Anti-Ukrainian sentiment rising in Poland – media

Support for refugees has dropped significantly, with many now reportedly being told to “go back to Ukraine”

Public sentiment in Poland toward Ukrainian refugees has deteriorated over the past three years, with a growing number of Poles now calling for them to return to Ukraine, according to media reports.

Support for Ukrainian refugees in Poland has declined sharply, a March 2025 poll by the CBOS Center showed, with only 50% of Poles in favor of accepting them – well below the 81% recorded two years earlier.

Warsaw, which has been one of Ukraine’s main backers since the escalation of the conflict with Russia in 2022, initially willingly accepted more than a million refugees from the neighboring state.

Social tensions have been mounting as somecitizens reportedly perceive Ukrainian immigrants as freeloaders and potential criminals. Government data shows that at least 2.5 million Ukrainians reside in Poland, making up nearly 7% of the country’s population.

Oksana Pestrykova, a refugee support coordinator in Warsaw, told The Times on Wednesday that the atmosphere had been much more welcoming three years ago, and that Ukrainians now tend to avoid speaking their own language in public or on public transport.

“People are saying that children at school and people in line for an appointment with a doctor are telling them to go home to Ukraine,” she said.

Another Ukrainian resident told the BBC that anti-Ukrainian sentiment has surged in recent months, with reports of abuse on public transport, school bullying, and xenophobic content online.

“At work, many people have been saying Ukrainians come here and behave badly. And my Ukrainian friends say they want to go home because Polish people don’t accept us. It’s frightening to live here now,” one refugee told the outlet.

Tensions have been heightened by a divisive presidential election campaign in Poland, with the first round of voting set for Sunday.

Far-right politician Slawomir Mentzen, polling in third place, has taken a strongly anti-Ukrainian stance and backs striking a peace deal with Russia.

Conservative candidate Karol Nawrocki, currently in second, opposes Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO as well as financial aid for refugees, although he supports continued military assistance for Kiev.

Leading the race is Rafal Trzaskowski, aligned with Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s coalition and seen as the most pro-Ukrainian contender, although he too has pledged to cut social benefits for Ukrainian nationals.

Roughlyone million Ukrainians are officially registeredas having arrived since 2022, andPoland has allocated 4.2% of its GDPto their support, according to the BBC.

Russia’s top negotiator unveils goal of talks with Ukraine (FULL STATEMENT)

Moscow aims to secure a lasting peace with Kiev, presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky has said

Moscow seeks to engage Ukraine in direct negotiations in Istanbul to secure a lasting peace, Russia’s chief negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky, told journalists on Thursday. The current effort represents a revival of the peace process he took part in that Kiev broke off three years ago, he added.

Both Russia and Ukraine have sent delegations to Türkiye following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s offer last week to resume direct talks aimed at resolving the conflict.

Moscow’s team is prepared to work constructively towards viable solutions.“It possesses all necessary qualifications and authority to conduct negotiations,” the presidential aide said in Istanbul.

The Russian delegation also includes Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Defense Minister Aleksandr Fomin and the head of Russia’s military intelligence, Igor Kostyukov. They are joined by several senior military and civil officials, as well as diplomats.

Here is Vladimir Medinsky’s speech in full:

Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky:Dear colleagues.

Last night, as previously reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a special meeting to prepare our delegation for the upcoming negotiations in Istanbul.

The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Russian Security Council, the Russian government, the Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as the heads of state security, intelligence, and the commanders of all Russian armed forces groups participating in the military operation [against Kiev].

Members of the delegation present here also took part in the meeting.

Foreign policy and security matters were discussed, with additional reports presented on the state of the economy and the defense industry.

The Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff, and all commanders of Russian army groups involved in the military operation [against Kiev] reported on the situation in the combat zone.

A detailed joint discussion followed.

Based on the participants' reports, the president issued instructions and outlined the negotiation position for the Russian delegation in Istanbul.

We view these talks as a continuation of the peace process in Istanbul, which was unfortunately interrupted by the Ukrainian side three years ago.

Our official delegation has been approved by presidential order and possesses all necessary qualifications and authority to conduct negotiations.

The delegation is adopting a constructive approach, focused on finding viable solutions and areas of common ground.

