Ukraine cannot operate the long-range missile without German assistance, a top lawmaker has said

Russia could authorize strikes inside Germany if Ukraine receives and attacks it with German Taurus cruise missiles, a senior Russian lawmaker has warned. State Duma Defense Committee chairman Andrey Kartapolov insists that the weapon requires German military assistance to operate.

Speculation that Germany could supply Ukraine with Taurus missiles, which can potentially reach Moscow, reemerged earlier this week after Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Berlin and its partners had allowed Kiev to use Western weapons without any range restrictions.

When asked by journalists on Wednesday about possible deliveries of the weapon, Merz replied that they are “possible,” adding that Ukrainian troops would require “several months of training” to be able to launch them.

Kartapolov told the Life.ru outlet on Wednesday that Russia is “ready for everything” and will respond to the possible shipments of Taurus missiles to Kiev.

“We are ready to shoot down the Taurus’, and to strike the places from where they would be launched and those who would launch them, and, if necessary, the places from where they would have been delivered,” he warned.

The senior lawmaker, who is a former Russian deputy defense minister and holds the rank of colonel-general, stressed that the long-range missiles that had been earlier supplied to Ukraine by the US, UK and France – ATACMS, Storm Shadow and SCALP, respectively – can only be launched by their own specialists.

This is because “the Ukrainian military lacks experts capable of operating such equipment. That is, the Ukrainians can press the ‘start’ button - it is not a problem, but they cannot input the data,” which comes from American and Western European satellites, he explained.

“If Germany transfers these missiles. Then, naturally, there will be German specialists on the ground” making sure that they can be launched, Kartapolov said.

The German Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that Berlin will give another $5.6 billion in military aid to Kiev, most of which will be used to “finance the production of long-range weapon systems in Ukraine.”

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reacted to the development by saying that Berlin’s “direct involvement in the war is now obvious.” According to Lavrov, Germany “is sliding down the same slippery slope it already followed a couple of times in the last century – down toward its own collapse.”

AI CEO issues stark warning

Up to 50% of entry-level white-collar jobs may be lost in the next five years, according to Anthropic’s Dario Amodei

Artificial intelligence could eliminate half of all entry-level white-collar jobs within the next five years, the CEO of American AI research company Anthropic, Dario Amodei has warned.

In a statement to Axios published on Wednesday, Amodei, who co-founded Anthropic and is a former OpenAI executive, said he hopes to jolt the US government and fellow developers into preparing for the consequences of rapid automation. AI could spike unemployment in the US to 10-20% in the next one to five years, he warned.

AI development companies are already working on systems that could soon replace workers in technology, finance, law, consulting and other white-collar professions, particularly entry-level positions, Amodei claimed.

The public and politicians are still “unaware” that a major shift is about to happen and insisted that companies and officials needed to stop “sugar-coating” what lies ahead, particularly for younger workers.

Earlier this month, a report by the Linux Foundation, commissioned by Meta, found that open source AI is already transforming the economy by boosting efficiency, innovation, cost savings, and revenue gains.

However, Amodei has expressed concern that people could continue to stay ignorant of the threat of being replaced by AI, especially if the US government chooses to stay silent on the issue out of fear of spooking workers or falling behind China.

Soon, “almost overnight,” business leaders will see savings in replacing humans with AI and implement a change “en masse.” They will stop opening new jobs or backfilling existing ones, and replace human workers with automated alternatives, Amodei claimed.

He has proposed several mitigation strategies, including a special index to track AI’s impact across occupations, and briefings for lawmakers to raise awareness. He also suggested a “token tax” — a system where a percentage of AI-generated revenue would be redistributed by the government.

Amodei’s warning comes as a number of major companies have recently started laying off a considerable amount of workers, which some believe is being done in anticipation of major shifts due to AI.

