Netanyahu vows to go ‘with full force’ into Gaza

Israel has no plans to stop its war with Hamas despite ongoing hostage release talks, according to the prime minister

The Israeli military will finish off Hamas in Gaza in the near future, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed. Meanwhile, his government intends to continue negotiations for the release of the remaining hostages held by the militant group.

Speaking to wounded Israeli reservists on Tuesday, Netanyahu insisted that “in the coming days, we will go in [to Gaza] with full force to complete the operation.” This means “destroying Hamas” as well as “freeing all our hostages,” according to the prime minister.

He did not rule out a “temporary ceasefire” in exchange for the release of captives taken by the Islamist group during its attack on Israel in 2023. However, Netanyahu made it clear that “there will be no situation where we stop the war.”

The prime minister said that Israel had already “set up a governing body that will allow [civilians] to exit” Gaza, though no country has apparently expressed a willingness to take them in. Given the opportunity, more than half of its residents would leave, according to him.

Netanyahu’s comments follow Tuesday’s airstrike by Israel Defense Forces on the European hospital in Khan Yunis in the south of the Palestinian enclave. According to the IDF, Hamas militants had set up an underground “command and control center” beneath the building. Local media reported that the attack targeted a Hamas leader, Muhammad Sinwar, whose fate remains unknown.

On Wednesday, several media outlets claimed that Israeli warplanes had struck the site again, in an apparent attempt to prevent rescue workers from approaching the hospital.

Gaza’s civil defense agency later confirmed that IDF warplanes “deliberately targeted anyone who tried to reach” the wounded. According to Palestinian officials, the airstrikes claimed the lives of at least 28 people.

Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza following a deadly Hamas incursion on October 7, 2023, which left more than 1,100 people dead, with more than 200 taken hostage. The heavy aerial and artillery pounding of the densely populated Palestinian enclave, coupled with an Israeli ground operation, have claimed the lives of over 60,000 people, with many more injured or missing, Palestinian authorities have estimated.

Pfizergate: Top European Court Slams Corrupt Globalist EU Chief Von der Leyen in Bombshell Ruling Over Secret Covid-19 Vaccine Procurement Texts

In a ruling that’s shaken the corrupt foundations of the European Union, the EU’s top court has declared that Commission President Ursula von der Leyen broke transparency rules by hiding secret text messages she exchanged with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla—just as the EU was locking itself into the biggest vaccine deal in its history.

The judgment, handed down by the European Court of Justice (ECJ), exposes a damning breach of public trust and fuels the growing outcry over what critics have dubbed “Pfizergate”—a scandal that underscores everything wrong with the unaccountable EU bureaucracy, Big Pharma’s grip on policy, and von der Leyen’s corrupt, authoritarian style of rule.

While globalists still cling to the tired narrative of “saving lives,” the reality now laid bare is that the EU chief struck backroom deals worth billions of euros without oversight or record—deals that forced member states into buying up to 1.8 billion doses of the experimental Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 shot, a product mired in concerns about side effects, rushed testing, and data suppression.

The Commission tried to sweep the messages under the rug, initially claiming they didn’t exist—until a 2021 New York Times interview revealed they did. In that piece, Bourla gushed about how his cozy chats with von der Leyen built “deep trust,” right before the vaccine contract—the largest the EU ever signed—was sealed.

The court wasn’t buying the cover-up. In its scathing decision, the ECJ ruled the Commission “failed to explain in a plausible manner” why it didn’t keep the texts or treat them as official documents. In other words, the EU’s own watchdog admitted what skeptics knew all along: the deal was hatched in the shadows, with no paper trail, no accountability, and no regard for the public’s right to know.

Even the usually tame European Ombudsman called it “maladministration.” That’s bureaucrat-speak for corruption.

Von der Leyen, once the golden girl of Brussels, now finds herself at the heart of the EU’s largest transparency scandal in decades. Critics on the right—and even a few from the liberal left—are hammering her for dodging responsibility while preaching democracy, transparency, accountability, and the ‘rule of law.’

Dutch MEP Raquel García Hermida-van der Walle called the ruling a “slam dunk for transparency”, pointing out the obvious: “People are allowed to know how decisions are made—even if it’s done over a text message.”

