Russia Thwarts Largest Drone Attack In History, Sparking Airport Chaos, Hours Before Victory Day Ceasefire

Hours before Putin's unilaterally declared three-day Victory Day ceasefire is expected to go into effect (starting May 8), Ukraine has launched a huge cross-border drone attack on Russia which has reportedly unleashed air traffic and flight chaos in an around Moscow, as well as other regions.

Russian state media has said several Russian airlines were forced to cancel and reroute dozens of flights late Tuesday into Wednesday, amid off-and-on airport closures and flight stoppages. Russia's anti-air defense systems have been engaged in non-stop intercepts of inbound UAVs from Ukraine.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, are also expected. Venezuela's Maduro is also in Moscow, where he's already met with President Putin.

Pakistan Closes Airspace For 48 Hours, Authorizes Response To Indian Attack Which "Ignited Inferno In Region"

Though aerial fighting between the nuclear-armed rivals does not appear to be sustained and ongoing at this point, Pakistan has closed its airspace for nearly all flights on Wednesday, in the aftermath of the Indian cross-border strikes which killed at least 26 people – including a 3-year-old girl – and wounded at least 46 other people, Pakistani authorities say based on the latest revised death toll. International carriers have also canceled flights to the region, and access to social media, including X, was temporarily blocked in Pakistan amid the assault. Heavy shelling is being reported along the Line of Control (LOC) separating the historic enemy nations.

The true casualty toll could be higher, as a Pakistani militant chief targeted in the attacks on 'terror camps' said 10 of his relatives, including five children, were killed. The Islamist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) was one of the groups targeted, and its leader Masood Azhar said his older sister, brother-in-law, his nephew and niece are among the dead.

Pakistan says that civilians were harmed and targeted that mosques were hit across six locations in its territory, and so has the right to respond to aggression. Indian has said it attack nine terror sites, but has been careful to stipulate these were non-military locations, and is now seeking de-escalation.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered his armed forces to prepare a plan for "self-defense" with "corresponding actions" in order "avenge the loss of innocent Pakistani lives". The order was issued after an emergency National Security Commitee (NSC) meeting on Wednesday.

"Pakistan reserves the right to respond, in self-defense, at a time, place, and manner of its choosing to avenge the loss of innocent Pakistani lives and blatant violation of its sovereignty," the NSC readout said. "The Armed Forces of Pakistan have duly been authorized to undertake corresponding actions in this regard."

Pakistan's Government Security Committee has charged that India has "ignited an inferno in the region". These do indeed seem to be fighting words.

What India has dubbed 'Operation Sindoor' is intended to be limited, Indian leaders have said, but it's highly questionable whether it was a 'success' - given that India lost at least one or possibly up to five fighter jets.

Trump to Welcome First Batch of White South African Refugees Fleeing Government-Sponsored Racial Persecution to U.S. Within Days

President Donald Trump is following through on his promise to extend a hand to one of the world’s most persecuted yet ignored minority groups — white South African Afrikaners.

According to an internal memo reviewed by The Lever, the Trump administration is reportedly preparing to welcome the first wave of white South African refugees to American soil within days.

On February 7, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order halting all U.S. aid to South Africa, citing “government-sponsored race-based discrimination,” including racially discriminatory property confiscation.

It can be recalled that South Africa’s EFF leader Julius Malena was again calling for genocide against white South Africans at a rally last year.

Julius Malena told supporters, “We must be able to explain to our people what black consciousness is and why it cannot coexist with the idea that white people are inherently superior, and one of the two must die.”

Trump’s executive order mandates that the U.S. promote the resettlement of Afrikaner refugees escaping such discrimination.

It directs the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security to prioritize humanitarian relief, including admission and resettlement through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, for Afrikaners in South Africa who are victims of unjust racial discrimination.

Following the executive order, the U.S. Embassy in South Africa reported receiving a list of over 67,000 individuals expressing interest in refugee status under this program.

