusses French squadron fighting for Russia, WWII victory and ties with EU (KEY QUOTES)

The Russian president has addressed participants at an educational marathon

Russian President Vladimir Putin has delivered a lengthy speech at the Znanie.First educational marathon in Moscow on Wednesday, offering blunt assessments on historical memory, current military operations, and geopolitical tensions. He said that Russia made the greatest contribution to victory in World War II,predicted a future thaw in relations with Europe, revealed that French citizens are fighting for Russia in Ukraine, and commented on the military situation in Kursk Region.

Here are the key take aways from his remarks:

1) On French citizens fighting alongside Russian troops

Putin stated that French nationals are currently taking part in the Ukraine conflict on the Russian side, referencing a historical WWII unit, the ‘Normandie-Niemen’ squadron, composed of French pilots who fought alongside the Soviet Air Force. He did not provide figures or further details.

“There have always been people in France who share Russia’s values. Such people still exist today.”

“Some citizens of the French Republic are fighting shoulder to shoulder with our soldiers in the area of the special military operation. They named their unit as their grandfathers and great-grandfathers did – ‘Normandie-Niemen’.”

2) On the future of Russia-Europe relations

The Russian president expressed confidence that the strained ties between Russia and European countries would eventually be repaired.

“Sooner or later, relations between Russia and Europe will be restored. This is beyond doubt.”

3) On Europeans who share Russia’s position

Putin pointed out that support for Russia’s stance exists across Europe, though often unspoken due to social or political pressure. He suggested that only a few individuals dare to express this alignment publicly.

“In Europe, there are many people who share our position. Some remain silent; few have the audacity to voice their opinion.”

4) On Soviet republics’ contribution in World War II victory

Putin emphasized the sacrifices made by the all republics of the Soviet Union, particularly Russia, which was a part of the USSR back then, in securing victory in the Second World War.

“The Russian Federation, due to its scale, of course made the greatest contribution to this victory. It gave the most – its sons and daughters who died defending the motherland and our common future.”

“For victory, no one spared themselves.”

5) On the Kursk Region frontline

Putin described the Ukrainian forces in the area as fragmented and cut off, hiding in “holes” and “basements” with no way to retreat. He said Russia had cleared most of the region but that remnants of the opposing side were being offered a chance to surrender.

“Yes, we drove [the Ukrainian Armed Forces] out of the Kursk Region,” Putin said.

“They’re still sitting in cracks and basements somewhere.”

He added that evacuation was impossible due to the dispersed nature of these units, despite Ukrainian appeals. Putin also supported the idea of creating a memorial in the region to honor Russian volunteers who participated in the fighting.

US cannot sign peace deal on behalf of Kiev – Kremlin

Moscow is urging the Ukrainian government to lift its ban on direct negotiations

Russia values US mediation in the Ukraine conflict and hopes for its success, but it cannot sign a peace deal with Washington as a stand-in for Kiev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated. Moscow is therefore urging the Ukrainian government to lift its ban on direct negotiations.

US President Donald Trump’s administration is advocating a compromise resolution to the hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, warning that a lack of progress could lead to a US withdrawal from the peace process. On Wednesday, Peskov reiterated that Ukraine’s willingness to make concessions is crucial to a favorable outcome.

”A peace deal should be done with the Ukraine, not with America,”he remarked in English during a press briefing, answering a question from a foreign journalist.

He reminded the media that Russian President Vladimir Putin remains open to direct discussions with Ukraine, adding, “Unfortunately, we haven’t heard any statements in this context from Kiev, so we don’t know whether Kiev is ready or not.”

Previously, Moscow urged Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky to rescind his 2022 order banning direct negotiations with Russia as long as Putin remains in office.

Peskov expressed gratitude toward the Trump administration for its diplomatic efforts, and observed that while Washington’s desire for a swift resolution is understandable, a peace deal is “too complicated to be achieved overnight.”

Trump has previously criticized Zelensky for publicly opposing aspects of the US truce proposal, which were reported in the media. In an interview with ABC News this week, he claimed that Russia “would have taken all of Ukraine” if he had not been in office. Separately, US Vice President J.D. Vance has argued thatKiev lacks a viable path to reverse its misfortunes on the battlefield against Russia.

Peskov stated that Russia prefers a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine conflict, having pursued that path before resorting to military action after its overtures were rebuffed.

(Bidan started this war intentionally, and he and Zelensky were willing to sacrifice every Ukrainian down to the last man there. The blame is not on Russia, but the NWO that thought they could defeat Russia. All the dead are on Bidan and his Admin, plus the oligarchs in Ukraine that were promised money for their own citizens to die by the millions. The recorded history will be hideous when the truth comes out.)