Independent Irish MEP Michael McNamara didn’t mince words either, saying von der Leyen’s actions showed she wasn’t remotely committed to openness.

Trump Lauds Syrian President As ‘Attractive’ And ‘Tough’ After Vowing To Remove Sanctions

President Donald Trump met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on Wednesday, marking the first time that top leaders from the two countries have met in more than two decades.

During the meeting, Trump pressed al-Sharaa to help the United States combat ISIS, remove all foreign terrorists from Syria, and normalize relations with Israel, according to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. Trump and al-Sharaa, who overthrew former Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad in December, reportedly spoke for about 33 minutes.

“He’s got a real shot at holding it together,” Trump said of al-Sharaa. “I spoke with [Turkish] President Erdogan, who is very friendly with him. He feels he’s got a shot of doing a good job. It’s a torn-up country.”

Trump also called al-Sharaa a “young, attractive guy. Tough guy. Strong past. Very strong past. Fighter.”

The meeting came after Trump announced on Tuesday that he was dropping sanctions on Syria “in order to give them a chance at greatness.”

“In Syria, which has seen so much misery and death, there is a new government that will hopefully succeed in stabilizing the country and keeping peace. That’s what we want to see,” Trump said during a speech in Saudi Arabia.

Leavitt said that Trump was invited to meet with al-Sharaa by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan joined the meeting by phone. It was the first meeting between an American and Syrian president in 25 years.

“President Erdogan praised President Trump for lifting sanctions on Syria and committed to working alongside Saudi Arabia to encourage peace and prosperity in Syria,” Leavitt posted on X. “The Crown Prince also commended President Trump for his decision to lift the sanctions, calling it courageous. President Trump thanked President Erdogan and the Crown Prince for their friendship, and told President Al-Sharaa that he has a tremendous opportunity to do something historic in his country. President Trump encouraged President Al-Sharaa to do a great job for the Syrian people.”

Leavitt said Trump “urged” al-Sharaa to “sign onto the Abraham Accords with Israel” and “assume responsibility for ISIS detention centers in Northeast Syria.”

The two also discussed their “shared interests” of countering terrorism and eliminating chemical weapons, according to Leavitt. Al-Sharaa, who has portrayed himself as a moderate, has previously been tied to various terrorist groups like Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and Al-Qaeda.

“President Al-Sharaa affirmed his commitment to the 1974 disengagement with Israel. President Al-Sharaa concluded with his hope that Syria would serve as a critical link in facilitating trade between east and west, and invited American companies to invest in Syrian oil and gas,” Leavitt said.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry said during the meeting that Trump “affirmed that the administration in Washington is committed to playing a positive and constructive role during this sensitive period.”

Shortly after the meeting with al-Sharaa, Trump left for Qatar for the second stop of his Middle East trip.

The never satisfied and eternally complaining Zionist Brain…Majority of US Jews say Trump fueling antisemitism, not fighting it

About half of American Jews describe US President Donald Trump as antisemitic, while only a minority think his campus crackdown is reducing antisemitism, according to a new survey.

Half of US Jewish voters believe Trump is antisemitic, poll finds

Survey also finds share of Jewish voters who feel attached to Israel dropped from 82% to 69% after Oct. 7, and 61% have unfavorable views of Netanyahu

About half of American Jews describe President Donald Trump as antisemitic, while only a minority think his campus crackdown is reducing antisemitism, according to a new survey.

American Jews are also broadly critical of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and fewer of them say they feel an attachment to Israel than before the current Israel-Hamas war, which began with the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led atrocities, according to the survey.

The survey of Jewish registered voters, conducted by the polling firm GBAO Strategies, found that 52% of respondents say the word “antisemitic” describes the president very or somewhat well.

In addition, 74% of respondents disapprove of the job Trump is doing as president, while 26% approve. Close to 70% said the words “fascist” and “racist” describe him very or somewhat well.

Previous surveys have consistently reported low approval ratings for Trump from Jewish voters, who have leaned heavily Democratic for decades. The poll found that a large majority of respondents plan to support Democrats in next year’s midterm elections.

But the “antisemitic” description is notable because Trump campaigned on fighting antisemitism. Since he returned to office, his administration has taken a number of high-profile actions with the stated goal of fighting antisemitism, including pulling billions of dollars in funding from universities and seeking to deport foreign student activists.