U.S. officials have begun interviewing applicants, with more than 30 approvals reportedly granted as of late April 2025, according to Reuters.

According to The Lever, the memo, signed by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy and ORR Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison, outlines a coordinated effort to expedite the resettlement of this vulnerable population using funds from the federal “Preferred Communities” program—traditionally reserved for those at highest risk, including the elderly and sick.

The outlet also reported that the first group of Afrikaners is expected to arrive in the U.S. within the coming days.

US Intel Agencies Ordered To Target Greenland As Takeover Plotting Intensifies

In the latest indicator of President Trump's determination to close America's biggest-ever land acquisition by whatever means necessary, US intelligence agencies have been directed to step up their efforts to gather information about Greenland, Denmark and their internal political dynamics, according to two people "familiar with the effort" who leaked the news to The Wall Street Journal.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard lashed out at the leaks: “The Wall Street Journal should be ashamed of aiding deep state actors who seek to undermine the President by politicizing and leaking classified information. They are breaking the law and undermining our nation’s security and democracy.” Opting against similar fire-breathing, National Security Council spokesman James Hewitt was restrained: “The president has been very clear that the U.S. is concerned about the security of Greenland and the Arctic,” he told the Journal.

According to the Journal's sources, the directive came last week by way of a "collection emphasis message," sent by several senior intelligence officials to subordinate agency leaders. As its name implies, this type of message shapes the priorities with which assets are assigned to various intelligence missions. The agencies are now tasked with:

Meet The Think Tanks Behind MAGA’s New Free Speech Crackdown

The entities responsible for the latest assault on free speech are a whos-who of typical right wing zionists.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump—and many of his most prominent right-wing supporters—are directly linked to some of the most radically pro-war, pro-Israel organizations in the country. These connections form a sprawling web of lobbying groups, tech billionaires, and media figures who consistently promote Israeli interests above those of ordinary Americans.

Why has the pro-Trump right suddenly pivoted from branding itself as a bastion of free speech to openly supporting censorship and state-led crackdowns? This MintPress News investigation uncovers a donor-driven advocacy network driving that ideological shift.

The Horowitz Connection

Since the early 2000s, writer and activist David Horowitz has been at the center of a movement that claimed to defend free speech while portraying Muslims and leftists as existential threats to Western civilization. In the aftermath of 9/11, Horowitz called for the profiling of “Palestinian” and “Islamic” people and infamously stated that “the Palestinians are Nazis.”

Through the David Horowitz Freedom Center (DHFC), founded in 1998, he and his donors built a media and policy network that shaped the careers of nearly every major pro-Trump conservative figure active today. The Southern Poverty Law Center designated the DHFC a hate group, and it has received anonymous dark money routed through Donors Trust, which has also funded white nationalist causes.

Horowitz focused much of his activism on college campuses, pushing inflammatory anti-Islam and pro-Israel narratives intended to provoke backlash. He then framed protests against his appearances as proof that the left and Muslim communities oppose the First Amendment.

This strategy laid the foundation for figures like Ben Shapiro, who built his early career on college campus tours, defending even hate speech as protected expression and popularizing slogans like “facts don’t care about your feelings.” Shapiro began as a fellow at the DHFC, and his first book, “Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America’s Youth,” was published in 2004.

Shapiro would later become editor-in-chief of Truth Revolt, a website funded by the David Horowitz Freedom Center, where his managing editor was Jeremy Boreing. The two would go on to co-found what is now The Daily Wire. Both also worked with organizations linked to Israeli intelligence circles before eventually hiring Jordan Peterson. Although Peterson had previously said little about Israel, upon joining the Daily Wire he adopted a vocal pro-Israel stance and later met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The DHFC has also funded or aligned with numerous high-profile right-wing figures, including former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon, former national security adviser John Bolton, Pamela Geller, and Dutch politician Geert Wilders. Trump’s current Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, received $30,000 in speaking fees and honoraria from the Freedom Center between 2023 and 2024.

