Video: Joe Biden Wanders the Room Ignored by Everyone After Obama EventApril 6, 2022

After the press event on Tuesday with former President Bartack Obama at the White House, the current President, Joe Biden, was left to wander the room desperately seeking the attention of anyone who wanted to talk to him. At one time, Biden put his left hand on Obama’s shoulder, as if to say, “Hey Barack, I’m here too,” but Obama actually leaned forward and sort of brushed it away.

What’s going on here in the White House?

=The first video isn’t even the worst, though it does illustrate how many people, mostly other elected Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, would much rather get a word in with the former president than the sitting president:

Literally no one wants to talk to Joe Biden pic.twitter.com/ApZ2saHt71

— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) April 5, 2022

It’s not a good look for a President that already has a reputation of being aloof and adrift with the country floundering under his poor leadership.

The other video, brutal in a different way, shows Biden trying to get Barack Obama’s attention but being waved off:

https://twitter.com/PapiTrumpo/status/1511488269095120900.

It’s not that Biden isn’t getting any attention since clearly plenty of people wish to talk to the sitting President of the United States. As the saying went under the Obama administration, it’s the “optics” of the situation that is problematic for Biden.

Some media outlets took notice as well, pointing out that Biden had to jump on Twitter to deflect reports that he was being overshadowed or ignored by the former president:

Joe Biden was pictured Tuesday looking lost after fans ignored him to flock around Barack Obama during the former president’s first trip back to the White House since leaving office.

Biden, 79, was filmed raising his hands in gentle exasperation Tuesday, as he was ignored by a group who instead ran to greet Obama, 60.

Criticism of the awkward interactions emerged on Twitter, causing the 43rd president to jump to his former VP’s defense.

‘Always great catching up with @POTUS,’ he wrote Tuesday evening.

In some ways, it seemed like a cruel rejection of the man Democrats used as a vessel to prevent Donald Trump from winning a second term:

Did anyone else think treatment of Biden today was awful? He's done everything "they" wanted him to do & they kick him to the curb leaving him to wander around while they fawn over Obama (sans Michelle). These are not nice ppl, they don't, or can't even pretend protocol: poor JB

— Connie (@GirlPainting) April 6, 2022

Joe Biden is being used by many people around him in many different ways. He’s there as a figurehead for the country and the Democratic Party, but is he really in charge? If he is leading the White House on policy and agenda, then it’s pretty clear that his leadership abilities are leaving a lot to be desired.

On the other hand, if Joe Biden is not the one driving the car, then perhaps it doesn’t matter what the state of the economy is since he’s not pulling the strings anyway.(they knew back in 2022, he wasn’t running the White House)

Biden wandering the room is a great metaphor for the United States wandering the global stage right now. No clear goals or objectives to make the country stronger, just a mish-mash of progressive policies designed to weaken America in every way that no one wants to accept.

>>23076503 Counter-terror police probing 'Russian involvement' in Keir Starmer-linked property firesPN

So typical it’s always Russia even though the three men that attacked his property were from and were Ukrainians.

The Russiagate Colluders have forever deemed that anything that goes on around the world and especially in Europethat Russia Did It, Starmer is a pedo, he hired these young men in his home, what did they do behind closed doors. Did Starmer not pay them? Or were these young men sent by Zelensky to compromise Starmer, so he had blackmail over him.

These are much more believable stories above than Russia did it. Although it not impossible but at this time when the UK, France, EU and NATO are aligned against Russia, would Putin really take the chance to do something that stupid. Further Putin and Russia Do Not want to damage his relationship with Trump.

This is bullshit everything they say is bullshit, and when this war is over, Russia should Sue every country and their leaders, including CIA for starting the lie in the first place.

They even blamed Russia for blowing up their own profitable pipeline, even though Bidan said with Scholz in the room, he’d stop the pipeline.