The poll found that only a fraction of respondents thought those actions reduce antisemitism, while a much larger share said the actions increase antisemitism.

Forty-nine percent of respondents said the funding cuts to universities increased antisemitism, while 25% said the cuts reduce antisemitism, and 26% said they have no impact.

Sixty-one percent of respondents believed that the Trump administration arresting and deporting pro-Palestinian protesters increased antisemitism, while 20% said it reduces antisemitism and another 20% said it has no impact.

Belgium’s Jewish community on edge after police raids on illegal circumcisions

Police in Antwerp looking for rabbis conducting the religious rite without medical license; Jewish group says raids part of larger campaign of intimidation against Jews in Belgium

Belgium police conducted a series of raids on Wednesday in Jewish homes in Antwerp looking for people illegally conducting ritual Jewish circumcisions, local officials said.

Police conducted raids on three locations in Antwerp’s Jewish Quarter and nearby Green Quarter seeking knives and other equipment used in circumcisions, according to local reports. No one was arrested.

Police are concerned that the brit milah ritual is being performed on Jewish baby boys by unlicensed mohels (people who perform circumcision) instead of professional doctors. The ritual is commonly done in a synagogue, not a medical institution, by people who may not have undergone receive comprehensive medical training.

“The problem is that there is no clear law regarding circumcision at the moment,” Belgian MP Michael Freilich, the country’s only Orthodox Jewish lawmaker, told The Times of Israel.

While there are no laws specifically regulating Jewish ritual circumcision, Belgium has laws mandating that all medical procedures must be performed by a licensed doctor.

Freilich, who works with the European Union on Jewish matters in his position as the European Jewish Association’s diplomatic envoy for issues of antisemitism and Holocaust remembrance, is working on developing EU certification for mohels, but that is likely years away, he noted.

Until then, the situation is precarious for Jews looking to perform the biblically prescribed religious ritual with a traditional mohel.

“This is a very sad day. On one hand, Jews must obviously respect the laws of their countries,” Freilich said. “On the other hand, there has been a policy until now of the government turning a blind eye to this issue. The problem is not that brit milah is not allowed; it’s that there needs to be a clearer law about who can perform the procedure. We need to work together to find a solution.”

European Jewish Association chairman Rabbi Menachem Margolin condemned the raids, calling them part of a larger campaign of intimidation against Jewish religious figures in Belgium.

“Following the ban on ritual slaughter [in a 2019 law that requires that animals be stunned before they can be slaughtered for food], the harassment of mohels represents a further red line and a clear warning sign to Belgian Jews and the Belgian government,” Margolin said. “Any restriction on circumcision in Belgium would send a clear message to Belgian Jews that they are not welcome in the country.”

U.S. Navy Drops The Hammer – Cartel Drug Lab Wiped Off The Map

While most of the world goes about daily life unaware, the United States Navy is fighting a war no one talks about. Drug submarines packed with cocaine try to sneak past Navy ships and helicopters armed with machine guns. These missions rarely make headlines and receive little public attention, despite involving billions of dollars linked to drug cartels. Why is no one talking about this? And what happens when the cartels get cornered at sea?

Microsoft lays off 6,000 employees

The tech company has 228,000 workers globally, about 126,000 of which are in the U.S.

Microsoft began laying off nearly 3% of its workforce, or 6,000 employees Tuesday.

“We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to best position the company for success in a dynamic marketplace,” a Microsoft spokesperson told The Hill newspaper.

The tech company, based in the state of Washington, has 228,000 workers globally, per Microsoft's latest figures. About 126,000 of those workers are in the U.S., thousands of which will be impacted by the cuts. Some employees have already received layoff notices.

Microsoft laid off workers earlier this year, which were performance-based job cuts across multiple departments. Early last year, Microsoft let about 1,900 employees go at Activision Blizzard and Xbox.

Tuesday's layoffs are the largest cuts Microsoft has made since January 2023, when it cut around 10,000 positions, which was nearly 5% of its workforce.

'Terrorism'? Israel has weaponized the charge for decades

Previously unreported US government study reveals use of tactic to lock up Palestinians and to thwart the peace process with little if any evidence

What do human rights activists in Jerusalem, humanitarian aid workers in Gaza, and college students in New York all have in common according to Israel and its influence network? They all purportedly have links to terrorism. Although such accusations are often baseless, they are frequently used to besmirch and undercut those who are unwilling to do Israel’s bidding.

