Harish mayor Yitzhak Keshet was indicted on Sunday for indecent acts, fraud and breach of trust, after seven women complained of sexual assault experienced at his hands.

Per the indictment, while serving as the council head of Harish - before it became a city - Keshet took advantage of his power position to establish inappropriate sexual relationships with several women, and committed sexual acts against them. They all either worked in the municipality, or sought out its services.

Many of these acts of violation took place in the municipality's offices and during work hours. In a few instances, he worked to advance the requests put in by the women, the indictment adds.

Benz claimed that U.S. taxpayer-funded programs, including those run through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the American Bar Association, helped draft Romania’s post-Cold War constitution and restructured its judiciary.

“This was done through the American Bar Association, funded by USAID, sending their delegations of lawyers to go over there to control the prosecutors, to control the judges,” Benz said.

Half a million march to Downing Street to urge Starmer to cut ties with Israel

An estimated 600,000 people marched through central London to Downing Street on Saturday to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the Nakba.

The demonstration began at Embankment before passing Big Ben, crossing the river to Waterloo and ending up outside Downing Street.

It was organised by the Palestine Solidarity Compaign, Friends of Al-Aqsa, the Muslim Association of Britain, Stop the War, the Palestinian Forum in Britain and other pro-Palestine groups.

Protesters came from around the country, including from Wales and northern England. Stop the War said the demonstration was attended by an estimated 600,000 people, making it the biggest since November 2023.

The Palestine Solidarity Campaign said the march was intended to “mark the 77th anniversary of the 1948 Nakba and demand our government take action to end the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their land”.

The Nakba, or catastrophe, refers to the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by Zionist militias to make way for the creation of Israel in 1948.

Small counter-protest

A small contingent of pro-Israel protestors stood on the Strand at the north end of Waterloo Bridge, chanting: “Terror supporters off our streets”. Indian flags were seen being waved alongside Israeli flags.

Outside Downing Street, the pro-Palestine marchers heard from several speakers, including MP Apsana Begum, Palestinian ambassador Hussam Zumlot and historian William Dalrymple.

Saturday’s protest came as Israel continues its blockade on Gaza, now on day 77. Bombings have increased in the past week and the death toll in Gaza has surpassed 53,000 since 7 October 2023.

During the Nakba in 1948, Zionist forces killed thousands of Palestinians, destroyed hundreds of villages and forcibly expelled 80 percent of the Palestinian population from their homeland.

After more than a year of relentless violence, the newly created State of Israel captured 78 percent of historic Palestine.

The remaining 22 percent, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, were occupied by Israel 19 years later and remain under Israeli military rule.

As some of you know, I was the Air Force Military Aide for Bill Clinton, lived in the White House, traveled everywhere they traveled, and carried the “nuclear football.” As such, I was always in close proximity to both Bill and Hill.

Among the military who served in the White House and the professional White House staff, the Clinton administration was infamously known for its lack of professionalism and courtesy, though few ever spoke about it. But when it came to rudeness, it was Hillary Clinton who was the most feared person in the administration. She set the tone. From the very first day in my assignment.

When I first arrived to work in the White House, my predecessor warned me. “You can get away with pissing off Bill but if you make her mad, she’ll rip your heart out.” I heeded those words. I did make him mad a few times, but I never really pissed her off. I knew the ramifications. I learned very quickly that the administration’s day-to-day character, whether inside or outside of DC, depended solely on the presence or absence of Hillary. Her reputation preceded her. We used to say that when Hillary was gone, it was a frat party. When she was home, it was “Schindler’s List.”

In my first few days on the job, and remember I essentially lived there, I realized there were different rules for Hillary. She instructed the senior staff, including me, that she didn’t want to be forced to encounter us. We were instructed that “whenever Mrs. Clinton is moving through the halls, be as inconspicuous as possible.” She did not want to see “staff” and be forced to “interact” with anyone. No matter their position in the building. Many a time, I’d see mature, professional adults, working in the most important building in the world, scurrying into office doorways to escape Hillary’s line of sight. I’d hear whispering, “She’s coming, she’s coming!” I could be walking down a West Wing hallway, midday, busier than hell, people doing the administration’s work whether in the press office, medical unit, wherever. She’d walk in and they’d scatter. She was the Nazi schoolmarm and the rest of us were expected to hide as though we were kids in trouble. I wasn’t a kid, I was a professional officer and pilot. I said “I’m not doing that.”