Rubio Orders Palestinian Affairs Office to Fold Into Israel’s Jerusalem Embassy

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is shuttering the State Department’s Office of Palestinian Affairs, which was opened under the Biden administration as an alternative to the United States Embassy in Jerusalem.

The office worked directly with the Palestinian Authority and Palestinians in Gaza and Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.

“Secretary Rubio has decided to merge the responsibilities of the Office of Palestinian Affairs office fully into other sections of the United States Embassy in Jerusalem,” State Department Press Secretary Tammy Bruce said on Tuesday during a press briefing. “This decision will restore the first Trump term framework of a unified U.S. diplomatic mission in Israel’s capital that reports to the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.”

After Trump opened the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem in 2018, the U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem — which had handled Palestinian affairs — was merged into the new embassy as the Palestinian Affairs Unit. In 2022, the Biden administration created the Office of Palestinian Affairs, which operated within the Jerusalem embassy but reports directly to the State Department instead of to the embassy.

The Office of Palestinian Affairs was embroiled in controversy when it urged Israel to “refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks” in a now-deleted tweet following Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack in which terrorists raped, murdered, and kidnapped Israeli civilians.

Trump’s newly named pick for United Nations ambassador, Mike Waltz, condemned the tweet at the time as “despicable” and said it “shows some of our bureaucrats’ true colors.”

While in the Senate, Rubio and a coalition of 80 other members of Congress released a statement calling it “alarming” that the Biden administration opened the Office of Palestinian Affairs, which “amounts to be a separate U.S. diplomatic office to the Palestinians in Israel’s capital.”

The letter called for the Office of Palestinian Affairs to be merged into the United States Embassy under the authority of the Ambassador to Israel instead of acting as a “de facto embassy.”

“The Biden Administration’s decision is wrong and not how America should treat Israel, one of our closest allies in the world,” the letter stated.

Ambassador Mike Huckabee will oversee implementing the merger over the coming weeks, according to Bruce.

“The United States remains committed to its historic relationship with Israel, bolstering Israel’s security and securing peace to create a better life for the entire region,” Bruce said.

Smotrich: Gaza Will Be ‘Totally Destroyed,’ Population Will Be ‘Concentrated’

The Israeli minister said the entire Palestinian population will be forced into a small area and pressured to leave as part of an ethnic cleansing campaign

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Tuesday that within a few months, the Gaza Strip will be “totally destroyed” and the entire Palestinian population will be “concentrated” into a tiny area in the southern part of the Palestinian territory before being forced to leave as part of an ethnic cleansing campaign.

“Within a few months, we will be able to declare that we have won. Gaza will be totally destroyed,” Smotrich said at a conference on illegal settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, according to The Times of Israel.

“In another six months, Hamas won’t exist as a functioning entity… The population of Gaza will be concentrated from the Morag Corridor southwards. The rest of the Strip will be empty,” Smotrich said.

The Morag Corridor refers to a strip of land between the southern Gaza cities of Khan Younis and Rafah.

“The Gazan citizens will be concentrated in the south. They will be totally despairing, understanding that there is no hope and nothing to look for in Gaza, and will be looking for relocation to begin a new life in other places,” Smotrich added.

The Israeli minister said that the Palestinian population will “leave in great numbers to third countries.” Throughout Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, Smotrich has been an outspoken proponent of the ethnic cleansing of the territory.

Smotrich’s comments come after the Israeli government approved military plans to completely occupy Gaza. According to Axios, the plan will involve flattening every single building, forcing the civilian population into one small area, and pressuring Palestinians to leave, though it’s unclear where they could go.

In his speech on Tuesday, Smotrich also vowed that the current Israeli government would annex the West Bank. “It will happen this term. It is one of our most important challenges. We are at a historic opportunity,” he said.

Smotrich is a West Bank settler himself and holds another ministerial position in the Defense Ministry that gives him the power to expand settlements in the occupied territory.