Although this is a tactic very much on display today, it is one I first came across while serving with the U.S. Security Coordinator (USSC) in the West Bank, when a similar pattern of accusations and complaints from Israel, as documented in a report that has not been previously disclosed, threatened to wreck what was, back then in 2008, already a tenuous peace process in the West Bank.

The USSC often acts as an unofficial broker between the Israeli and Palestinian security sectors. Despite significant progress in the delivery of security on the Palestinian side, Israel was dragging its feet, claiming a lack of confidence in the Palestinian Security Forces.

The Israelis’ basic argument was that the Palestinian Authority was not taking sufficient action against individuals Israel accused of terrorism, and therefore Israel did not have the confidence to deliver its side of the negotiations — to reduce checkpoints and IDF presence in the West Bank. With the usual public relations savvy, Israel argued both privately and in the press that the Palestinian Authority security system was nothing more than a "revolving door" in that the Palestinian Authority would arrest people Israel had claimed to be terrorists or have ties to terrorists, but then quickly release them.

The Bush administration at the time was committed to the negotiations process under the Roadmap for Peace, but with Israel threatening to halt any progress on the basis of its concerns, the U.S. decided it would have to step in and address them.

As the USSC lead for Palestinian security sector governance, I was charged with leading a study of the alleged "revolving door" problem, and with colleagues including a senior UK police officer and a Canadian military officer, conducted a thorough review of the allegations, producing an official report, which was briefed to both Palestinian and Israeli officials, and to the U.S. National Security Council.

That study, officially titled, “The Jenin Revolving Door Report,” was not a victory for any of the parties involved. Although some of the context it addressed is now somewhat dated, some of its key findings remain very relevant today, given the allegations that led to the report and the parallel pattern we see today of Israel making accusations of terrorism against individuals and organizations it views as adversaries, complaining when these accusations are not acted upon in a manner that Israel finds sufficient, and then leveraging its allegations and complaints as a part of a public relations strategy.

The report has never been publicly released. Given the passage of time, but also due to its relevance and the value of transparency, the complete text may be found here (with redactions only to protect the names of the other authors).

The report found that there were plenty of challenges for all sides to address. For instance, when it came to the Palestinian side, the report concluded that "Palestinian law on some of the critical issues is often vague, and sometimes contradictory. The Palestinian criminal justice system is both overloaded and under-resourced."

However, more germane to the broader pattern, and the one we see today, of Israeli government weakly-sourced accusations and its subsequent complaints of inaction, are the findings of the report as it relates to Israel's approach, and in particular that:

"A final element to be considered here is the method by which Israel does transfer requests for arrest, detention, or other security actions to the Palestinian Authority. The common mechanism for this is the provision by the Israeli security establishment to elements of the Palestinian security establishment, of “lists” of targets (which may be people or institutions) and ‘actions requested,’ such as arrests or closures.

Dr. Bryan Ardis always tells it like it is: Something has to change with Big Pharma… NOW.

"For 52 years, every single documented school shooting by a teenager in America has one chilling thing in common: 100% of those shooters were on antidepressants or anti-anxiety medications. Drugs like Prozac, Zoloft, and Xanax — medications that openly list increased risks of suicidal and even homicidal behavior — were in their systems."

These are prescriptions handed out by doctors and filled by corporate giants like CVS and Walgreens. The connection is undeniable, and yet it’s ignored. This isn't just about mental health — it's about a pharmaceutical industry that keeps profiting while our kids keep dying.

Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin and Laura Loomer Warn of Foreign Influence… From Qatar

America is being targeted by a foreign influence campaign that's buying off our politicians to support the interests of a foreign power, so warns Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin and Laura Loomer.

The culprit? Qatar.

From Brian Stelter in CNN, "'It's a bribe': MAGA media stars bash Trump's reported Qatar plane gift":

"Indefensible." "It's a bribe." "Such a stain" on the administration.

Some of President Donald Trump's staunchest supporters are among the loudest critics of his plan to accept a jet from Qatar for use as Air Force One.