Every obvious truth does not exist in this world of corruption, if it’s ever revealed what every country has done to their own people, there will be revolts against their leaders.

Russia and Ukraine complete second stage of record prisoner swap

Moscow and Kiev have exchanged 307 POWs from each side, the Russian Defense Ministry has said

Another 307 Russian soldiers have been released as a result of a record prisoner exchange with Ukraine which was agreed on during the direct negotiations between Moscow and Kiev in Türkiye earlier this month, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

The Russian troops have been sent to Belarus, where they are receiving psychological and medical assistance, the ministry explained.

The ministry announced on Saturday that “in line with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on May 16 in Istanbul, another 307 Russian servicemen were returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime.”

The Ukrainian side has received 307 of its POWs from Russia in return, it added.

Moscow and Kiev agreed to a record 1,000 for 1,000 prisoner swap during the first direct talks between the sides in three years in Türkiye earlier this month. The exchange started on Friday, with 120 Russian civiliansand 270 military personnel being released from Kiev’s captivity and an equal number of Ukrainian civilians and troops also returning home.

The troops will soon depart Belarus and undergo additional treatment and rehabilitation at the ministry’s medical facilities, it added.

The ministry said that the large-scale exchange, initiated by the Russian side, will continue.

Kiev can’t retake lost regions – former top general

Ukraine barely has the resources to fight for its own survival, Valery Zaluzhny has said

Kiev should abandon its ambition to regain control over the territories it has lost to Russia,Valery Zaluzhny, the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, has said. Only through a “miracle” could Ukraine achieve such a goal, according to the general.

“I hope that there are no people in this hall who are still hoping for some miracle… that will bring peace to Ukraine and will bring back the borders of 1991 or 2022,” the former commander, now serving as Kiev’s ambassador to London, said at a Ukrainian defense export forum on Thursday

Zaluzhny was referring to Kiev’s claims over Crimea and four other regions that have since joined Russia. Crimea voted to return to Russia in the wake of the Western-backed Maidan coup in Kiev in 2014, and the two Donbass republics, as well as Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, followed suit in autumn 2022 following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February of that year.

Kiev has never recognized the referendums’ results and continues to claim sovereignty over the regions.

According to Zaluzhny,Kiev is locked in a “war of attrition” with Moscow, and Russia still has the resources to strike at Ukrainian targets and conduct offensive operations. Ukraine faces “a tremendous shortage of human resources and…a catastrophic economic situation,” the retired general warned.

Under such circumstances, Ukraine can only wage a “high-tech war of survival,” where it should strive to use “minimal resources” to achieve “maximum” results, Zaluzhny maintained. He said thatthe country “is not capable” of waging any other type of war and “should not even think about it.”

Zaluzhny’s remarks come amid continued Russian advances on the front line. In late April, Moscow’s troops fully liberated Kursk Region on the Ukrainian border, driving out Kiev’s forces that had occupied some areas there last year.

Over the past seven days alone, the Russian military has taken control of six settlements, including four villages in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. (The longer Kiev drags out peace talks, the more territory they lose.)

Last week, Moscow and Kiev held their first direct peace talks in three years, following a call by President Vladimir Putin to resume negotiations without preconditions. Both sides are now expected to exchange draft proposals, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Ukraine reports major Russian strike on Kiev

The alleged attack follows three days of constant Ukrainian drone raids in which Russia claims to have intercepted nearly 1,200 hostile UAVs

Ukrainian officials have claimed that Moscow launched a wave of missile and drone strikes on Kiev overnight. The Russian Ministry of Defense has yet to comment.

The first wave of explosions in Kiev was heard at around 10pm on Friday, with further blasts reported at 1am and continuing into the early morning hours. Ukraine’s Air Force repeatedly issued warnings about incoming ballistic missile and drone threats throughout the night.

Ukrainian authorities said that the capital’s air defenses were engaging multiple incoming targets simultaneously. They later reported that at least eight people were injured by falling debris, but no fatalities were confirmed.

