Just talked to a Pakistani 19 yr old for an hour on X Spaces.
Kid was brilliant.
Says China gave them new missiles w 200 km range that are enabling their jets to take these other jets down. Says it was 2 Rafaels a Mirage downed. Says it is only Mosques in the Punjab region that they have attacked, no military targets yet. Mentioned 800k Indian troops gathered in Kashmir right now. Can't tell you how completely unconcerned he was about the Indian threat, has no respect for them militarily , constantly referencing their supply chain and logistical failures in past. Couldnt support a conflict. Pakistan has always fascinated me due to our lack of access so that was very interesting to be able to pick his brain and get a feel for their cultural take on this. If I was to convey this to a player on our side i'd definitely prioritize conveying that there seems to be zero room for splitting Pakistan from China. I wouldn't even try. He was very respectful and studious, I even pushed him on China quite a bit, always had a solid reference for how we have let them down in the past. He is aware of the bloodline families and the macro context of things to a large degree which was a positive sign but still remained pragmatically loyal to China. Other rthings of note, he mentioned a recent 80 man incursion from Afg, and that they started sending Afghans back a year ago because they have lost trust. This will be something to consider as wel move back into Afghanistan, I feel like their safe haven across border in Pakistan has been lost for good. There won't be any more consistent cross border raids this time. Says they have wired the whole border in recent years, Afghan border and Indian. Just passing along. We will continue talking.