In a rare break from the cheerleading that typifies MAGA media outlets, some commentators are using their platforms to urge Trump to change his mind about the highly unusual gift. Others are encouraging Trump voters to consider how they'd react if a Democratic president hatched the same plan.

Wow, they must be really principled to make such a "rare break" from their cheerleading to speak out in defense of Israeli interests – er, I mean American interests.

"I think if we switched the names to Hunter Biden and Joe Biden, we'd all be freaking out on the right," Daily Wire co-founder Ben Shapiro said Monday on his podcast.

Shapiro also linked the potential Qatari deal with other reports of "influence peddling," like Trump's cryptocurrency sweepstakes.

"The administration's policy is too important for this sort of activity," Shapiro said, emphasizing that he wants Trump to succeed. "President Trump promised to drain the swamp. This is not, in fact, draining the swamp."

[…] Loomer criticized Trump's potential jet deal on Sunday and Monday by writing a series of anti-Qatar posts on X. "This is really going to be such a stain on the admin if this is true," she wrote. "And I say that as someone who would take a bullet for Trump. I'm so disappointed."

Fox News host Mark Levin shared her post and wrote, "Ditto."

Good thing we have these America First Patriots™ watching out for us!

Thirty-Five People Died the Same Day as Their Covid Shot – But Authorities Did Not Investigate

Australians are routinely assured that deaths arising from Covid vaccination are vanishingly rare, based on the drug safety regulator’s claim that it has identified only 14 deaths linked to vaccination out of more than 70 million doses given.

The other thousand plus deaths reported to the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s (TGA) safety surveillance database, the DAEN, are widely assumed to be merely coincidental, and the TGA has encouraged this perception, frequently asserting that “most deaths that occur after vaccination are not caused by the vaccine”.

Moreover, the TGA gives the impression that all reported deaths are thoroughly investigated, stating that “the TGA closely reviews all deaths reported in the days and weeks after COVID-19 vaccination”.

However, new documents released under Freedom of Information (FOI) laws and obtained by Canberra Daily suggest that the public has been misled.

Contrary to widespread belief, the documents show that the TGA does not thoroughly investigate every death reported to the DAEN. This is even the case where people died on the same day that they received their Covid shot.

Canberra Daily can reveal that out of 35 reports of Australians whose deaths occurred on the same day as their Covid vaccination, the TGA completed a causality assessment for only 24. The remaining 11 deaths had no causality assessment report available.

Further, not a single one of these 35 ‘day zero’ deaths was referred to the Vaccine Safety Investigation Group (VSIG), an expert panel which is supposed to be convened for the most serious adverse events following immunisation (AEFI), especially ones that have the potential to change the benefit-risk balance of a vaccine or to threaten public confidence in vaccine safety.

In correspondence with the TGA, Canberra Daily was additionally able to confirm that the drug safety watchdog has never ruled out a causal link between the vast majority of deaths reported and Covid vaccination.

In fact, all reported deaths are considered by the regulator to be possibly linked to vaccination, despite regular public statements implying the opposite.

Dr Suzanne Niblett, a science researcher who uncovered the 35 day zero deaths through a series of FOI requests, called the revelations “unbelievable” and “inexcusable”.

“Continuous reports stating that only 14 deaths have been linked to these vaccines seems like a very misleading comment when you haven’t actually properly analysed all of the other thousand plus deaths,” Dr Niblett told Canberra Daily.

Describing the TGA’s safety surveillance systems as a “black box”, Dr Niblett said it took serial FOI requests over many months to obtain ‘time to death’ information on reported deaths associated with Covid vaccination.

As well as the 35 deaths that occurred on the same day as Covid vaccination, Dr Niblett found that, for reports where time to death information was available, one in four occurred within three days of a Covid shot being administered.

Top UN official suggests the world look to China for leadership

Scientists find toxic metals linked to autism in popular toothpaste

A startling new investigation has uncovered toxic heavy metals lurking in some of America's most trusted toothpaste brands, including those made for children.

Lead Safe Mama, a small business focused on lead-poisoning prevention, sent 51 toothpaste products to an independent lab for testing.

The lineup included household names like Crest, Colgate, Sensodyne, Orajel, Burt’s Bees, Tom’s of Maine, and Hello.

A staggering 90 percent tested positive for lead, 65 percent contained arsenic, 47 percent had mercury and 35 percent were found to have cadmium. Many products were found to have more than one of these toxins.