Earlier this month, Microsoft fired some 6,000 workers, mostly engineers, despite reporting strong sales and profits. Walmart has cut 1,500 corporate jobs to “simplify operations” while Crowdstrike - a Texas based cybersecurity company - has slashed 500 positions citing “a market and technology inflection point, with AI reshaping every industry.”

U.S. Cancels $700 Million Moderna Bird Flu Vaccine Contract

Is the Moderna cancellation a signal that the administration is moving away from escalating bird flu pandemic orchestration?

It’s difficult to tell right now.

The unprecedented cancellation comes just after the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) quietly confirmed the federal government’s plans to launch clinical trials for a “universal vaccine” for influenza in 2026—a synthetic injection built by fusing together parts of multiple virus strains into a single dose.

It also comes after the Trump admin’s recent announcement of the development of a $500 million “next-generation, universal vaccine platform” called ‘Generation Gold Standard’ that will focus on bird flu jab creation.

This website has been sounding the alarm since early 2024 on the government’s orchestration of a coming bird flu pandemic, when we reported the USDA was simultaneously performing gain-of-function experiments on purported bird flu viruses (the problem) while developing an mRNA shot against the pathogens (the solution).

The news is welcome for those opposed to government pandemic planning.

But Moderna isn’t giving up.

“While the termination of funding from HHS adds uncertainty, we are pleased by the robust immune response and safety profile observed in this interim analysis of the Phase 1/2 study of our H5 avian flu vaccine and we will explore alternative paths forward for the program,” said Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel. “These clinical data in pandemic influenza underscore the critical role mRNA technology has played as a countermeasure to emerging health threats.”

Earlier this month, we reported how Moderna just opened a new 290,000 sq ft facility in the U.K. that will produce up to 250 million vaccines per year.

According to Moderna’s new press release, the pandemic profiteer “will explore alternatives for late-stage development and manufacturing of the H5 program consistent with the Company’s strategic commitment to pandemic preparedness.”

It could be that the administration is still moving forward with bird flu orchestration and merely looking at different vaccine platforms, like those utilizing “self-amplifying mRNA” (sa-mRNA) technology.

For example, Arcturus Therapeutics announced in November that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had granted approval for its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for ARCT-2304, a self-amplifying mRNA injection targeting the H5N1 bird flu virus.

So is this the end of bird flu pandemic orchestration—or just a pivot from Moderna’s mRNA to a new wave of even more experimental, self-replicating genetic platforms?

Time will tell.

Berlin offers Kiev another €5 billion

Funding the production of long-range arms makes German involvement in the Ukraine conflict “obvious,” according to Moscow

Berlin will provide Kiev with another €5 billion ($5.6 billion) in military aid on top of the €28 billion it has given since the escalation of the Ukraine conflict in early 2022, the German Defense Ministry has announced. Moscow has stated in response that further assistance to Ukraine could precipitate the “collapse” of Germany.

The funds promised by Berlin would principally be used to “finance the production of long-range weapon systems in Ukraine,” the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov, who arrived in Berlin together with Vladimir Zelensky, signed a defense cooperation deal between the two countries.

“A significant number” of long-range weapon systems can be manufactured inside Ukraine this year, the statement read without specifying the types of arms.

Hundreds Of FAA Employees Hit Exit

A host of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees have been departing from the agency recently, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The agency is facing a growing number of employees either quitting or retiring, including some senior FAA leaders, fueling concerns that the departures could potentially affect air-traffic control, the WSJ first reported on Thursday. FAA workers are “departing the agency in mass quantities across all skill levels,” according to a May 7 internal presentation to senior FAA leadership discussing the agency’s so-called deferred-resignation program, the WSJ reported.

A separate presentation from the FAA’s human-resources staff noted that over 1,200 employees were resigning through the agency’s deferred-resignation program, according to the WSJ. The agency’s frontline safety employees, such as safety personnel including air-traffic controllers and engineers, are not eligible for this program, according to the WSJ.

The FAA said that the mass departure of staffers, including retirements and resignations, make up roughly 3% of its total workforce and would not impact the agency’s safety-critical functions, the WSJ reported.

