I've watched videos and read different places that it was the Brits that financed the House of Saud, to put them in power as puppets in the region. Who knows if they have gained more power because they became stinking rich, but the Queen owns some huge part of the planet, so I think she could pull rank, and the Brits would still have the upper hand.