African Aid Agency Used Foreign Pass-Throughs To Hide Money That Went To D.C. Staff, Friends

When Department of Government Efficiency aides showed up at a small USAID-linked federal agency called the African Development Foundation in March, its management locked the doors and refused to let them in. A fired board member sued to stop DOGE, and the group was lauded for resisting DOGE’s demands for “access to USADF systems including financial records, payment and human resources systems.”

But the objection, several former employees told The Daily Wire, might not have been on principled grounds, but rather because those records amounted to a crime scene.

The African Development Foundation has an annual budget of just $45 million. But, operating out of sight and out of mind, it might have been the most corrupt agency in Washington, a Daily Wire investigation found. Its employees have been sounding the alarm for years about a culture of self-dealing, abuse, and anti-white discrimination, while those who now object to DOGE’s shuttering of the agency did nothing to help fix it.

By law, the agency is only allowed to give grants to Africa-based groups. But it moved money through African entities and then back to the United States to pad salaries of D.C. bureaucrats and pay their friends and former employers, employees said.

Until the DOGE takeover, which culminated in U.S. Marshals ordering building security to let Trump administration officials in, the agency was led by CEO Travis Adkins, who arrived in 2021 after a short stint as a Biden appointee at USAID. An assistant to Adkins said after she asked why her paycheck was lower than agreed upon, Adkins informed her that the remainder would be coming from an overseas account.

He “sent me an email connecting me with this guy in Africa who asked for my banking information. Within a few days this guy wired me $17,000,” she told The Daily Wire on condition of anonymity. The Daily Wire reviewed bank paperwork showing the transfer from an account in Kenya.

Another longtime employee, she said, was eventually “put on the payroll of an African partner and was informed she was being paid through an entity in Mauritania. No payroll, state or federal taxes were withheld from her paychecks.”

“The contracts don’t make sense and they know [DOGE] will find lots of wrongdoing and illegal activity,” she said. “I’m not a fan of DOGE, but some of the things they’re doing need to be done. They have been operating like this for years and no one did anything about it.”

Karen Kingston is a biotech analyst and former Pfizer employee who is back with some grotesque news about what the US government knew about the CV19 bioweapon vax. They were aware of the fraud. The government and Pfizer knew the CV19 vaccines were not safe. Kingston says, “In 2020, they met and listed out Myocarditis. Israel is creating a power vacuum in Gaza by backing armed looters — and killing anyone who tries to stop them

Growing reports show that Israel has been fomenting armed gangs to loot food supplies in Gaza and sow chaos — and it's killing those who attempt to stop it. But this strategy isn't new: Israel has waged a war on Gaza's civil government from the start.

Israel has been waging a war on Gaza’s ability to govern itself and maintain law and order as a part of its 18-month-long genocidal campaign. The broad objective of this strategy has been to create a civil and humanitarian vacuum in Gaza that would lead to chaos and lawlessness. The intended effect, in Israel’s eyes, is either total social collapse, the spread of criminality, or the emergence of an alternative “clan”-based leadership in Gaza instead of Hamas. Israel stands to gain from any of those scenarios.

To make sure this administrative vacuum is maintained, Israel has launched periodic assassination campaigns targeting members of Gaza’s civil government — the police force, the security forces, the Civil Defense, and the healthcare system.

Israel has instrumentalized the fact that all these civil branches of government in Gaza, by definition, fall under Hamas control, given that it is the ruling faction in the strip. Consequently, it labels any Gaza civil servant as a “Hamas operative,” an association that has allowed Israel to legitimize the targeting of an entire category of civilian workers. They have included firefighters, medics, nurses, doctors, first responders, police officers, and other civil servants who were killed in the line of duty.

Over the past several months, Mondoweiss has collected testimonies from officials and field operatives in the Gaza government’s civil branches, documenting Israel’s targeting campaign and its sanctioning of looting and lawlessness to exacerbate famine conditions in Gaza. On one occasion, Mondoweiss was also able to obtain testimony from a young man who joined a group that looted aid convoys in December 2024.