All four of these substances are known neurotoxins, capable of damaging brain cells and affecting cognitive development at certain levels.

Some research has linked prolonged exposure to these metals with learning disabilities and even autism. Beyond neurological effects, exposure to heavy metals has also been associated with cancer, kidney disease, birth defects, and cardiovascular dysfunction.

None of the tested products exceeded the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) limits for exposure to these toxins, though two did exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) limit, which is based on wastewater levels.

Still, the concern is especially troubling because these metals can easily enter the body not only through ingestion, but also through skin absorption or by being inhaled during brushing.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no known safe level of lead or mercury exposure, raising serious concerns about the long-term safety of everyday oral care products.

Only five of the tested toothpastes did not contain any heavy metals, including one Orajel product made for kids: Orajel Training Toothpaste.

But Lead Safe Mama founder Tamara Rubin called the widespread presence of these toxins in toothpaste 'unconscionable, especially in 2025.'

'What's really interesting to me is that no one thought this was a concern,' she told The Guardian.

Rubin said the contamination appears to stem from certain ingredients commonly used in toothpaste, such as hydroxyapatite, calcium carbonate and bentonite clay.

Hydroxyapatite, a mineral often derived from animal bones, is added to toothpaste for its potential to help teeth absorb calcium.

UK government hijacks pensions locking billions into risky domestic schemes without approval.

The UK government is taking unprecedented control over pension funds, forcing them into domestic investments whether savers agree or not. The Treasury is preparing to override pension trustees and dictate where retirement savings must go. If funds refuse to comply, the government will impose mandates, ensuring that billions are redirected into politically favored projects.

This is a direct intervention into private savings. The Mansion House Accord, signed by seventeen major pension providers, commits at least £50 billion to UK businesses and infrastructure. Half of that will be locked into domestic investments by 2030. The government claims this will boost economic growth, but experts warn that pension holders are being pushed into higher-risk assets without their consent.

The real danger is the loss of financial independence. Trustees are supposed to act in the best interest of savers, ensuring strong returns and security in retirement. But under this new scheme, political priorities will take precedence over financial prudence. Scottish Widows, one of the UK’s largest pension providers, refused to sign the agreement, stating that investment decisions should be based on returns, not geography.

The Treasury’s next move is even more alarming. Plans are underway to consolidate pension funds into massive “megafunds,” making it easier to funnel savings into UK assets. This shift is designed to prop up struggling sectors and government-backed initiatives, regardless of whether they offer competitive returns.

This is forced participation in state-led economic experiments. Pension holders are being used as collateral to finance government ambitions. The promise of higher returns is speculative at best, and savers could face significant losses if these investments fail. The government is gambling with retirement security, prioritizing political optics over financial responsibility.

The public never voted for this. Pension funds should be managed with the sole purpose of securing stable futures for retirees, not serving as a financial lifeline for government projects. The Treasury’s power grab is a direct assault on financial freedom, and pension holders must demand accountability before their savings are locked into a system they never agreed to.

17 providers of criminal banking services arrested

Assets worth EUR 4.5 million were seized in this Europol-supported action day which followed two operations against migrant smugglers

In a prime example of the interconnection between criminal networks, Europol supported the takedown of a criminal parallel banking organisation with multiple branches spread out across Europe. The action day conducted on 14 January 2025 across Austria, Belgium and Spain constitutes a direct follow-up to two successful operations against migrant smugglers (as reported on 4 July 2023 and as 13 August 2023). A total of 17 individuals were arrested (15 in Spain, 1 in Austria, 1 in Belgium). A large amount of criminal assets worth over EUR 4.5 million, 4 shotguns and several electronic devices were seized.

The 17 individuals arrested are mostly of Chinese and Syrian nationality and are suspected of providing primarily money laundering services to criminals. This encompasses parallel banking services, illegal hawala banking, cash collection, cash courier services and the exchange of cryptocurrencies for cash. The money launderers were operational in at least two branches: one that catered largely to the Arabic-speaking criminal world and the other to criminal networks originating from China.