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet issued a statement on the incident. Moscow regularly carries out drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure, insisting that its operations do not target civilian facilities.

Ukrainian forces have significantly stepped up attacks over the past week, the Russian military reported on Friday, stating that a total of 1,177 long-range drones were interceptedbetween 8pm on May 20 and 8am on May 23.

The large-scale air raid began on Tuesday evening, with the border regions of Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk absorbing most of the initial strikes. Air defenses were also activated in the Orel, Ryazan, Kaluga, Ivanovo, Vladimir, Voronezh, and Lipetsk regions, according to the ministry.

Meanwhile,Moscow Region– far from the front line –also endured multiple nights of fixed-wing drone barrages. Airports in the capital and several surrounding regions were repeatedly forced to suspend operations due to the incursions, resulting in significant flight delays. Similar disruptions occurred earlier this month in the lead-up to celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany in World War II.

The chairman of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, had warned thatMoscow would deliver an “appropriate and harsh response” to the nightly attacks Ukraine carried out with drones and Western-supplied missiles.

On Friday, Moscow and Kiev began the first stage of a major military and civilian prisoner exchange, with additional swaps expected over the weekend. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that once the exchange is complete, Moscow will likely be ready to present its proposed peace memorandum, as discussed during last week’s negotiations in Istanbul.

Moldovan Orthodox bishop blocked from religious trip again

The cleric was detained and searched at the airport, after a similar Easter incident triggered international outcry

Chisinau is conducting a systematic crackdown on the Moldovan Orthodox Church, a senior cleric claimed on Friday after being detained and prevented from traveling abroad.

Bishop Marchel previously made headlines in April when he was barred from boarding a flight to Jerusalem for the Orthodox Easter ‘Holy Fire’ ceremony – a move by the nation’s pro-Western government that drew international criticism.

The Orthodox bishop said he was stopped at Chisinau International Airport and subjected to a search, causing him to miss his flight ahead of a planned pilgrimage to a religious site in Türkiye.

Speaking to Sputnik Moldova,Bishop Marchel described the search as “humiliating” and said that he had repeatedly requested the presence of his lawyer, whom he had hired in advance in anticipation of possible trouble. However, border police proceeded without his legal representation, the cleric said, andhe was only released after his flight had already departed.

Bishop Marchel said the incident was part of a broader campaign by the country’s government targeting the Moldovan Orthodox Church.

“I classify this as mass persecution, mass oppression of the Moldovan Orthodox clergy. Hundreds of clergymen and simple believers who made pilgrimages to holy places in Russia have been fined,” he said in a comment to RT.

“This is simply because we are an integral part of Russian Orthodoxy,”the cleric said.

In April, Chisinau’s apparent move to prevent Bishop Marchel’s pilgrimage to Jerusalem drew international criticism and condemnation by Moldova’s political opposition, as well as by the Russian Orthodox Church. The UN Human Rights council has opened an inquiry into the incident.(UN bends to EU, they hate religion themselves)

In recent years, Moldova has seen religious tensions involving two major Orthodox factions: the Moldovan Orthodox Church, affiliated with the Moscow Patriarchate, and the Metropolis of Bessarabia. The latter is under the Romanian Orthodox Church, which is being backed by the pro-EU authorities in Chisinau.

Critics have repeatedlyaccused President Maia Sandu’s governmentof pressuring the Moscow-linked church to shift allegiance to Romania.

Moldova, a former Soviet republic, has sought EU and NATO membership since 2020, when Sandu – an outspoken critic of Russia – came to power. Her pro-Western policies have faced growing criticism domestically, particularly over the country’s economic trajectory and handling of dissent.

Sandu has defended her actions as part of a broader effort to counter alleged pro-Russian influence, launching crackdowns on opposition parties and media outlets that she describes as criminal entities.