Our reporting shows that dismantling these components of Gaza’s civil services has been a key objective of Israel’s genocide. Massie opposes Hill efforts on antisemitism, cites free speech, 'not illegal to be antisemitic'

GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, known for his strong libertarian views, is joined fellow House conservatives in opposition to congressional efforts to reign in antisemitism, arguing for free speech, "It's not illegal to be antisemitic."

DDoS-for-hire empire brought down: Poland arrests 4 administrators, US seizes 9 domains

In the latest blow to the criminal market for distributed denial of service (DDoS)-for-hire services, Polish authorities have arrested four individuals who allegedly ran a network of platforms used to launch thousands of cyberattacks worldwide. The suspects are believed to be behind six separate stresser/booter services that enabled paying customers to flood websites and servers with malicious traffic — knocking them offline for as little as EUR 10.

The now defunct platforms – Cfxapi, Cfxsecurity, neostress, jetstress, quickdown and zapcut – are thought to have facilitated widespread attacks on schools, government services, businesses, and gaming platforms between 2022 and 2025.

The platforms offered slick interfaces that required no technical skills. Users simply entered a target IP address, selected the type and duration of attack, and paid the fee — automating attacks that could overwhelm even well-defended websites.

Global law enforcement response

The arrests in Poland were part of a coordinated international action involving law enforcement authorities in 4 countries, with Europol providing analytical and operational support throughout the investigation.

Dutch authorities have deployed fake booter sites designed to warn users seeking out DDoS-for-hire services, reinforcing the message that those who use these tools are being watched and could face prosecution. Data from booter websites, seized by Dutch law enforcement in data centres in the Netherlands, was shared with international partners, including Poland, contributing to the arrest of the four administrators.

The United States seized 9 domains associated with booter services during the coordinated week of action, continuing its broader campaign against commercialised DDoS platforms.

Germany supported the Polish-led investigation by helping identify one of the suspects and sharing critical intelligence on others.

What are stresser and booter services?

Stresser and booter services offer on-demand cyberattacks, often disguised as tools for legitimate testing but widely used to cause deliberate disruption. These services let users flood a target server or website with enormous volumes of fake traffic, making them inaccessible to real users – a technique known as distributed denial of service.

Unlike traditional botnets, which require the control of large numbers of infected devices, stresser/booter services industrialise DDoS attacks through centralised, rented infrastructure. They are often advertised on underground forums and the dark web, and transactions are typically anonymised.

This coordinated action is part of Operation PowerOFF, an ongoing international law enforcement effort targeting the infrastructure behind DDoS-for-hire activity.

Manitoba to make Holocaust education mandatory in secondary schools starting fall 2025

The province of Manitoba is making Holocaust education mandatory in secondary schools.

Premier Wab Kinew made the announcement on Apr 24, 2025, Holocaust Remembrance Day.

“We are one Manitoba that cannot be divided by hatred,” said Kinew. “Now more than ever, we must honour the diversity and inclusivity in our province and commit to learning the lessons of history so that they cannot be repeated. Learning lessons from the past protects some of the intrinsic values of our province – diversity, inclusion and human rights. The best way to uphold that basic understanding is to help foster these values in our young people.”

Beginning this fall, the grades 6, 9 and 11 social studies curriculum will be updated, and Holocaust education will be mandatory in all schools across the province.

"B’nai Brith Canada commends Premier [Wab] Kinew for making good on his campaign promise to improve Holocaust education in Manitoba," said Dr. Ruth Ashrafi, B’nai Brith Canada’s Regional Director for Manitoba and Saskatchewan. "We look forward to continuing to collaborate with the province on initiatives to combat hate."

The province has partnered with the Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada and hired dedicated staff to develop the new mandatory curriculum. Manitoba is the sixth province in Canada to make Holocaust studies mandatory in secondary schools.

Other provinces that have committed to making Holocaust education a mandatory component of their curriculum include Ontario, B.C, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

The Northwest Territories has also added Holocaust education to its Grade 6 curriculum, making it the only territory to do so.