The aim of direct negotiations with the Ukrainian side is ultimately to secure lasting peace by addressing the fundamental root causes of the conflict.

The completely organized and professionalism of the Russians in their strategies, goals, solutions are way above the Ukraine team that came unprepared and just a few military people, without real diplomatic ideas. Russian has been planning this for years, to attain Peace and Success for all parties. Pretty impressive.

Zelensky reaffirms stance on new Russian borders

The Ukrainian leader has refused to formally recognize any of Kiev’s former territories as part of Russia

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has ruled out making any territorial concessions to Russia, following talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Thursday.

Moscow has previously said that returning the new Russian regions of Kherson, Zaporozhye and the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics is not up for discussion.

“The Crimean peninsula is Ukrainian, and it always will be,” Zelensky said, adding that the same applies to other territories claimed by Ukraine. “We cannot discuss territorial issues – that would violate our Constitution.”

Crimea, which is populated predominantly by ethnic Russians, voted to secede from Ukraine and join Russia shortly after the 2014 Western-backed coup in Kiev. The largely Russian-speaking Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, along with the regions of Kherson and Zaporozhye, did the same after holding referendums in September 2022.

US President Donald Trump told Time magazine last month that “Crimea will stay with Russia,” claiming that Zelensky understood this as well. According to reports, Trump’s proposed peace plan includes freezing the conflict along the current front line and recognizing Russian sovereignty over the peninsula.

On Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron, who took part in talks with Zelensky in Kiev on May 10, said,“Even Ukrainians themselves have the lucidity to acknowledge… that they will not have the capacity to reclaim everything that has been taken [by Russia] since 2014.”

At the end of April, Zelensky confirmed that “Ukraine does not have enough weapons to regain control of the Crimean peninsula by force.” He expressed hope that continued sanctions and diplomatic pressure on Russia could create conditions for future discussions on “territorial issues.”

Moscow and Kiev have both sent delegations to Türkiye after Russian President Vladimir Putin last week offered to resume direct dialogue to find a lasting settlement to the Ukraine conflict.

Zelensky initially rejected talks unless Moscow agreed to an unconditional 30-day ceasefire. However, he shifted his stance after US President Donald Trump publicly urged Kiev to engage.

The Kremlin has repeatedly argued that any long pause would be used by Ukraine to regroup its battered forces and continue its mobilization campaign.

https://www.rt.com/russia/617648-zelensky-stance-russian-borders/

It’s obvious the Kiev faction came unprepared and only want to demand what they cannot and will not ever have, they have been coached the Western forces in Europe, the EU wants the war to go on forever to weaken Russia. That won’t and can’t work, but they have dug in. If you look at Zelensky, it looks like his Chi is being drained and his time of resisting is coming to an end. Trump will not allow him to prevent the resolution of war, but if it does resolved, Zelensky’s biggest fear, is he is no longer needed by the EU deep state.

US lifts sanctions on Russia-linked international oil project

The Treasury Department has issued a new license easing restrictions on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium

The US government has allowed American and international companies to resume oil-related work involving a major Russia-linked project to deliver Caspian oil to the global market. The license, lifting restrictions on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) and the Kazakh company Tengizchevroil (TCO), was issued by the Treasury Department on Thursday.

The CPC includes major US oil companies such as Chevron and ExxonMobil among its stakeholdersand primarily facilitates the export of Kazakh oil through Russian territory and its shipment internationally.

The new General License No. 124 permits all transactions that were blocked under a January 10 decision which prohibited certain petroleum services involving Russia-related energy infrastructure.

CPC operates a major pipeline that transports oil from western Kazakhstan to the Black Sea coast of Russia, from where it is shipped globally by tanker. The 1,511-kilometer pipeline is one of the most important export routes for Kazakh oil, handling over 80% of the country’s crude exports.

The pipeline is jointly owned by multiple companies and governments. Russia holds a 24% stake through the state-owned operator Transneft. Other major shareholders include Chevron, ExxonMobil, Russia’s Lukoil and Kazakhstan’s national oil company KazMunayGas. Several smaller international firms also own shares.