Money laundering services offered to other criminal networks

Investigators consider the dismantled criminal network one of the most significant in this crime area. It provided money laundering and related services to other criminal networks engaged in migrant smuggling and drug trafficking. It is believed that over EUR 21 million were moved by the criminal network. Advertising on social media, they reached a varied and international clientele. Apart from arresting 17 individuals, law enforcement seized criminal assets worth over EUR 4.5 million.

The seizures include:

EUR 206 000 in cash

EUR 421 000 in 77 bank accounts

EUR 183 000 in cryptocurrency

10 real estate items worth over EUR 2.5 million

18 vehicles worth over EUR 207 000

4 shotguns and ammunition

Phones and other devices

Luxury consumables, watches, accessories, and jewellery

Trump Envoy Reveals NATO Troop Deployment Plans for Ukraine

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

I have been wondering if the Trump regime’s peace negotiations are sincere. The plan revealed by Trump’s envoy Keith Kellogg indicates that the negotiations are not sincere. Putin, Lavrov and Security Council Secretary Shoigu, the former Minister of Defense, have all made it clear that NATO troops in Ukraine are unacceptable and could result in World War III. So why has Kellogg supported, or arranged, a joint statement by the foreign ministers of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the UK pledging “robust security guarantees for Ukraine,” consisting of “a coalition of air, land, and maritime reassurance forces that could help create confidence in any future peace and support the regeneration of Ukraine’s armed forces.” This is certainly not the de-militarization of Ukraine that the Kremlin requires, and protection by NATO forces is the same as being a member of NATO.

Putin has brought this upon Russia by his and his foreign minister’s continuous bleating for a negotiated settlement. For more than three years Putin has avoided a military victory. The explanation I offer is that he saw in the conflict what he thought was an opportunity to use it to reach a great power settlement, like the mutual security agreement with the West that he and his foreign minister tried to achieve during December 2021 and February 2022.

Putin’s failure to be prepared for conflict with the West in Ukraine and his withholding of military victory has produced a dangerous situation. Putin’s toleration of a never-ending conflict has widened the conflict into missile strikes deep into Russia and the recent closing of all Moscow airports as a result of drone attacks. This must raise the question among Russians of Putin’s effectiveness as a war leader. One result is that the West has so little regard for Putin that despite his dire warning the West is planning to station NATO forces in Ukraine. It would have been much better if Putin had gone about the business of winning the war instead of trying to use it to negotiate a settlement with the West. The result of Putin’s failure to fight to win is likely to be a much wider war.

See this.

Does the Kremlin realize that the purpose of Washington’s “Ukraine peace negotiations” is to sequence Washington’s wars with Russia and China because Washington doesn’t have the ability to take them on simultaneously? Does the Kremlin realize that the negotiations are not sincere and are being used to extract Washington from the conflict and to substitute NATO in order for Washington to be able to focus on China, regarded as the strongest opponent? It is clear that Washington regards Russia and China as opponents to be defeated. Are the “peace negotiations” being used to cause wars, not end them?

In Saudi Arabia Trump Rejects Interventionism, Regime-Change Schemes

Foreign policy statements by the Trump administration continue to surprise.

At the end of January Secretary of State Marco Rubio made remarks that strongly diverged from decades of U.S. policy. He did away with 'unipolarity' - the assumed leading role of the U.S. in global policy - and acknowledged and endorsed a multi-polar world.

He set a limit to U.S. intervention by acknowledging the legitimate interests of others:

The way the world has always worked is that the Chinese will do what’s in the best interests of China, the Russians will do what’s in the best interest of Russia, the Chileans are going to do what’s in the best interest of Chile, and the United States needs to do what’s in the best interest of the United States. Where our interests align, that’s where you have partnerships and alliances; where our differences are not aligned, that is where the job of diplomacy is to prevent conflict while still furthering our national interests and understanding they’re going to further theirs. And that’s been lost.

Rubio wants to reintroduce that concept:

And I think that was lost at the end of the Cold War, because we were the only power in the world, and so we assumed this responsibility of sort of becoming the global government in many cases, trying to solve every problem. And there are terrible things happening in the world. There are. And then there are things that are terrible that impact our national interest directly, and we need to prioritize those again. So it’s not normal for the world to simply have a unipolar power. That was not – that was an anomaly. It was a product of the end of the Cold War, but eventually you were going to reach back to a point where you had a multipolar world, multi-great powers in different parts of the planet. We face that now with China and to some extent Russia, and then you have rogue states like Iran and North Korea you have to deal with.

