To run a tool
That detects whether or not there is
A steganographic message in a file
BEFORE they use a decoder to extract the message
Steganography is a way of hiding a short bit of data
Inside an image file.
It can be any kind of data, even a short file
If you want to help a friend pirate some software
You could send them the keyfile
But if you are worried about being caught
You could hide it in an innoccuous photo
Post that on 4chan
And then send an SMS to your friend
Saying He dude did you see that girl with the piercings that was just posted to /pol?
He hates pierced females so he knows you are sending him a coded message
And downloads the photo
And extracts the keyfile.
This is what spies do. Intelligence agents.