EU to roll back Ukraine trade perks

Tariffs on agricultural imports will be reinstated after current waivers expire, as pressure mounts from Eastern European members

EU member states have approved the reimposition of import quotas on Ukrainian agricultural goods, European Commission spokesperson Balazs Ujvari has said, as cited by Euroactiv. The current duty-free trade regime is set to expire on June 5.

Brussels abolished tariffs and quotas on Ukrainian agricultural produce following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in February 2022. The bloc adopted special regulations, known as Autonomous Trade Measures (ATMs), aimed at enabling grain and other farm products from Ukraine to reach global markets. However, the influx of cheap Ukrainian produce into Eastern European countries sparked widespread protests among local farmers, particularly in Poland.

The latest move, endorsed by a majority of EU nations at a meeting on Thursday morning, introduces a set of “transitional measures” that will phase out the ATMs and reimpose certain trade controls.

Some restrictions have already been reintroduced over the past year, targeting commodities such as oats, sugar, and eggs. The selective reinstatements came in response to months of protestsin Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and other countries neighboring Ukraine, where farmers said they could no longer compete with tariff-exempt goods.

Politico previously reported, citing a draft act, that the EU was considering replacing ATMs with revised limits underUkraine’s existing trade framework with the bloc, known as the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), rather than extending the measures on a yearly basis.

Commenting on the latest news, the chair of the Ukrainian Parliament’s economic affairs committee,Dmitry Natalukha, told Euractiv that halting the ATMs could cost Kiev more than €3 billion ($3.4 billion), which he said is equal to around 70% of the country’s projected total economic growth for the current year. (Stop the leaders stealing the aid sent to Ukraine and then you won’t have a problem. Or find the money the leaders sent away to their banks. Ukraine has taken in a 1/2 a billion dollars+ for arms, not counting the U.S. paying all the salaries and agencies, including pensions in Ukraine. If they can’t financially survive with all the aid, it should be named a failed state, and taken over by Europe. This money stealing has been going on in Ukraine since the mid 90s, they will never be economically feasible as a state.)

(I wonder if the EU is getting tired of this Welfare state, especially since they are not part of Europe or the EU?They are already freaked out Trump said he’s pulling outwhen the Russia/Ukraine peace is final. They said, “now we will be fully responsible for Ukraine”! KEK!)

Kiev’s drone raids meant to derail peace process – Moscow

Russia’s commitment to peace dialogue remains unchanged despite Ukraine’s daily attacks on civilians and non-military infrastructure, the Russian Foreign Ministry has said

Ukraine is trying to derail direct peace talks by intensifying drone strikes against non-military targets in Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday. It accusedUkraine’s “party of war” of conducting “terrorist attacks” against civiliansin what it described as a political strategy to obstruct negotiations.

According to the Russian military, 776 drones and 12 missiles were intercepted above the country’s territory between Tuesday and Friday morning, while 12 drones hit their targets. On Saturday morning, the Defense Ministry in Moscow reported that another 104 UAVs had been intercepted inside Russia overnight.

“The Kiev regime is relentless in its terror attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure in numerous Russian regions, including Moscow,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

Over the course of just two days, one person was killed and 20 others – including four children – were injured in Ukrainian drone strikes. Four more civilians, including two children, were wounded when the city of Lgov in Kursk Region was hit by a US-supplied HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, according to the statement.

The strikes on non-military targets are “part of a strategy pursued by Ukraine’s party of war,” the ministry added.

“The latest barbaric terrorist attacks by the Kiev regime were carried out in an attempt to thwart direct Russia-Ukraine talks facilitated by the US administration [of President Donald Trump], which are aimed at settling the conflict definitively,” the Foreign Ministry stated.

The Russian military will respond appropriately to the intensified drone raids by Kiev, but “unlike the Ukrainian side, our targets will be strictly limited to military facilities and defense industry plants,” it said.

The Foreign Ministry concluded bystressing that Moscow’s “fundamental commitment to a constructive search for a peaceful settlement through dialogue remains unchanged.”

