Hello baker,

BV here. For some odd reason tons of threads from the end of last month were immediately archived and all the images are gone because of that.

Most of the images of that last thread were archived, but not all of them.

Notable bun was just posted to notable thread, this didn't happen automatically, because the old thread was archived before end of month and this thread started on May 1st.

I'm trying to reconstruct most of the old notables, but it would be great if someone had a copy of the missing images.

Out of 135 images, I was able to recover most - 129 + 1 thumbnail, but not all.

Check here for missing files:

If anyone has one of the missing files, please post them right in here, so I can grab and fix it.

Yes, I heard that. It still makes no sense to me, because new threads only push oldest threads off the catalog, and thus only the oldest threads get archived.

In this case the most recent threads were archived, and the oldest all survived.

It's a shame because on top of that wayback machine archiving doesn't work properly atm, because media content is now hosted exclusively on nerv.8kun.top, and 8kun.top has major DNS issues on wayback machine.

Before that media content was hosted on 128ducks, which worked fine.

But at least in this case here almost everything was archived, because I archive large images regardless if notable or not and that was before that change.

Yes, around 40 Generals went into archive.

To my knowledge there is no way to archive threads / get them out of the catalog except deleting them, you can only enable "sage", which means new posts won't bump the thread to the top of the catalog.

When I saw the mess, my first thought was that they were deleted, but that isn't the case.

To me it looks like potentially a site bug.

I guess at least Canada and Germany were at the top of the catalog, with the 40 Generals and for some reason all of these went out. Haven't seen Brazil many times, but it was probably the same.
