I think people miss understand some things. If you read the Bible it actually says that they tried and offered to make him the leader… and try to run off the Romans so to speak. This was the thing he did not want to be made a King and did not think they should go after them. You ask yourself why. Well at this time the Roman army was about at the top of the game there is no way that they could have won a war with then period is the thing. So as much as some do not understand this even if Jesus is not seen as the son of God to then like the Islamic people or Jewish he did stop or go against this in this way. To me it is was odd how no one thought maybe this was not the reason they though him to the Gov. and had him killed. After all if he said he did not think he committed a crime but the Jewish people insisted he be killed so on… then in a way the war did not happen so on… so in a way regardless of what you believe he did save a large number of Hebrew people at this then Islam did not exist is the thing. So then this is why I believe the Islamic people believe and say he is a great teacher but they do not think he is the son of God this is the main difference in the religions in this aspect. This is a way that Islamic people respect Christians more then people know or understand. The issue is that most Christian’s do not understand this in this aspect of things. This why in ways it is something to not immediately dismiss them as not well welcoming to Christian people in general.
This is likely the same for the Jewish people themselves as Hebrew consisted of the Jewish people later Christian the earliest of which where mostly Hebrew and then later Islamic Hebrew.
So in a way both Jewish and Islamic people I believe respect Jesus as a historical figure but the claim he is the sun of God is what they dispute is the thing.
So I choose to think about what brings people together rather then what makes them want to be so different. You find in this way a lot more common ground is the thing and if anyone was to talk on faith or something it is between two friends rather then to people that do not know each other.