Direct talks between Russia and Ukraine resumed in Istanbul earlier this month after a three-year pause, with both sides agreeing to present detailed proposals of their vision of a ceasefire, to carry out a record 1,000 for 1,000 prisoner swap, which started on Friday, and to continue negotiations.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that Moscow is at an “advanced stage” in preparing a memorandum outlining the principles and timeline for a peace settlement with Ukraine.Russia will be ready to present its draft peace proposal by the time the two sides complete their latest military and civilian POW swap, he said.

The timeframe for the next meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations has “not yet been determined,” Lavrov added.

Trump ‘gutting the Deep State’ inside National Security Council – media

More than 100 staffers have been abruptly fired, sources involved in the reorganization said on Friday

The Trump administration has moved to drastically overhaul the National Security Council (NSC), reportedly placing more than 100 officials on administrative leave andslashing the powerful advisory and coordination body’s staff, as part of what one White House source described asan effort to “gut the Deep State.”

Multiple reports on Friday confirmed that staff across nearly all NSC directorates –including those handling key global hotspots such as Ukraine, Iran and the Indo-Pacific== – were dismissed with little notice. According to CNN and Reuters, employees received emails late Friday afternoon informing them they had just 30 minutes to clear their desks.

An administration official described the reorganization to Axios as astrategic shift aimed at reducing bureaucratic interferenceand concentrating foreign policy decision-making at the highest levels of government, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio – who is also serving as acting national security adviser – playing a central role.

“The NSC is the ultimate Deep State,” the official said. “It’s Marco vs. the Deep State. We’re gutting the Deep State.”

Rubio, who has led efforts to downsize the State Department and USAID, emphasized that the goal is toreturn the NSC to its “original purpose”as a coordinating body, not a policy-shaping institution.

“The NSC will now be better positioned to collaborate with agencies,” he told Axios in a statement, without confirming the exact scope of the cuts.

According to officials who spoke anonymously, theplan is to cut the NSC staff to around 50 people– down from more than 300 under the Biden administration, and even below the leaner structure Trump implemented during his first term.Entire directorates may be eliminatedor consolidated, including those overseeing Africa policy and NATO coordination, multiple sources told Reuters.

Senior administration officials reportedly cited Trump’s recent reversal of Syria sanctions as an example of thenew top-down model. “The president gave the order. The cabinet followed. No need for endless layers of committees,” one official told Axios.“This is reverse workflow in action.”

The dismissals came just weeks after Trump fired former national security adviser Mike Waltz and nominated him as ambassador to the United Nations, following leaks involving sensitive military plans. Waltz had reportedly lost influence after inadvertently inviting a journalist into a private chat about Yemen airstrikes.

The abrupt reorganization, carried out just ahead of Memorial Day weekend, marks one of the most sweeping institutional shake-ups of Trump’s second term to date.It reportedly affected both career officials and Trump’s own political appointees.

The White House did not comment publicly on the staffing decisions, but Rubio is expected to continue leading the NSC indefinitely, with deputy national security advisers Andy Baker and Robert Gabriel assisting him under the new structure.

Marjorie Taylor Greene picked a fight with Grok

11:09 AM PDT · May 23, 2025

Last week, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok experienced a “bug” that made it tell users about the “white genocide” conspiracy theory in South Africa, even when prompted with questions that had nothing to do with the topic … and soon after, Grok expressed skepticism over the Holocaust death toll, which it chalked up to a “programming error.”

But with a degree of mental gymnastics that could put Simone Biles to shame,Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has decided that Elon Musk’s robot baby Grok is too far left.

“Grok is left leaning and continues to spread fake news and propaganda,” Greene wrote on X.

She shared a screenshot in which Grok says that Greene is a Christian who has expressed her belief in Jesus, but concedes that some Christians are troubled by her support for conspiracy theories like QAnon.

