Shorting the market or investing in inverse ETFs is a tough gig and usually doesn't end well for most investors. The reason is, is that asset prices generally increase over time and that markets usually spend way more time going up or staying range-bound than dropping. When they drop it is usually more rapidly, but this doesn't happen most of the time and it is almost impossible to time out and then back in. I've lost plenty of money in the past doing this and I no longer do.I can't tell you what to do but hate to see you make the same mistake that I have.