Ukraine backtracked on resources deal – US Treasury

(They do it again, they won’t tell the Trump Admin they already sold it to the UK. This is the last straw)

Kiev’s team introduced surprise changes to the agreement just as the US was about to sign, Secretary Scott Bessent has said

Kiev has made last-minute changes to aminerals deal it was expected to sign with Washington on Tuesday, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has said.

Tense talks over the agreement have simmered between the US and Ukraine for months. President Donald Trump has advertised the deal as a way for Washington to recoup what he describes as some $350 billion the US has spent on backing Kiev in the current conflict, through the future joint exploitation of its mineral resources.

The Ukrainian side made alterations to the document just as they were expected to seal the deal, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said during a press conference in the Oval Office on Wednesday.

“Our side’s ready to sign. The Ukrainians decided last night to make some last-minute changes,” he told reporters.

“We’re assured that they will reconsider that,”Bessent said, adding that he hopes the deal will be signed on Wednesday afternoon.

A delegation from Ukraine led by Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko went to the US after securinga clause that stipulated only future military aid would count for Washington’s contribution to the deal, rather than the totality of the aid provided so far, Financial Times wrote on Wednesday.

According to a copy of the agreement seen by the outlet, under the deal, the US and Ukraine would invest into Ukrainian mining, energy and related technology sectors via a joint investment fund and through the exploitation of the country’s mineral wealth.

Sviridenko was told to “be ready to sign all agreements, or go back home,” FT wrote, citing anonymous Ukrainian officials.

The US wants Ukraine to sign both the framework pact and a detailed agreement on the proposed fund that would seal the full minerals deal, the newspaper wrote.

Kiev’s team refused to sign the documentsas “the fund agreement must be ratified by their country’s parliament before it can be signed,” FT wrote, citing its Ukrainian sources.

Trump has increasingly criticized Kiev and Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky for slow progress towards concluding the agreement.

In late February, the two had a public altercation in the Oval Office, just as the deal was widely expected to be signed. During the heated exchange, Trump accused Zelensky of not being thankful for US aid, and of “gambling with World War III,” for not negotiating with Russia.

(Ukraine will never sign it, they sold it to UK and many other countries long before Trump came into office. I believe this is the end of negotiations and they will not be entertained any longer. The threat is, the are cutoff from US support.)

Tucker Carlson accuses Ukrainians of trying to kill Trump

The journalist argued it is “obvious” that Kyiv was behind the plot to kill the U.S. president in Florida

Ukraine was involved in a plot to assassinate US President Donald Trump during his 2024 reelection campaign, American journalist Tucker Carlson has claimed.

In September 2024, pro-Ukraine activist Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested after setting up a firing position with a rifle near Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was spotted by Secret Service agents before he could open fire and was detained following a brief manhunt.

“It’s very obvious that the Ukrainians were involved in the attempted assassination on the golf course in Florida,” Carlson said on The Megyn Kelly Show on Tuesday.

“That guy definitely had some contact with Ukraine, for sure,” Kelly replied. “He was in Ukraine!” Carlson emphasized.

Kelly noted that Routh had been “asking them”for heavy weaponry, including rocket-propelled grenades. Carlson agreed and suggested Kiev may have been involved in additional assassination plots.

“I know for a fact there were others who were a target of assassination attempts by the Ukrainian government,” he said, without providing further details.

According to court documents from the Southern District of Florida, Routh – who is a convicted felon – had previously attempted, unsuccessfully, to enlist in Ukraine’s armed forces in 2022. Despite this, he allegedly worked to recruit foreign volunteers for the Ukrainian military.

Prosecutors allege that Routh attempted to purchase either a rocket-propelled grenade launcher or a Stinger man-portable air-defense missile from a Ukrainian associate. “I need equipment so that Trump don’t [sic] get elected,”he wrote in one of the encrypted messages cited in the case.

Both weapons systems have seen extensive use in the Ukraine conflict. “One missing would not be noticed,” Routh reportedly said in another message.

In 2022, Routh took part in a rally in Kiev in support of Ukraine’s Azov military unit, whose fighters were under siege by Russian forces in Mariupol at the time. The unit – which includes members with neo-Nazi and ultranationalist backgrounds – later stated that Routh “has never had any connection to Azov.”

In a social media post earlier this month, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., criticized officials in Kiev for failing to alert U.S. authorities about Routh’s attempts to obtain heavy weapons.

The Florida incident came after a separate assassination attempt in July 2024, when a gunman opened fire during Trump’s campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Trump was escorted from the stage after a bullet grazed his ear. One spectator was killed and several others were wounded. The shooter, later identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, was fatally shot by a Secret Service sniper.