That was a great (if very late), and astonishing insight from the U.S. secretary responsible for foreign policy. Especially from one who had been previously affiliated with the neo-conservative movement.

NT ICAC commissioner Michael Riches resigns

The Northern Territory's Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC) Michael Riches has resigned.

It comes after an 11-month investigation into "workplace allegations" at his office was finalised.

According to a NT government statement on Tuesday night, in June 2024, former chief minister Eva Lawler advised NT parliament she had referred "workplace allegations within the Office of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption" to the Commissioner for Public Employment, for investigation.

Those allegations about Mr Riches's behaviour were noted by the Inspector of the ICAC in a report delivered that same month, which investigated separate claims against Mr Riches.

In a statement on Tuesday night, Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro said she had received a finalised report into the workplace allegations from the Commissioner for Public Employment on May 7.

Bruce McClintock "for him to consider and to determine whether the findings of the investigation warrant further action", with his report to be tabled in parliament once completed.

However, she said Mr Riches had resigned on Tuesday, with his departure to come into effect on May 15.

Given the resignation, Ms Finocchiaro said the ICAC inspector had informed her "he has exercised his discretion under the Act to terminate the investigation as it is no longer in the public interest and is an unnecessary expenditure of Territory resources".

Just days before Portugal’s legislative elections, André Ventura, the leader of the conservative Chega party, collapsed during a campaign speech on Tuesday evening.

At around 9:10 pm local time in Tavira, southern Portugal, 42-year-old André Ventura abruptly froze mid-speech, clutching his chest and neck before members of his party rushed to escort him off stage, as captured in footage aired by RTP3, according to Bloomberg.

Out Of Chaos, A New World Order

Watching President Trump speaking from Saudi Arabia, I almost felt sorry for a moment for our enemies. They must ponder how to stay relevant as the world seemingly metamorphizes before them, powerless to stop the transformation. In his speech, the President said something so powerful yet unconventional that I had to stop and consider why he was the first leader of our country to say it:

Before our eyes, a new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts and tired divisions of the past and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce, not chaos; where it exports technology, not terrorism; and where people of different nations, religions, and creeds are building cities together, not bombing each other.

Commerce is a recurring theme for Trump. His detractors miss the significance of exactly why commerce is so central to Trump’s vision of world peace and why he does not believe in “forever” enemies. I admit that Trump’s beliefs are unconventional for many, including myself.

Trump sees Russia, North Korea, China, and a great many nations and people as future participants in a world of commerce. At the same time, Trump views some nations, traditionally considered friends, as potential adversaries and impediments to such a change in posture. It’s a lot to take in.

In essence, Trump’s vision can be seen as a balance between stakeholder interests and dogma. I admit millions of us are heavily invested in dogma, including myself. Dogma is generally thought of as:

A doctrine or a corpus of doctrines relating to matters such as morality and faith set forth authoritatively by a religion.

A principle or statement of ideas, or a group of such principles or statements, especially when considered authoritative or uncritically accepted.

That which is held as an opinion, a tenet, a doctrine.

Intense fighting resumes in Libyan capital

Violence flared again in Tripoli late on Tuesday, despite authorities declaring an end to military operations

Armed clashes erupted overnight in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, less than 24 hours after the North African country’s internationally recognized Government of National Unity (GNU) declared it had completed military operations and restored stability in the city.

Fighting resumed late on Tuesday and reportedly continued into Wednesday, with gunfire and explosions heard in several neighborhoods. Eyewitnesses cited by local media said militias were seen mobilizing along major roads, including the Al-Shat highway, the Fashloum roundabout, and near Mitiga airport, which was forced to suspend operations.

Libya remains divided between rival factions and has seen repeated eruptions of violence since the 2011 NATO-backed uprising that ousted Muammar Gaddafi.

The latest tensions followed the assassination of Abdulghani al-Kikli, widely known as Ghaniwa, head of the government-affiliated Stability Support Apparatus (SSA). He was reportedly shot in southern Tripoli on Monday. Armed factions aligned with Prime Minister Abdulhamid al-Dbeibah are said to have quickly overrun SSA positions in Abu Salim and other districts following the incident.