Tengizchevroil is a joint venture that runs the massive Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan. It was formed in 1993 and is owned by Chevron (50%), ExxonMobil (25%), KazMunayGas (20%), and Lukoil (5%).

The earlier sanctions were imposed under Executive Order 14071, which targets services related to Russian energy projects. However, US authorities have made exceptions for projects that are considered critical to global energy markets or involve non-Russian stakeholders.

General License No. 121, issued in January, had already temporarily allowed some services for CPC and TCO. That license remains valid until June 28, 2025, but the new license appears to clarify and reaffirm that companies may continue their involvement in these projects without penalty until then.

According to the Treasury, the license covers activities like drilling, refining, transportation, and marketing of oil – provided they are connected to CPC or Tengizchevroil.

Earlier this year, CPC was forced to temporarily halt operations following two attacks by Ukrainian drones that damaged oil transfer stations linked to the pipeline network on Russian territory. The attacks came after Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump approved a partial ceasefire, under which both Moscow and Kiev committed to refraining from strikes on energy infrastructure.

https://www.rt.com/news/617644-us-sanctions-russia-oil-pipeline/

Can you imagine the multiple and giant multi party companies including US companies involvement in drilling and producing oil in that region, it’s unlimited. ==And the US and Russia haven’t even discussed the rare earth minerals in all Russia regions that Putin offered to and invited Trump and the US to be partners in the endeavors, squeezing out China that are un-invited.

Iran pitches ‘joint nuclear venture’ with US – NYT

The Islamic Republic has reportedly proposed an alternative to Trump’s demand that it halt uranium enrichment

Iran has proposed setting up a joint nuclear enrichment venture with Arab countries and US investment, The New York Times reported on Tuesday, citing four Iranian officials familiar with the matter.

The plan, reportedly presented by Iranian Foreign MinisterAbbas Araghchi during a meeting with American envoy Steve Witkoff in Omanon Sunday, was intended as an alternative to US President Donald Trump’s demand that Tehran completely dismantle its nuclear facilities.

A spokesman for Witkoff, Eddie Vasquez, denied the report, telling the NYT that a joint venture “was never floated or discussed.” The US and Iran have had no formal diplomatic relations since 1980.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed this week that demands for a complete shutdown of the country’s nuclear program were “unacceptable.”

“From our perspective, (uranium) enrichment is something that absolutely must continue, and there’s no room for compromise about that,” Araghchi said earlier this month.

Trump withdrew the US from the 2015 UN-backed nuclear deal during his first term in office, accusing the Islamic Republic of secretly violating the agreement. Tehran has denied any wrongdoing but has since rolled back its own commitments and increased its stockpile of enriched uranium.

Although both sides described the four rounds of Omani-mediated talks as a positive step, tensions remain as the US and Iran continue to clash over the war in Gaza, as well as attacks on international shipping and on Israel by Yemen’s Houthis.

During his Middle East tour on Tuesday, Trump called Iran the “most destructive force” in the region and insisted that it must never be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons.

https://www.rt.com/news/617560-iran-report-joint-nuclear/

(Iran should have taken the deal and someone down the road, pitch this idea, but they wouldn’t wait. Which is a sign that IRAN has no intention of ever obeying the ban to them. They might have just sealed their fate. Or they are just trying to show that they fought the Trump admin, but had to give in. Iran had friendly countries that wanted the negotiations to go smoothly.)

This is why I think that Trump was King Cyrus, or Trump studied King Cyrus as a child. KEK PS: Many Rabbis and Prophets think the same thing.

Cyrus the Great

Cyrus II of Persia (Old Persian: 𐎤𐎢𐎽𐎢𐏁 Kūruš; c. 600 – 530 BC),[b] commonly known as Cyrus the Great,[7] was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire.[8] Hailing from Persis, he brought the Achaemenid dynasty to power by defeating the Median Empire and embracing all of the previous civilized states of the ancient Near East,[8]expanding vastly across most of West Asia and much of Central Asia to create what would soon become the largest empire in history at the time.[8]