The FAA presentation said that staff departures could potentially impact medical clearances for air-traffic controllers and pilots being processed, as well as runway safety work, according to the WSJ.

The FAA has faced increased scrutiny after a deadly midair collision occurred near the Reagan National Airport (DCA) on Jan. 29. Earlier in May, FAA official Franklin McIntosh said while testifying before the Senate Commerce Committee that a hotline between DCA and the Pentagon had been down since March 2022, and his agency had previously not known about the outage.

“We are refreshing an organization that is built for the future,” an FAA spokeswoman told the WSJ.

The Western Media Brought Gaza To This Point

A plan that is so correct and so revolutionary.’

“This represents the first time the US president’s plan for moving Gaza civilians out of the Strip has been presented as an Israeli demand for ending the war.”

Trump’s stated plan for Gaza is to remove “all” Palestinians from the enclave and never allow them to return. Netanyahu is here saying that the ethnic cleansing of Gaza is Israel’s ultimate military objective.

Which has been obvious from the very beginning. On the 20th of October 2023, a mere 13 days after October 7, I myself posted the following:

“Israel’s being so obvious about wanting to do another land grab. The solution to every problem is to move Gazans off the land they’re on to somewhere else. Hawaii Becomes First State to Introduce a Climate Change Tax on Visitors

Hawaii's new tax on hotel stays and cruise cabins will generate $100 million annually to fund environmental protections and climate disaster preparedness starting in 2026.

Hawaii made history Tuesday, becoming the first U.S. state to implement a "Green Fee," which will charge visitors an additional tax to help protect the state's environment and build resilience against climate disasters.

The policy will increase the state's transient accommodations tax (TAT) by 0.75%, bringing the total rate to 10%. The fee will apply to hotel stays, short-term rentals, and, for the first time, cruise ship cabins. It is projected to generate approximately $100 million annually beginning in 2026.

"Today Hawaii ushers in the first Green Fee in the nation. Once again, Hawaii is at the forefront of protecting our natural resources, recognizing their fundamental role in sustaining the ecological, cultural and economic health of Hawaii," Governor Josh Green said at the signing ceremony.

The bill emerged following the 2023 wildfires that decimated Lahaina and many other parts of Maui. In 2024, Governor Green established the Climate Advisory Team, led by Chris Benjamin, to develop community-informed policy recommendations for climate resilience funding.

"The Green Fee bill marks a historic investment in climate disaster resilience and environmental protection," Benjamin said. "Using the TAT to fund resiliency projects ensures that the financial burden of safeguarding our ʻāina and people doesn't fall upon residents alone."

The new fee addresses what supporters say is an equity issue in Hawaii's tourism industry. By applying the tax to cruise ships — a sector that has long been exempt from the transient accommodations tax — the legislation ensures all visitors contribute to the islands' environmental protection efforts.

State Senator Lynn DeCoite, who represents District 24 covering parts of Maui and surrounding islands, said the matter is an issue of responsibility.

"I think it's really about our kuleana, to the state, to the people of Hawaii. Climate change is here and has been a super-huge challenge for all of us," she said. "The bill shares the responsibility of caring for our home with those who come to visit, to ensure that our natural resources are cared for, for future generations."

State Representative Adrian Tam of Waikiki's District 24 praised the diverse coalition that supported the legislation.

"The funds raised by this bill will go toward much-needed environmental stewardship as well as erosion mitigation and restoration projects, so it is really a win-win for all of us," he said. "The signing of this bill will ensure that the investments in resilience and taking preventive measures will protect Hawaii's environment and our economy, and it will soon save taxpayer dollars in the long run."

However, the policy has its skeptics. Members of Hawaii's tourism industry, the Maui Chamber of Commerce and the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii argued in written testimony that the tax increase would harm residents.