There was also a period of time when she attempted to ban military uniforms in the White House. It was the reelection year of 1996, and she was trying to craft the narrative that the military was not a priority in the Clinton administration. As a military aide, carrying the football, and working closely with the Secret Service, I objected to that. It simply wasn’t a matter of her political agenda; it was national security. If the balloon went up, the Secret Service would need to find me as quickly as possible. Seconds matter. Finding the aide in military uniform made complete sense. Besides, what commander in chief wouldn’t want to advertise his leadership and command? She finally relented because the Secret Service weighed in.

The Clintons are corrupt beyond words. Hillary is evil, vindictive, and profane. Hillary is a bitch.

GPS Disruption Reported In World's Most Critical Maritime Chokepoint

A new report has emerged stating that vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz are experiencing GPS interference, disrupting electronic navigation systems and forcing commercial ships to rely on manual or backup methods in one of the world's most critical maritime chokepoints.

UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced on X late Sunday morning that it has "received reports from vessels experiencing GPS interference in the Strait of Hormuz area, with disruptions lasting several hours, affecting navigation systems and requiring vessels to rely on backup methods."

UKMTO provided no further information on the source of the GPS interference. However, if it was caused by a foreign adversary such as Iran, GPS interference in the critical maritime chokepoint would be considered a form of hybrid warfare.

GPS interference or spoofing falls into the domain of non-kinetic warfare—it doesn't involve firing weapons but can degrade vessel operations in the strait.

The incident occurred after Iran's president and the US agreed to continued nuclear talks on Saturday.

"We are negotiating, and we will negotiate, we are not after war but we do not fear any threat," President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a speech to the military broadcasted on state television.

The issue with GPS disruptions in the strait is that it's considered an energy superhighway for the global economy. About 20% of global oil (and about 30% of seaborne-traded oil) passes through the narrow stretch of water (approximately 17 to 20 million barrels of oil per day) that connects the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea.

Last year, analysts led by Tom Joyce, managing director and capital market strategist at MUFG, showed clients the critical maritime chokepoints across the Middle East, including the Suez Canal, the Bab-El Mandeb Strait, and the Strait of Hormuz. This note was published around the time Iran-backed Houthis were just getting started on their campaign to attack US and Israel-linked ships in the Southern Red Sea.

Former state premiers and state parliamentarians who benefit from the previous, more generous pension scheme will be exempt from the Albanese government’s controversial super tax.

The office of Treasurer Jim Chalmers confirmed the exemption with Sky News Sunday Agenda after he said that federal politicians would not be exempted.

This is because it is a constitutional requirement to make certain individuals exempt from the tax, such as some former state office holders.

The list of exempted individuals includes:

Member of staff of governor of a state

A minister of the government of a state

A member of staff of a Minister or the government of a state

The clerk of a house of parliament of a state

The head of a department of parliament of a state

The head of a department of the public service of a state

Anglican diocese seeks to sell property to pay child sex abuse claims

The North Queensland Anglican Diocese needs to find millions of dollars to compensate victims of historic child sexual abuse under the National Redress Scheme.

The Bishop of North Queensland is preparing a Supreme Court application to allow the church to sell off parishes and dissolve charitable trusts.

The abuse claims against the diocese stretch back as far as the 1950s, with most cases occurring in the 1960s to 1980s.

Bishop Joseph said the diocese was under "tremendous pressure" to meet its moral and financial obligations under the National Redress Scheme (NRS).

The scheme was created in 2018, a year after the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse handed down its final report.

Bishop Joseph declined to reveal how many claims the north Queensland diocese faced.

But he said the church had a moral and legal obligation to meet its commitments to survivors and that meant making difficult choices.

"This is about integrity. If we say we believe in justice, we have to act like it," Bishop Joseph said.

Sale of church real estate

The Anglican Diocese of North Queensland has 50 parishes across 75 congregations stretching from central Queensland to the Torres Strait in the north and Mount Isa in the west, including in the major regional cities of Cairns, Townsville and Mackay.

The Townsville-based diocese has already sold its bishop's residence and diocesan office.

Bishop Joseph said no active church buildings would be sold without proper consultation.