After absorbing the Median Empire, Cyrus conquered Lydia and eventually the Neo-Babylonian Empire, granting him control of Anatolia and the Fertile Crescent, respectively. He also led a major expedition into Central Asia, where his army brought "into subjection every nation without exception"[9] before he allegedly died in battle with the Massagetae, However, per Xenophon of Athens, Cyrus did not die fighting and had instead returned to the capital city of Pasargadae.[11]

• To the Greeks, he was known asCyrus the Elder(Κῦρος ὁ Πρεσβύτερος Kŷros ho Presbýteros) andwas particularly renowned among contemporary scholars because of his habitual policy of tolerance for peoples' customs and religions in the lands that he conquered.[12]

• Similarly,he is exalted in Judaism for his role in freeing the Jewish peoplefrom the Babylonian captivity by issuing the Edict of Restoration following the Persian conquest of Babylon. This event is described in the Hebrew Bible as the return to Zion, whereby displaced Jews were repatriated to what had been the Kingdom of Judah, thus enabling the resurgence of Jewish life in the Land of Israel.

• Cyrus alsofacilitated Jewish aspirationsfor a new Temple in Jerusalem in the Achaemenid Empire's Province of Judah, where the original Solomon's Temple had once stood before being destroyed during the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem.

His efforts resulted in the completion of the Second Temple, which marked the beginning of the Second Temple period and Second Temple Judaism. According to the Book of Isaiah,[13] hewas anointed by Yahwehand explicitly designated "messiah" for this task;

Cyrus is the only non-Jewish figure to be revered in this capacity.

• In addition to his influence on traditions in both the East and the West,

Cyrus is recognized for his achievements in human rights, politics, and military strategy.

• He was influential indeveloping the system of a central administration at his capital city to governthe Achaemenid Empire's satraps, who worked for the profit of both rulers and subjects.[8][15]

• His realm's prestige in the ancient world would gradually reach as far west as Athens, where upper-class Greeks adopted aspects of the culture of the ruling Persian class as their own.[16]

• Likewise, Cyrus' reign played a crucial role in defining the history of Iran for well over a millennium, as future Persian empires often viewed the Achaemenid era with deference and as the ideal example to emulate.

• His dynasty was also instrumental in allowing Zoroastrianism to develop and spread as far east as China.[17][18][19]

• To this end, he remains a cult figure in modern Iran, with his Pasargadae tomb serving as a spot of reverence for millions of the country's citizens.[20]

King Cyrus, also known as Cyrus the Great, was a builder and creatorwho founded the Achaemenid Empire, which became the largest empire in the world at the time of his rule.34 He expanded his kingdom through a combination of conquest and diplomacy, showing his skills as both a warrior and a statesman.

'Biggest Self-Own In The History Of The Internet': Hillary Clinton Tries To Get Cute Over Qatar

THURSDAY, MAY 15, 2025 - 06:00 PM

Authored by Steve Watson via modernity.news,

Hillary Clinton can’t help herself when it comes to President Trump, posting on X Wednesday “No one gives someone a $400 million jet for free without expecting anything in return. Be serious,” in reference to Trump’s acceptance of a luxury Boeing 747 from Qatar’s royal family.

Everyone quickly pointed out the hypocrisy, given the Clinton Foundation’s history of accepting substantial donations from Arab states, including Qatar, during her tenure as Secretary of State.

The Clinton Foundation has received over $40 million from Arab countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and even accepted a $1 million gift from Qatar in 2011 without informing the State Department, despite Clinton’s agreement to disclose such contributions for review.

Respondents noted that Clinton’s post, comments closed as ever, reopened scrutiny of her own ethical lapses, with many pointing out that she’s the last person who should be commenting on this matter.

• Clinton’s out here tweeting “be serious” about Trump’s plane while her Foundation’s Qatari cash begs for a mirror.

• Her money laundering front Foundation is basically an ATM for Arab donors.

• She’s permanently residing in a glass house.

• Hillary was on speed dial for Qatari cash.

• It’s OK when they do it!

• The Uranium One scandal was also referenced, with claims that Clinton facilitated a deal benefiting Russian interests after donations to her foundation, further fueling accusations of double standards.

• Hillary isn’t getting an award for self-awareness any time soon.

• This Is The Last Thing Hillary Clinton Should Be Talking About…

• How about that Qatari fan mail.
