George Soros laid the groundwork for our current policy which casts everyone who opposes foreign aid or military intervention as an enemy of democracy.

All these countries banning nationalist candidates from running are terrified of breaking the foreign aid gravy train. They're not preventing the next Hitler, that's a lie. Sorry if you hate it.
