Moderna Withdraws Application For Combination COVID-19–Influenza Vaccine

Moderna on May 21 said it withdrew its application for a license for its combination vaccine against COVID-19 and influenza.

“The Company plans to resubmit the [application] later this year, after vaccine efficacy data from the ongoing Phase 3 trial of its investigational seasonal influenza vaccine, mRNA-1010, are available,” Moderna stated. “Moderna continues to expect interim data from the mRNA-1010 trial to be available this summer.”

Moderna and some other vaccine makers began testing combination COVID-19–flu shots during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company said in 2024 that its combination vaccine performed well in a phase 3 clinical trial. Moderna researchers said in May that in the trial, the vaccine elicited immune responses that were at least as good as those from standard influenza vaccines and its COVID-19 vaccine.

Moderna had asked for licensure for its combination vaccine for people aged 50 and older, a population that is among the most susceptible to both influenza and COVID-19.

There are no combination COVID-19 vaccines on the market.

Pfizer and BioNTech reported in 2024 that their combination COVID-19–influenza vaccine in a phase 3 trial triggered immune responses against an influenza A strain and COVID-19 that were at least as good as those seen after flu and COVID-19 vaccination, but that the antibody levels were lower against influenza B for people who received the combination shot than the levels triggered by standard flu vaccination.

“We are committed to developing vaccines that will reduce the burden of respiratory diseases and believe that combination vaccines are the most efficient way to do this,” Annaliesa Anderson, a Pfizer senior vice president, said at the time. “Today’s results provide insight and direction towards achieving this goal, and we remain optimistic about our combination COVID-19 and influenza program, for which we are evaluating the next steps.”

Moderna’s announcement came one day after FDA officials said they would not approve COVID-19 vaccines for many Americans without trial data showing that the benefits of the shots outweigh the risks.

“We want to know more about what the products are doing, especially as we enter the seventh, eighth, ninth doses,” Dr. Vinay Prasad, head of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said at a town hall.

Antonio Gracias, a private equity investor and senior official in the Department of Government Efficiency, revealed the startling methodology used by DOGE staff to uncover voter fraud involving illegal immigrants, describing it as "just the tip of the iceberg.”

“We've sampled a handful of states, and in those handful of states, we found people registered to vote, and we have found people who actually voted,” Gracias said, detailing the meticulous process used by DOGE staff in an interview at the All-In summit in Miami. “This is all being done by sampling. Okay, so we are sampling DHS data and then have to go to the voter rolls, check the voter rolls, and then check them.”

The process, as Gracias explained, involves cross-referencing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data with state voter rolls. “We give that to HSI, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), who goes and checks the voter record by subpoena and the voter and the cards you sign when you vote,” he added. The results have already led to action in Florida, where Gracias noted, “We had already three arrests here in Florida, actually, and one in one indictment.”

Gracias elaborated on how some individuals, including illegal immigrants, obtained the ability to vote. “They legally secured social security numbers through the process we talked about last time, asylum or some special program or whatever,” he said. “They were given, you know, an associate number by filing a 765 and getting authorization. They registered to vote, and they actually voted in 2020 and/or 2024.”

One case stood out in particular, the founder of Valor Equity Partners told the All-In crew.

“Three have been arrested; I just want to say this carefully: three have been arrested, and one has been indicted,” Gracias stated. “The one we indicted, I want to just stop on this guy for a minute: he’s an Iraqi national. He voted in 2020 in New York. He went to prison for shooting somebody, shot some guy’s hand off, and has charged, if I remember correctly, 160, 60, or $70,000 of benefits through Medicaid.”

Gracias revealed that the indicted individual may no longer be in the U.S., saying, “We think he is now in Iraq because he’s active on his Facebook page, and the IP address is from Iraq.” He praised the collaborative efforts of federal agencies, adding, “Credit to our friends at HSI, our partners HSI, and to DOJ for tracking this down. I got to tell you guys, it’s difficult, laborious work.”

When asked about the scope of the election integrity issue, Gracias was frank while exercising caution. “My opinion is that this is the tip of the iceberg,” he said. “How big the iceberg is, I don’t know, and I don’t want to speculate because I think it would be, not that I think we can do at this moment. I think we’ll have more data over time.”

Epstein’s Lawyer Brokered Plea Deal Based On Intelligence Ties While Not Knowing About Them

After our correspondent asked White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about pedophile-ring operator Jeffrey Epstein’s potential ties to intelligence agencies and the state of Israel (see above), we followed the exchange up with an article listing some of the evidence behind that theory. Of note was this portion:

In 2007, Southern Florida Attorney Alex Acosta chose to not press charges against Epstein despite numerous young girls alleging abuse. Acosta reportedly did so because he was told that Epstein "belonged to intelligence" and that it was "above his paygrade" and to "leave it alone".

Epstein's lawyer who brokered the deal with Acosta was Alan Dershowitz who self-admittedly has been "working for the state of Israel" for decades and was key in negotiating the release of the Mossad agents rounded up after 9/11 caught photographing and celebrating the World Trade Center attacks… thus the lawyer has a history of brokering non-prosecution deals on behalf of Mossad.

It appears conservative influencer Benny Johnson may have read that snippet because — after retweeting the White House exchange — Johnson interviewed Dershowitz the following day and asked him the infamous plea deal.

Johnson received an interesting reply:

So… Dersh, you brokered the plea deal with Acosta? Yes. The plea deal wherein Acosta was told Epstein belonged to intelligence and that Acosta should back off? Yes. Then you knew Epstein was working for intelligence? Hmm. I don’t know. It’s possible. We had lunch in Israel once I think.

Also, did you catch him saying Epstein "killed himself or was killed."

Changing Tones
