Is this the new way to control people via lockdowns, movement control, financial control, purchasing control, working control etc.?
The wars were great for this in the early 20th century, but that wouldn't fly with the developed west now. Then they tried to use 'health' emergency rather than war through COVID, but that kinda backfired in the long term too. So are basic power cutoffs now the way they're going? And making more and more things dependant on power (electric cars, cashless society, internet and computerized everything etc.) is designed to make it debilitating rather than just annoying.
Didn't one of the Obama's production company movies deal with a plot like this? It's probably already been planned years ago, the way WW1 and 2 were, and COVID was.
