I don't think Cohen is the enemy but instead just playing his part.

By recording Trump and not just 'enemies' of Trump, i.e Cuomo, its show impartiality.

He was not just recording specific people/conversations but everyone.

By releasing Trumps tape first it sets the path to release any others he may have recorded, if need be.

The release of the Trump tape appears pre-planned to me. He evens chucks in the Coke meme to ensure it gets alot of attention in the media. The media pounce on it asap, like the tax returns, and blow it up in their face yet again.

If private recordings of Trump aren't off limits by the Media why should others be?

And i'm not just talking about Cohens but HRC, BHO etc.

Remember, the name of the game is to both set the stage and appear as neutral as possible, to the public, as you hunt down the bad actors.
