Over the weekend my team and I spent time at the Threat Screening Center (TSC) - our main tripwire for identifying threats and keeping America safe.
The team here handles terrorism and transnational organized crime watchlists and disseminates the information across U.S. government agencies, law enforcement partners, and foreign partners, so that we're better equipped to crush violent crime and strengthen America's national security apparatus.
Everything from international terrorism, to gangs and cartels, to transnational organized crime – the TSC runs a 24/7 call center to make sure the FBI and our partners quickly identify threat actors and their activity to stay ahead of the threat.
One of the first things we did when I was sworn in as Director was to strengthen the TSC's focus on border security, in addition to growing threats abroad. Our team has done tremendous work in this area.