“Critics, including religious leaders, argue her actions contradict Christian values of love and unity, citing her defense of January 6 and divisive rhetoric,” Grok wrote in the screenshot Greene shared.

X was already having a particularly challenging day — the app has been experiencing outages for hours, which could possibly be related to fires that broke out in its Oregon data center yesterday.

But while Greene may be a known peddlerof harmful misinformation and conspiracies, she did actually make a great point in the end: “When people give up their own discernment, stop seeking the truth, and depend on AI to analyze information, they will be lost,” she said on X.

Senate Judiciary leaders spar over US attorney nominees

The committee’s top Democrat is vowing to place holds on Trump attorney nominees.

Hailey Fuchs

HAILEY FUCHS

05/23/2025, 3:39PM ET

Leadership of the Senate Judiciary Committee is sparring over ranking member Dick Durbin’s decision to block the swift confirmation of a U.S. attorney nominee — and his warning that he could do the same for others.

The Illinois Democrat had announced earlier this week that he would put a hold on the U.S. attorney nominee for the Southern District of Florida, Jason Reding Quiñones, who is now a state judge in Florida. In doing so, Durbin would create a procedural hurdle that would likely slow Quiñones’ confirmation at a time when the Trump administration has yet to confirm any U.S. attorney nominees in the Senate.

Durbin, who cautioned he could do the same for other U.S. attorney nominees, likened his tactics to those deployed by Vice President JD Vance, back when he was a Republican senator from Ohio. At that time, Vance put a hold on a number of Biden-era U.S. attorney nominees, vowing he would do so for every Department of Justice nominee in the wake of the department’s second indictment against President Donald Trump.

“[T]here is now a new precedent for roll call votes on the Floor for confirming U.S. Attorney nominees,” Durbin said in a statement. “As I’ve said time and time again—there cannot be one set of rules for Republicans and another set for Democrats.”

But committee Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) isaccusing Durbin of “playing politics” with the issue, and arguing that Vance did not, in fact, set a new precedentwhen he put the holds on attorney nomineestoward the end of the Biden administration.

“Placing a blanket hold on all U.S. Attorney nominees before the Trump administration has filled even a single one of the 93 Attorneys’ Officeswould constitute an aggressive, unprecedented attack on the American criminal justice system,” Grassley said in a statement.

“Holds should be used selectively,” Grassley continued. “Blanket holds intended to wholly obstruct the confirmation process are misguided and threaten to undermine the Senate’s advice and consent role.”

🚨#BREAKING SCOOP: IS DEI STILL PLAGUING THE SECRET SERVICE?

FRACAS OUTSIDE OBAMA RESIDENCE RAISES NEW QUESTIONS: Get a supervisor "immediately before I whoop this girl's ass."

Two female Secret Service Uniformed Division officers got into a physical fight outside former President Obama's D.C. residence while guarding it. The fracas occurred at roughly 2:30 a.m. early Wednesday morning, according to two sources in the Secret Service community.

The lack of professionalism was on display during the fight and in a call one of the women made on a recorded Secret Service line to request a supervisor to come to the scene "immediately before I whoop this girl's ass."The woman officer who made the call was upset that her shift replacement was late and assailed her verbally and physically when she finally did arrive to relieve her. Audio of the early a.m. call is now circulating among agents and officers and is attached to this X post.

It's unclear whether either woman was injured or whether they will be disciplined over the altercation. The fight did not wake anyone in the Obama residence or the surrounding neighborhood, the sources said.

The incident is raising new concerns among fellow Secret Service agents and officers about the agency's lowering of hiring standardsduring years of a major DEI push to add more minorities and women to the ranks under previous Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.

Cheatle resigned under a cloud after the J13 assassination attempt against Donald Trump. The Secret Service for years has experienced low morale and a severe manpower shortage, which is also contributing to lower hiring standards as the agency works to increase its agents and officers.