There is nothing in the file at this point on the Epstein case – and there will be a disclosure on this coming shortly. There is video that is something the public –”

Bongino replied: “Not the actual act, but the entire MCC bay, there was only one camera, there were other – there is video and when you look at the video, and we will release it, we’re working on cleaning it up to make sure you have an enhanced – and we will give the original so you don’t think there are any shenanigans – you will see no one in there but him. There’s just nobody there.”

He continued: “I say to people of the time — if you have a tip, let us know — but there is no DNA, there’s no audio, there’s no fingerprints, there’s no suspects, there’s no accomplices, there’s no tips. There is nothing. If you have it, I’m happy to see it. There’s video clear as day, he’s the only person in there and only person coming out. You can see it.”

The late Amy Kaplan, in her book, Our American Israel: The Story of an Entangled Alliance, explored how these narratives developed through popular culture and the media’s reporting on the Israeli government’s actions throughout the 20th century, particularly in the United States. Professor Joan Scott, professor emerita in the School of Social Science at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton and adjunct professor of history at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, joins host Chris Hedges on this episode of The Chris Hedges Report to discuss Kaplan’s book and how prevalent it is in the face of Israel’s genocide of the Palestinians.

“Part of the invincible victim story is that Jews have to always be alert about defending themselves against any sign that the Holocaust is about to reappear and then attribute it to Palestinians, the possibility that they will bring another Holocaust,” Scott says. “So the whole defense industry of Israel, the whole occupation of Gaza and the West Bank become a way of arguing against the possibility of another Holocaust.”

The program collects nasal swab samples from arriving passengers and tests airplane wastewater for traces of pathogens. This level of data collection could set a precedent for future government tracking beyond public health concerns.

Critics warn that mandatory biosurveillance could lead to increased government control over travel and personal health data. The lack of transparency surrounding how genomic information is stored and used adds to the growing unease. Once these systems are in place, rolling them back becomes nearly impossible.

Former Deputy Superintendent of the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office Arrested and Charged With Extortion

BOSTON – The former Deputy Superintendent at the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged extortion scheme to force subordinate employees to perform free labor at his residence.

Thomas Brady, 53, of Norwood, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on four counts of extortion and three counts of use of interstate facilities to commit bribery and extortion. Brady was arrested this morning and will appear in federal court in Boston later today.

According to the charging documents, from 2021 through May 2023, Brady served as the Assistant Deputy Superintendent (ADS) for Jail Operations at NCSO. Brady was promoted in May 2023 to Deputy Superintendent. It is alleged that, between December 2021 and mid-November 2022, Brady utilized his official position and authority as an ADS to order two NCSO maintenance officers (Maintenance Officers A and B), who were subordinate in position to Brady, to perform home repairs at his residence during and after work hours.

During the first instance, in late 2021, Brady allegedly ordered Maintenance Officer A to install a new showerhead at Brady’s residence. Because of Brady’s position and authority as an ADS at the NCSO, Maintenance Officer A feared that if they refused Brady’s request, Brady would use his official position and authority to negatively affect Maintenance Officer A’s job position at NCSO – including the possibility of causing Maintenance Officer A to lose their preferred shift schedule, position and/or employment at the NCSO.

It is alleged that Maintenance Officer A complied with Brady’s order and Brady drove Maintenance Officer A to his residence to install the showerhead, during NCSO work hours. Brady then allegedly drove Maintenance Officer A back to NCSO to continue their workday.

There are literally hundreds of court cases, dating back over a thousand years, of Jews murdering and draining the blood of young Christian children. The book Isabella of Spain by William Thomas Walsh is a good example of the latter. It's a biography of Queen Isabella and it contains a story of Jewish Ritual Murder that occurred in Spain in 1490, where a Jew named Yuce confessed to the crucifixion of a young Christian boy named Christopher and admitted that the boy had been murdered in hatred of Jesus Christ. Yuce named his accomplices and described the boy's abduction and crucifixion. Eight Jews, including some who had pretended to be converts to Christianity, were executed for their crime.
